Evaluating the effectiveness of hospitalized occupational rehabilitation on social functioning in chronic schizophrenic patients

AIM:To evaluate the effectiveness of hospitalized occupational rehabilitation for chronic schizophrenic patients in social ***:79 qualified cases were selected from chronic psychiatric inpatient departments,divided into two groups randomly,of which 45 cases of treatment group accepted hospitalized occupational rehabilitation,another 34 cases of control group accepted ordinary *** functioning was evaluated by the Scale of Social Skills of Chronic Schizophrenic In patients(SSSI). RESULTS:6 month course of research figured out that the rank of improvement of the total disability degree of the treatment was significantly larger than that of the control group(P< 0.05).Items of which rank of improvement of the treatment was significantly larger than those of the control group are participating in the occupational rehabilitation,social withdraw and concern and care about others (P< 0.01-0.05).The level of disability of 55.6%of the treatment decreased more than that of the control (26.5%) (P< 0.05) evaluated by ***:Hospitalized occupational rehabilitation is effective in improving social functioning of chronic schizophrenic patients,especially in improving items like participating in the occupational rehabilitation, social withdraw and concern and care about others.

Background Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)is the leading global cause of respiratory infections and is responsible for about 3 million hospitalizations and more than 100,000 deaths annually in children younger than 5 years,representing a major global healthcare *** is a great unmet need for new agents and universal strategies to prevent RSV infections in early life.A multidisciplinary consensus development group comprising experts in epidemiology,infectious diseases,respiratory medicine,and methodology aims to develop the current consensus to address clinical issues of RSV infections in *** sources The evidence searches and reviews were conducted using electronic databases,including PubMed,Embase,Web of science,and the Cochrane library,using variations in terms for"respiratory syncytial virus","RSV","lower respiratory tract infection","bronchiolitis","acute","viral pneumonia","neonatal","infant""children",and"pediatric".Results Evidence-based recommendations regarding diagnosis,treatment,and prevention were proposed with a high degree of *** supportive care remains the cornerstone for the management of RSV infections,new monoclonal antibodies,vaccines,drug therapies,and viral surveillance techniques are being rolled *** This consensus,based on international and national scientific evidence,reinforces the current recommendations and integrates the recent advances for optimal care and prevention of RSV *** improvements in the management of RSV infections will require generating the highest quality of evidence through rigorously designed studies that possess little bias and sufficient capacity to identify clinically meaningful end points.

Study on Two Categories of Sudden Stratospheric Warming

Invoking 45-yr daily European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts （ECMWF） reanalysis data, firstly all the sudden stratospheric warming （SSW） events are selected in these years, which can be classified into two categories： downward-propagating event and non-downward-propagating event. And then, based on potential vorticity distribution on isentropic surfaces （IPV）, temperature field, and zonal wind field, a detailed description of the SSW occurring during the winter-spring （December and the following January, February, March） in 2000-01 and 2001-02 is given. Finally, the evolvement of polar vortex during warming process and the impact of warming on troposphere are discussed. It is found that （1） there is inter-decadal variation for stratospheric warming phenomenon; （2） the SSW event lasting from late January till early March in 2001 can propagate downward to troposphere; （3） during this SSW, there is zonal-mean easterly winds in both stratosphere and troposphere; （4） the two warming events during December 2001 and March 2002 cannot propagate downward to troposphere, while zonal easterly winds only appear in stratosphere; and （5） in the process of the two types of warming, a long and narrow high-value IPV “tongue” extends out from main polar vortex, which breaks out the gradient of IPV. Compared with the non-downward-propagating stratospheric warming case, the highest value of IPV departs farther from pole and the “tongue” is longer and narrower during the downward-propagating warming event. Pinched by anticyclone from middle latitude, the stratospheric polar vortex will displace, distort or breakdown. By contrast, the change of polar vortex is greater in the course of downward-propagating warming event. Also, troposphere circulation and polar vortex evolve in different degree, and usually both of them go with blocking, but the above evolvement in the downward-propagating warming is more distinct.

Combining application research using social network analysis, the opinion leadership could be identified through the analysis of online public opinion structure. The case study of public opinion about college student employment is based on the measurement of the degree centrality, core-periphery and influence coefficient. The online opinion leadership that explored by the combination of social network analysis and content analysis should be the focus of monitoring public opinion.

This meta-analysis compared the therapeutic effect of cable pin system（CPS） with K-wire tension band（KTB） in the treatment of patella fractures among Chinese Han population. The databases of PubM ed, Cochrane library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI）, Chinese Wan Fang and Chinese VIP were searched for studies on CPS versus KTB in the treatment of patella fractures among Chinese Han population. Literatures were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The quality of the studies was assessed, and meta-analysis was performed using the Cochrane Collaboration＇s REVMAN 5.3 software. A total of 932 patients from 15 studies were included in this meta-analysis（426 fractures treated with CPS and 506 fractures treated with KTB）. There were significant differences in duration of hospital stay [mean difference（MD）=–1.07; 95% confidence interval（CI）： –1.71 to –0.43], fracture healing time（MD=–1.23; 95% CI： –1.68 to –0.77）, flexion degree of knee joint at 6 th month after operation（MD=14.82; 95% CI： 10.93 to 18.71）, incidence of postoperative complication [risk ratio（RR）=0.16; 95% CI： 0.09 to 0.27] and excellent-good rate of B？stman score（RR=1.09; 95% CI： 1.03 to 1.16） between the CPS group and KTB group, while no significant difference was found in operative time between the two groups（MD=–4.52; 95% CI： –11.70 to 2.67）. For the treatment of patella fractures among Chinese Han population, limited evidence suggests that the CPS is more suitable than the KTB when considering the hospital stay, fracture healing time, flexion degree of knee at 6 th month after operation, incidence of postoperative complication and excellent-good rate of B？stman joint score. Due to the limitation of high quality evidence and sample size, more large-scale randomized controlled trials are needed to validate the findings in the future.

In light of the ecological health problem occurring between the plain river reach between Daheiting and the estuary of the Luanhe River, three first-level indicators （river physical characteristic, eco-hydrological characteristic and socio-economic features） and corresponding fifteen second-level indicators such as river natural connectivity, water quantity, etc., were employed to establish the analysis hierarchy process （AHP） model. After fitting the AHP model with the data of 2005, the results show that the overall plain river reach health assessment score is 0.698 and the ecology is basically healthy. Moreover, construction of the Panjiakou Reservoir on the river mainstream destroyed the river natural morphologies, and finally contributed to the relatively low scores： 0 and 0.5 for river natural connectivity and river curve degree, respectively. It implicates that measures such as construction of ecological river course and reservoir dispatching should be taken into account in further restoration projects of the Luanhe River.
