Water pollution caused by global population growth,urban expansion and industrialization development is one of the urgent issues that need to be addressed in the 21st *** to now,it was challenging for metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)to be used in the actual water treatment due to that the powder MOFs suffered from difficult reuse,poor water stability and easy *** is an effective strategy to immobilize MOFs powder onto porous sponge foam carriers for accomplishing large flux,facile recycling,easy processing water treatment *** this review article,the fabrication approaches and applications of different MOFs/sponge composites were highlighted,in which the fluorescence detection of pollutants,adsorption and separation of pollutants,catalytic reduction and oxidation of pollutants were ***,the future challenges and opportunities of MOF/sponge for water treatment are proposed,aiming to provide in-depth guidance for the future design and manufacture of the immobilized MOFs onto sponge foams.

Titanium alloys are excellent structural materials in engineering fields,but their poor tribological properties limit their further *** plating is an effective method to enhance the tribological performance of alloys,but it is difficult to efficiently apply to titanium alloys,due to titanium alloy’s strong chemical *** this work,the electroless Nickel-Boron(Ni-B)coating was successfully deposited on the surface of titanium alloy(Ti-6AL-4V)via a new pre-treatment ***,linearly reciprocating sliding wear tests were performed to evaluate the tribological behaviors of titanium alloy and its electroless Ni-B *** was found that the Ni-B coatings can decrease the wear rate of the titanium alloy from 19.89×10^(−3)mm^(3)to 0.41×10^(−3)mm^(3),which attributes to the much higher hardness of Ni-B *** heat treatment,the hardness of Ni-B coating further increases corresponding to coating crystallization and hard phase ***,heat treatment does not improve the tribological performance of Ni-B coating,due to the fact that higher brittleness and more severe oxidative wear exacerbate the damage of heat-treated ***,the Ni-B coatings heat-treated both in air and nitrogen almost present the same tribological *** finding of this work on electroless coating would further extend the practical applications of titanium alloys in the engineering fields.

Water washing has been regarded as one of the most effective strategies to remove surface residual lithium of nickel-rich layered oxides for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the loss of lattice lithium during the water washing process deteriorates the electrochemical performances and air ***,washing the LiNi_(0.90)Co_(0.05)Al_(0.02)O_(2)(NCA) with ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4)) solution has been proposed to simultaneously enhance electrochemical performances and air stability,in which in-situ generated Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer on surface of NCA can suppress the loss of lattice ***,as a fast ionic conductor,Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer on NCA can prevent the direct contact with electrolyte/*** a result,the NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4) solution washed NCA cathode can deliver a high capacity of131.9 mAh·g^(-1) at 10.0C rate as well as impressive cycle stability with a capacity retention of 83.1% after 100 cycles at 1.0C,much higher than those of water washed NCA(WS-NCA) *** exposed in air for 7 days,the NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4) solution washed NCA electrode can more effectively maintain the structural integrity as well as the electrochemical performances than water-washed *** work provides a simple and effective approach to enhance the cycle stability and air stability of Nickel-rich cathode materials.

Conductive hydrogels have attracted extensive attention owing to their promising application prospects in flexible and wearable ***,achieving both high sensitivity and mechanical robustness remains ***,a novel and versatile conductive hydrogel based on the hybrid assem-bly of conductive cellulose nanofiber(CNF)networks has been designed and *** by the templating effect of CNFs and stabilizing effect of negatively charged poly(styrene sulfonate)(PSS),conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)was self-organized into three-dimensional nanostructures which constructed a robust conductive network after in-situ oxidative *** unique structure derived from CNF bio-template endowed polyacrylamide(PAM)hydrogels with improved electrical conductivity and excellent mechanical *** a result,the as-fabricated CNF/PEDOT:PSS/PAM hydrogel exhibited an ultimate tensile strain of 1881%and toughness of 3.72 MJ/m^(3),which were 4.07 and 8.27 times higher than the CNF-free hydrogel,*** significantly,the resultant hydrogel sensor showed highly desirable sensing properties,including remarkable sensing range(1100%),high gauge factor(GF=5.16),fast response time(185 ms),and commendable durability,as well as good ***,the hydrogel sensor was able to distinguish subtle physiological activities including phonation and facial expression,and monitor large human body motions such as finger flexion and elbow ***,it was feasible to integrate the strain sensor on the joints of robots to recognize complicated machine motion signals,showing potential in advanced human-machine interactions.

The effects of V on microstructure,room temperature,and high-temperature(350℃)mechanical properties of Al-5Cu-1.5Ni alloy were *** results show that Al-5Cu-1.5Ni-xV alloys mainly compriseα-Al,Al_(2)Cu,Al_(3)(Ni,Cu)_(2),Al_(3)Ni,Al7Cu4Ni,and Al_(10)V *** addition of V can signally refineα-Al dendritic structure,which improves the mechanical properties of the as-cast alloys at room and high *** T6 heat treatment(540℃/12 h/WC+170℃/8 h/AC),α-Al,network skeleton structure Al_(3)(Ni,Cu)_(2),and Al_(10)V phases all show coarsening,while the fine nano-θ'-Al_(2)Cu precipitated from the matrix and dispersed *** introduction of V promotes the quantity of precipitatedθ'-Al_(2)Cu *** ultimate tensile strength of the heat-treated alloys at room and high temperatures is greatly improved compared to that of the as-cast *** highest high-temperature ultimate tensile strength of the alloys with V is 111.8 MPa,21.5%higher than that of the base *** analysis shows that the improvement of high-temperature mechanical properties after heat treatment is mainly due to the introduction of V,increasing the precipitated quantity of nano-θ'-Al_(2)Cu particles and improving its thermal *** dispersion strengthening effect ofθ'-Al_(2)Cu particles exceeds the weakening effect of other adverse microstructures on the mechanical properties.

Conventional thermosetting polymers, mostly derived from nonrenewable petroleum resources, are not reprocessable and recyclable due to their highly cross-linked three-dimensional networks and face the disadvantage of high flammability. To solve these issues, in this study, we synthesized a novel Schiff base covalent adaptable thermoset from a furan-derived tri-aldehyde monomer(TMFP) and a furan-derived di-amine monomer(DFDA).The as-prepared TMFP-DFDA-Vitrimer exhibited superior anti-flammability with a high limiting oxygen index(LOI) of 35.0% and a UL-94 V-0 rating, which was attributed to the excellent charring ability. Additionally, TMFPDFDA-Vitrimer could also be conveniently recycled by chemical decomposition under a mixed hydrochloric acid/tetrahydrofuran(HCl/THF) solution. After recycling for 5 times, the thermal, mechanical, and flame retardant properties of the recycled TMFP-DFDA-Vitrimer retained almost unchanged compared to the original one. This work provides a prime instance to develop advanced thermosetting polymers from abundant furan-based compounds.

Magnetic reconnection processes in three-dimensional(3D)complex field configurations have been investigated in different magneto-plasma systems in space,laboratory,and astrophysical ***-dimensional(2D)features of magnetic reconnection have been well developed and applied successfully to systems with symmetrical property,such as toroidal fusion plasmas and laboratory experiments with an axial *** in asymmetric systems,the 3D features are inevitably different from those in the 2D *** reconnection structures in multiple celestial body systems,particularly star-planet-Moon systems,bring fresh insights to the understanding of the 3D geometry of ***,we take magnetic reconnection in an ancient solar-lunar terrestrial magneto-plasma system as an example by using its crucial parameters approximately estimated already and also some specific applications in pathways for energy and matter transports among Earth,ancient Moon,and the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF).Then,magnetic reconnection of the ancient lunar-terrestrial magnetospheres with the IMF is investigated numerically in this *** a 3D simulation for the Earth-Moon-IMF system,topological features of complex magnetic reconnection configurations and dynamical characteristics of magnetic reconnection processes are *** is found that a coupled lunar-terrestrial magnetosphere is formed,and under various IMF orientations,multiple X-points emerge at distinct locations,showing three typical magnetic reconnection structures in such a geometry,i.e.,the X-line,the triple current sheets,and the A-B null *** results can conduce to further understanding of reconnection physics in 3D for plasmas in complex magnetic configurations,and also a possible mechanism for energy and matters transport in evolutions of similar astrophysical systems.

Realizing efficient emission and triple-mode photoluminescence switching in air-stable tin(IV)-based metal halides via antimony doping and rational structural modulation

Recently,many lead-free metal halides with diverse structures and highly efficient emission have been ***,their poor stability and single-mode emission color severely limit their ***,three homologous Sb^(3+)-doped zero-dimensional(0D)air-stable Sn(IV)-based metal halides with different crystal structures were developed by inserting a single organic ligand into SnCl_(4)lattice,which brings different optical *** photoexcitation,(C_(25)H_(22)P)SnC_(l5)@Sb⋅CH_(4O)(Sb^(3+)−1)does not emit light,(C_(25)H_(22)P)_(2)SnC_(l6)@Sb-α(Sb^(3+)−2α)shines bright yellow emission with a photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 92%,and(C_(25)H_(22)P)_(2)SnC_(l6)@Sb-β(Sb^(3+)−2β)exhibits intense red emission with a PLQY of 78%.The above three compounds show quite different optical properties should be due to their different crystal structures and the lattice ***,Sb^(3+)−1 can be successfully converted into Sb^(3+)−2αunder the treatment of C_(25)H_(22)PCl solution,accompanied by a transition from nonemission to efficient yellow emission,serving as a“turn-on”photoluminescence(PL)***,a reversible structure conversion between Sb^(3+)−2αand Sb^(3+)−2βwas witnessed after dichloromethane or volatilization treatment,accompanied by yellow and red emission ***,a triple-mode tunable PL switching of off-onI-onII can be constructed in Sb^(3+)-doped Sn(IV)-based ***,we demonstrated the as-synthesized compounds in fluorescent anticounterfeiting,information encryption,and optical logic gates.

Construction of core@double-shell structured energetic composites with simultaneously enhanced thermal stability and safety performance

The poor thermal stability and high sensitivity severely hinder the practical application of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane(CL-20).Herein,a kind of novel core@double-shell CL-20 based energetic composites were fabricated to address the above *** coordination complexes which consist of natural polyphenol tannic acid(TA) and Fe~Ⅲ were chosen to construct the inner shell,while the graphene sheets were used to build the outer *** resulting CL-20/TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites exhibited simultaneously improved thermal stability and safety performance with only 1 wt% double-shell content,which should be ascribed to the intense physical encapsulation effect from inner shell combined with the desensitization effect of carbon nano-materials from outer *** phase transition(ε to γ) temperature increased from 173.70 ℃ of pure CL-20 to 191.87℃ of CL-20/TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene ***,the characteristic drop height(H_(50)) dramatically increased from 14.7 cm of pure CL-20 to112.8 cm of CL-20/TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites,indicating much superior safety performance after the construction of the double-shell *** general,this work has provided an effective and versatile strategy to conquer the thermal stability and safety issues of CL-20 and contributes to the future application of high energy density energetic materials.
