Outstanding performances of graphite||NMC622 pouch cells enabled by a non-inert diluent

Although high salt concentration electrolyte(HCE)can construct effective Li F-rich interphase film and solve the interphasial instability issue of graphite anode,its high cost,high viscosity and poor wettability with electrode materials limit its large-scale ***,localized high concentration electrolyte(LHCE)is obtained by introducing an electrochemically inert diluent into HCE to avoid the above-mentioned problems while maintaining the high interphasial stability of HCE with graphite *** traditional inert diluents,1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluropropyl ether(TTE)with electrochemical activity is introduced into propylene carbonate(PC)-based HCE to obtain LHCE-2(1 M LiPF_(6),PC:DMC:TTE=1:1:6.1)*** and theoretical simulation results show that TTE participates in the oxidation decomposition and film-forming reaction at the NCM622 cathode surface,conducting a cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)rich in organic fluorides with excellent electron insulation ability,high structural stability and low interphasial *** to the outstanding interphasial properties induced by LHCE-2,the graphite||NMC622 pouch cell reaches a capacity retention of 80%after 500 cycles at 1 C under room *** at sub-zero temperatures,the capacity released by the cell with LHCE-2 electrolyte is significantly higher than that of HCE and conventional EC-based ***,the LHCE-2 electrolyte inherits the advantages of TTE flame-resistant,thus improving the safety of the battery.

The effect of platinum(a rare metal)-aluminide coating parameters on the tensile properties of nickel-based superalloy Rene■80 was evaluated at 871℃.For this purpose,initial layers of platinum with different thicknesses(2,4,6 and 8μm)were coated on tensile samples Then,low-temperature high-activity(LTHA)and hightemperature low-activity(HTLA)processes were used for *** of microstructural evaluations using scanning electron microscope(SEM)and phase analysis by X-ray diffraction(XRD)showed a three-layer structure coating for different platinum layer thicknesses and both aluminizing *** the thickness of the platinum layer from 2 to 8μm led to the improvement in the final coating thickness from 91.6 to 102.1μm in *** increase was from 128.1 to 148.6μm in *** results of hot tensile tests at 871℃ showed a decrease in strength properties of the coated samples compared to the uncoated ***,HTLA and high thicknesses of the initial platinum layer showed an intense *** results of fractographic evaluations abou uncoated samples showed a ductile *** the other hand,coated samples showed a simultaneous ductile and brittle fracture failure *** the main fracture morphology was brittle cleavage fracture which was for the HTLA.

Optimization of HMM Parameters Based on Chaos and Genetic Algorithm for Hand Gesture Recognition

In order to prevent standard genetic algorithm (SGA) from being premature, chaos is introduced into GA, thus forming chaotic anneal genetic algorithm (CAGA). Chaos ergodicity is used to initialize the population, and chaotic anneal mutation operator is used as the substitute for the mutation operator in SGA. CAGA is a unified framework of the existing chaotic mutation methods. To validate the proposed algorithm, three algorithms, i. e. Baum-Welch, SGA and CAGA, are compared on training hidden Markov model (HMM) to recognize the hand gestures. Experiments on twenty-six alphabetical gestures show the CAGA validity.

Feature-aligned segmentation using correlation clustering

We present an algorithm for segmenting a mesh into patches whose boundaries are aligned with prominent ridge and valley lines of the shape. Our key insight is that this problem can be formulated as correlation clustering(CC), a graph partitioning problem originating from the data mining *** formulation lends two unique advantages to our method over existing segmentation methods. First,since CC is non-parametric, our method has few parameters to tune. Second, as CC is governed by edge weights in the graph, our method offers users direct and local control over the segmentation result. Our technical contributions include the construction of the weighted graph on which CC is defined, a strategy for rapidly computing CC on this graph, and an interactive tool for editing the segmentation. Our experiments show that our method produces qualitatively better segmentations than existing methods on a wide range of inputs.

Intercontinental comparison of phylogenetic relatedness in introduced plants at the transition from naturalization to invasion:A case study on the floras of South Africa and China

Convergence of an adaptive mixed finite element method for convection-diffusion-reaction equations

We prove the convergence of an adaptive mixed finite element method(AMFEM) for(nonsymmetric) convection-diffusion-reaction equations. The convergence result holds for the cases where convection or reaction is not present in convection- or reaction-dominated problems. A novel technique of analysis is developed by using the superconvergence of the scalar displacement variable instead of the quasi-orthogonality for the stress and displacement variables, and without marking the oscillation dependent on discrete solutions and data. We show that AMFEM is a contraction of the error of the stress and displacement variables plus some quantity. Numerical experiments confirm the theoretical results.

Effect of colloid-size copper-based pesticides and wood-preservatives against microbial activities of Gram-positive Bacillus species using five-day biochemical oxygen demand test

Copper-based pesticides and wood preservatives could end up in the environment during production,use,and end-of-life via different pathways that could cause unintended ecolog-ical and adverse health *** paper provides the effect of colloid-size Cu-based pesti-cides(CuPRO and Kocide),micronized Cu azole(MCA-1 and MCA-2)and alkaline Cu quater-nary(ACQ)treated woods,Cu^(2+),Cu^(2+) spiked untreated wood(UTW),and CuCO_(3) solutions against Gram-positive Bacillus species using five-day biochemical oxygen demand(BOD 5)stan-dard *** total Cu leached from MCA-1,MCA-2,and ACQ in Milli-Q water after 5 days were -0.1,-0.11,and -0.64 g/kg of wood,***,the form of Cu leached from MCA woods was mostly ionic(>90%).The total organic carbon(TOC)content of any tested wood(UTW/MCA-1/MCA-2/ACQ)was -99%of its corresponding total carbon(TC)content,whereas the TOC of any tested wood sawdust exceeded that of its corresponding piece/block by>300%.The dissolved oxygen(DO)consumption value in the presence of Cu^(2+),CuCO_(3),CuPRO,and Kocide solutions was significantly influenced by Cu particles/***,the DO consumption value in the presence of UTW/MCA-1/MCA-2/ACQ woods was significantly influenced by organics leached from *** the other hand,the DO consumption of MCA sawdust was greater than(300%)that of MCA pieces/*** findings of this study provide more insight into how organics leached from woods significantly reduce the toxic effects of Cu ions against Gram-positive Bacillus species.

Hygroscopicity of particles generated from photooxidation of α-pinene under diferent oxidation conditions in the presence of sulfate seed aerosols

Smog chamber experiments were conducted to investigate the hygroscopicity of particles generated from photooxidation of α-pinene/NOx with different sulfate seed aerosols or oxidation conditions. Hygroscopicity of particles was measured by a tandem differential mobility analyzer （TDMA） in terms of hygroscopic growth factor （Gf）, with a relative humidity of 85%. With sulfate seed aerosols present, Gf of the aerosols decreased very fast before notable secondary organic aerosols （SOA） formation was observed, indicating a heterogeneous process between inorganic seeds and organic products might take place as soon as oxidation begins, rather than only happening after gas-aerosol partition of organic products starts. The final SOA-coated sulfate particles had similar or lower Gf than seed-free SOA. The hygroscopicity of the final particles was not dependent on the thickness but on the hygroscopicity properties of the SOA, which were influenced by the initial sulfate seed particles. In the two designed aging processes, Gf of the particles increased more significantly with introduction of OH radical than with ozone. However, the hygroscopicity of SOA was very low even after a long time of aging, implying that either SOA aging in the chamber was very slow or the Gf of SOA did not change significantly in aging. Using an aerosol composition speciation monitor （ACSM） and matrix factorization （PMF） method, two factors for the components of SOA were identified, but the correlation between SOA hygroscopicity and the proportion of the more highly oxidized factor could be either positive or negative depending on the speciation of seed aerosols present.

Ketoconazole Associated Hepatotoxicity: A Systematic Review and Metaanalysis

Objective To evaluate the incidence of Ketoconazole associated hepatotoxicity and related factors Methods Literature retrieval was conducted by using multi-databases for meta-analysis on Ketoconazole associated hepatotoxicity. The data were collected with a standardized form. Overall estimation of incidence of hepatotoxicity for specific study type was calculated by using a DerSimonian-Laird random-effects model owing to the substantial differences among the studies. Results Totally 204 eligible studies were included in the analysis. The incidence of Ketoconazole associated hepatotoxicity was 3.6%-4.2%. The dosage and duration specific subgroup analyses did not show any significant difference among groups, while the age specific subgroup analysis showed the incidence in children and people aged 〉60 years was 1.4% （95% CI 0.5%-4.2%） and 3.2% （95% Cl： 1.1%-8.7%） respectively. Additionally, the incidence of the hepatotoxicity was higher in people who had oral administration of ketoconazole beyond the provisions of the usage instructions, and the incidence was 5.7% （95% CI： 4.5%-7.2%）. Conclusion Ketoconazole associated hepatotoxicity was common. Off-label use might increase the risk of liver damage. Well-designed large sample studies are needed to identify the risk factors in future.

Viral infections and cell cycle G2/M regulation

Progression of cells from G2 phase of the cell cycle to mitosis is a tightly regulated cellular process that requires activation of the Cdc2 kinase, which determines onset of mitosis in all eukaryotic cells. In both human and fission yeast (Schizosaccharomyces pombe) cells, the activity of Cdc2 is regulated in part by the phosphorylation status of tyrosine 15 (Tyr15) on Cdc2, which is phosphorylated by Wee1 kinase during late G2 and is rapidly dephosphorylated by the Cdc25 tyrosine phosphatase to trigger entry into mitosis. These Cdc2 regulators are the downstream targets of two well- characterized G2/M checkpoint pathways which prevent cells from entering mitosis when cellular DNA is damaged or when DNA replication is inhibited. Increasing evidence suggests that Cdc2 is also commonly targeted by viral proteins, which modulate host cell cycle machinery to benefit viral survival or replication. In this review, we describe the effect of viral protein R (Vpr) encoded by human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) on cell cycle G2/M regulation. Based on our current knowledge about this viral effect, we hypothesize that Vpr induces cell cycle G2 arrest through a mechanism that is to some extent different from the classic G2/M checkpoints. One the unique features distinguishing Vpr-induced G2 arrest from the classic checkpoints is the role of phosphatase 2A (PP2A) in Vpr-induced G2 arrest. Interestingly, PP2A is targeted by a number of other viral proteins including SV40 small T antigen, polyomavirus T antigen, HTLV Tax and adenovirus E4orf4. Thus an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying Vpr-induced G2 arrest will provide additional insights into the basic biology of cell cycle G2/M regulation and into the biological significance of this effect during host-pathogen interactions.
