Enhancing transboundary natural tourism resources governance:unveiling the spatial pattern and its influencing factors

Tourism resources that span provincial boundaries in China play a pivotal role in regional development,yet effective governance poses persistent *** study addresses this issue by constructing a comprehensive database of transboundary natural tourism resources(TNTR)through amalgamation of diverse data *** the Getis-Ord Gi^(*),kernel density estimation,and geographical detectors,we scrutinize the spatial patterns of TNTR,focusing on both named and unnamed entities,while exploring the influencing *** findings reveal 7883 identified TNTR in China,with mountain tourism resources emerging as the predominant *** provinces,Hunan boasts the highest count,while Shanghai exhibits the *** China demonstrates a pronounced clustering trend in TNTR distribution,with the spatial arrangement of biological landscapes appearing more random compared to geological and water *** China,characterized by intricate terrain,exhibits fewer TNTR,concurrently unveiling a significant presence of unnamed natural tourism ***,administrative segmentation influences TNTR development,generating disparities in regional goals,developmental stages and intensities,and management *** response to these variations,we advocate for strengthening the naming of the unnamed transboundary tourism resources,constructing a geographic database of TNTR for government and establishing a collaborative management mechanism based on TNTR *** research contributes to elucidating the intricate landscape of TNTR,offering insights for tailored governance strategies in the realm of cross-provincial tourism resource management.

Pyran-and furanocoumarins are key representatives of tetrahydropyrans and tetrahydrofurans,respectively,exhibiting diverse physiological and medical ***,the biosynthetic mechanisms for their core structures remain poorly *** we combined multiomics analyses of biosynthetic enzymes in Peucedanum praeruptorum and in vitro functional verification and identified two types of key enzymes critical for pyran and furan ring biosynthesis in *** included three distinct *** prenyltransferases(Pppt1e3)responsible for the prenylation of the simple coumarin skeleton 7 into linear or angular precursors,and two novel CYP450 cyclases(PpDC and PpOC)crucial for the cyclization of the linear/angular precursors into either tetrahydropyran or tetrahydrofuran *** analyses of cyclases indicated that acid/base-assisted epoxide ring opening contributed to the enzyme-catalyzed tetrahydropyran and tetrahydrofuran ring *** possible acid/base-assisted catalytic mechanisms of the identified cyclases were theoretically investigated and assessed using site-specific *** identified two possible acidic amino acids Glu303 in PpDC and Asp301 in PpOC as vital in the catalytic *** study provides new enzymatic tools in the epoxide formation/epoxide-opening mediated cascade reaction and exemplifies how plants become chemically diverse in terms of enzyme function and catalytic process.

Plants require a number of essential elements in different proportions for ensuring their growth and *** elemental concentrations in leaves reflect the functions and adaptations of plants under specific environmental ***,less is known about how the spectrum of leaf elements associated with resource acquisition,photosynthesis and growth regulates forest biomass along broad elevational *** examined the influence of leaf element distribution and diversity on forest biomass by analyzing ten elements(C,N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Zn,Fe,Cu,and Mn)in tree communities situated every 100 meters along an extensive elevation gradient,ranging from the tropical forest(80 meters above sea level)to the alpine treeline(4200 meters above sea level)in the Kangchenjunga Landscape in eastern Nepal *** calculated communityweighted averages(reflecting dominant traits governing biomass,i.e.,mass-ratio effect)and functional divergence(reflecting increased trait variety,i.e.,complementarity effect)for leaf elements in a total of 1,859 trees representing 116 *** increasing mass-ratio effect and decreasing complementarity in leaf elements enhance forest biomass accumulation.A combination of elements together with elevation explains biomass(52.2%of the variance)better than individual elemental trait diversity(0.05%to 21%of the variance).Elevation modulates trait diversity among plant species in biomass *** promotes biomass at lower elevations,but reduces biomass at higher elevations,demonstrating an interaction between elevation and *** interaction between elevation and mass-ratio effect produces heterogeneous effects on biomass along the elevation *** research indicates that biomass accumulation can be disproportionately affected by elevation due to interactions among trait diversities across vegetation *** higher trait variation enhances the adaptation of species to environmental changes,it reduces

Epidemiological features of seasonal influenza transmission among 11 climate zones in Chinese mainland

Background Previous studies provided some evidence of meteorological factors influence seasonal influenza transmission patterns varying across regions and latitudes. However, research on seasonal influenza activities based on climate zones are still in lack. This study aims to utilize the ecological-based Koppen Geiger climate zones classification system to compare the spatial and temporal epidemiological characteristics of seasonal influenza in Chinese mainland and assess the feasibility of developing an early warning *** Weekly influenza cases number from 2014 to 2019 at the county and city level were sourced from China National Notifiable Infectious Disease Report Information System. Epidemic temporal indices, time series seasonality decomposition, spatial modelling theories including Moran’s/ and local indicators of spatial association were applied to identify the spatial and temporal patterns of influenza *** All climate zones had peaks in Winter-Spring season. Arid, desert, cold (BWk) showed up the first peak. Only Tropical, savannah (Aw) and Temperate, dry winter with hot summer (Cwa) zones had unique summer peak. Temperate, no dry season and hot summer (Cfa) zone had highest average incidence rate (IR) at 1.047/100,000. The Global Moran’s/ showed that average IR had significant clustered trend (z = 53.69,P 3 and 6.21) with unique dual peaks in winter and spring season showed by seasonality *** Seasonal influenza exhibited distinct spatial and temporal patterns in different climate zones. BACKGROUND Medication errors,especially in dosage calculation,pose risks in *** intelligence(AI)systems like ChatGpt and Google Bard may help reduce errors,but their accuracy in providing medication information remains to be *** To evaluate the accuracy of AI systems(ChatGpt 3.5,ChatGpt 4,Google Bard)in providing drug dosage information per Harrison's Principles of Internal *** A set of natural language queries mimicking real-world medical dosage inquiries was presented to the AI *** were analyzed using a 3-point Likert *** analysis,conducted with Python and its libraries,focused on basic statistics,overall system accuracy,and disease-specific and organ system *** ChatGpt 4 outperformed the other systems,showing the highest rate of correct responses(83.77%)and the best overall weighted accuracy(0.6775).Disease-specific accuracy varied notably across systems,with some diseases being accurately recognized,while others demonstrated significant *** system accuracy also showed variable results,underscoring system-specific strengths and *** ChatGpt 4 demonstrates superior reliability in medical dosage information,yet variations across diseases emphasize the need for ongoing *** results highlight AI's potential in aiding healthcare professionals,urging continuous development for dependable accuracy in critical medical situations.

Parkinson's disease is the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disorder ***,it is characterized by severe motor complications caused by progressive degeneration of dopaminergic *** treatment is focused on mitigating the symptoms through the administration of levodopa,rather than on preventing dopaminergic neuronal ***,the use and development of neuroprotective/disease-modifying strategies is an absolute need that can lead to promising gains on translational research of Parkinson's *** instance,N-acetylcysteine,a natural compound with strong antioxidant effects,has been shown to modulate oxidative stress,preventing dopamine-induced cell *** the evidence of neuroprotective and modulatory effects of this drug,as far as we know,it does not induce per se any regenerative ***,it would be of interest to combine the latter with innovative therapies that induce dopaminergic neurons repair or even differentiation,as stem cell-based *** cells secretome has been proposed as a promising therapeutic approach for Parkinson's disease,given its ability to modulate cell viability/preservation of dopaminergic *** approach represents a shift in the paradigm,showing that cell-transplantation free therapies based on the use of stem cells secretome may represent a potential alternative for regenerative medicine of Parkinson's ***,in this review,we address the current understanding of the potential combination of stem cell free-based strategies and neuroprotective/disease-modifying strategies as a new paradigm for the treatment of central nervous system neurodegenerative diseases,like Parkinson's disease.
