Obesity-related glomerulopathy(ORG)is an independent risk factor for chronic kid-ney disease and even progression to end-stage renal *** have been undertaken to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the development of ORG and substantial advances have been made in the treatment of ORG,but relatively little is known about cell-specific changes in gene *** define the transcriptomic landscape at single-cell resolution,we analyzed kidney samples from four patients with ORG and three obese control subjects without kidney disease using single-cell RNA *** report for the first time that immune cells,including T cells and B cells,are decreased in ORG *** analysis indicated that sPP1 was significantly up-regulated in T cells and B *** gene is related to inflammation and cell *** of differential gene expression in glomerular cells(endothelial cells,mesangial cells,and podocytes)showed that these cell types were mainly enriched in genes related to oxidative phosphorylation,cell adhesion,thermogenesis,and inflammatory pathways(PI3K-Akt signaling,MAPK signaling).Furthermore,we found that the podocytes of ORG patients were enriched in genes related to the fluid shear stress ***,an evaluation of cell-cell communications revealed that there were interactions between glomerular parietal epithelial cells and other cells in ORG patients,with major interactions between parietal epithelial cells and ***,our identification of molecular events,cell types,and differentially expressed genes may facilitate the development of new preventive or therapeutic approaches for ORG.

Effect of emotion management and nursing on patients with painless induced abortion after operation

BACKGROUND With an estimated 121 million abortions following unwanted pregnancies occurring worldwide each year,many countries are now committed to protecting women’s reproductive *** To analyze the impact of emotional management and care on anxiety and contraceptive knowledge mastery in painless induced abortion(IA)*** This study was retrospective analysis of 84 patients with IA at our *** to different nursing methods,the patients were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 42 cases in each *** of pain,rate of postoperative uterine relaxation,surgical bleeding volume,and postoperative bleeding volume at 1 h between the two groups of patients;nursing satisfaction;and mastery of contraceptive knowledge were *** After nursing,self-Assessment scale,Depression self-Assessment scale,and Hamilton Anxiety scale scores were 39.18±2.18,30.27±2.64,6.69±2.15,respectively,vs 45.63±2.66,38.61±2.17,13.45±2.12,respectively,with the observation group being lower than the control group(Psual analog scales,the observation group was lower than the control group(4.55±0.22 vs 3.23±0.41;Psing,surgical bleeding volume,and 1-h postoperative bleeding volumes were 25(59.5),31.72±2.23,and 22.41±1.23,respectively,vs 36(85.7),42.39±3.53,28.51±3.34,respec tively,for the observation group compared to the control *** observation group had a better nursing situation(Psing satisfaction and contraceptive knowledge mastery scores compared to the control group(PsION The application of emotional management in postoperative care of IA has an ideal effect.

The emerging of single-atom catalysts（sACs） offers a great opportunity for the development of advanced energy storage and conversion devices due to their excellent activity and durability, but the actual mass production of high-loading sACs is still challenging. Herein, a facile and green boron acid（H3BO3）-assisted pyrolysis strategy is put forward to synthesize sACs by only using chitosan, cobalt salt and H3BO3as precursor, and the effect of H3BO3is deeply investigated. The results show that molten boron oxide derived from H3BO3as ideal high-temperature carbonization media and blocking media play important role in the synthesis process. As a result, the acquired Co/N/B tri-doped porous carbon framework（Co–N–B–C） not only presents hierarchical porous structure, large specific surface area and abundant carbon edges but also possesses high-loading single Co atom（4.2 wt.%）, thus giving rise to outstanding oxygen catalytic performance. When employed as a catalyst for air cathode in Zn-air batteries, the resultant Co–N–B–C catalyst shows remarkable power density and long-term stability. Clearly, our work gains deep insight into the role of H3BO3and provides a new avenue to synthesis of high-performance sACs.

Metformin alleviates spinal cord injury by inhibiting nerve cell ferroptosis through upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 expression

Previous studies have reported upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 in different central nervous system injury *** oxygenase-1 plays a critical anti-inflammatory role and is essential for regulating cellular redox *** is a classic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes that can inhibit *** studies have shown that,when used to treat cardiovascular and digestive system diseases,metformin can also upregulate heme oxygenase-1 ***,we hypothesized that heme oxygenase-1 plays a significant role in mediating the beneficial effects of metformin on neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord *** test this,we first performed a bioinformatics analysis based on the GEO database and found that heme oxygenase-1 was upregulated in the lesion of rats with spinal cord ***,we confirmed this finding in a rat model of T9 spinal cord compression injury that exhibited spinal cord nerve cell *** intraperitoneal injection of metformin for 14 days was found to both upregulate heme oxygenase-1 expression and reduce neuronal ferroptosis in rats with spinal cord ***,we used a lentivirus vector to knock down heme oxygenase-1 expression in the spinal cord,and found that this significantly reduced the effect of metformin on ferroptosis after spinal cord *** together,these findings suggest that metformin inhibits neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord injury,and that this effect is partially dependent on upregulation of heme oxygenase-1.

The healthcare sector holds valuable and sensitive *** amount of this data and the need to handle,exchange,and protect it,has been increasing at a fast *** to their nature,software-defined networks(sDNs)are widely used in healthcare systems,as they ensure effective resource utilization,safety,great network management,and *** this sector,due to the value of thedata,sDNs faceamajor challengeposed byawide range of attacks,such as distributed denial of service(DDos)and probe *** attacks reduce network performance,causing the degradation of different key performance indicators(KPIs)or,in the worst cases,a network failure which can threaten human *** can be significant,especially with the current expansion of portable healthcare that supports mobile and wireless devices for what is called mobile health,or *** this study,we examine the effectiveness of using sDNs for defense against DDos,as well as their effects on different network KPIs under various *** propose a threshold-based DDos classifier(TBDC)technique to classify DDos attacks in healthcare sDNs,aiming to block traffic considered a hazard in the form of a DDos *** then evaluate the accuracy and performance of the proposed TBDC *** technique shows outstanding performance,increasing the mean throughput by 190.3%,reducing the mean delay by 95%,and reducing packet loss by 99.7%relative to normal,with DDos attack traffic.

The extremely poor prognosis of patients is largely due to hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)/MET signaling,which promotes migration and invasion of glioblastoma(IDH wildtype;GBM;WHO grade 4).1,2 Clinical trials targeting MET,the only receptor of HGF,have yielded unimpressive results in GBM.3,4 Here we found that HGF induced strong chemotaxis on GBM cells,but MET expression was extremely ***,therefore,used single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)coupled with label-free proteome profiling to identify membrane proteins associated with HGF/MET signaling amplification in GBM and to provide a novel modulator,MPZL1,for HGF/MET-targeted therapy.

Perceived stress among staff in saudi Arabian dental colleges before and after an accreditation process: A cross-sectional study

BACKGROUND Accreditation processes are extensively employed to guarantee the quality of higher education ***,this process can potentially generate a stressful atmosphere for staff,thus impacting their ability to perform optimally under *** To examine the knowledge of the National Commission for Academic Assessment and Accreditation(NCAAA)and its effects on perceived stress among dental college staff before and after the program accreditation *** The present cross-sectional questionnaire-based study included 300 employees from three dental *** same employees had to fill out the questionnaire 1 mo after the NCAAA *** Approximately 51.33%of the included employees believed that NCAAA is essential to attract quality students to join the program before and after the program.A total of 44.67%felt that their stress was high before,and 31.33%had low stress levels before and after *** findings were statistically significant(P≤0.05).CONCLUsION NCAAA raised the prestige of the institution and specific programmes and increased prospects to attract better students,staff,and money,according to the *** addition to their needed teaching,research,and other service responsibilities,this work requires a tremendous amount of faculty effort and may cause them stress.

The precise and automatic segmentation of prostate magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)images is vital for assisting doctors in diagnosing prostate *** recent years,many advanced methods have been applied to prostate segmentation,but due to the variability caused by prostate diseases,automatic segmentation of the prostate presents significant *** this paper,we propose an attention-guided multi-scale feature fusion network(AGMsF-Net)to segment prostate MRI *** propose an attention mechanism for extracting multi-scale features,and introduce a 3D transformer module to enhance global feature representation by adding it during the transition phase from encoder to *** the decoder stage,a feature fusion module is proposed to obtain global context *** evaluate our model on MRI images of the prostate acquired from a local *** relative volume difference(RVD)and dice similarity coefficient(DsC)between the results of automatic prostate segmentation and ground truth were 1.21%and 93.68%,*** quantitatively evaluate prostate volume on MRI,which is of significant clinical significance,we propose a unique *** essential performance evaluation and validation experiments have demonstrated the effectiveness of our method in automatic prostate segmentation.
