Coded aperture snapshot spectral imaging(CASSI) has been discussed in recent years. It has the remarkable advantages of high optical throughput, snapshot imaging, etc. The entire spatial-spectral data-cube can be reconstructed with just a single two-dimensional(2D) compressive sensing measurement. On the other hand, for less spectrally sparse scenes,the insufficiency of sparse sampling and aliasing in spatial-spectral images reduce the accuracy of reconstructed threedimensional(3D) spectral cube. To solve this problem, this paper extends the improved CASSI. A band-pass filter array is mounted on the coded mask, and then the first image plane is divided into some continuous spectral sub-band areas. The entire 3D spectral cube could be captured by the relative movement between the object and the instrument. The principle analysis and imaging simulation are presented. Compared with peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) and the information entropy of the reconstructed images at different numbers of spectral sub-band areas, the reconstructed 3D spectral cube reveals an observable improvement in the reconstruction fidelity, with an increase in the number of the sub-bands and a simultaneous decrease in the number of spectral channels of each sub-band.

The dark signal degradation of the CMOS image sensor(CIS) was induced by neutron radiation,and it was modeled by Geant4, which is a three-dimensional Monte Carlo code. The simplified model of the CIS array was established according to the actual pixel geometry, material, and doping concentration. Nuclear elastic interaction and capture interaction were included in the physical processes, and the displacement damage dose in the space charge region of the pixel was calculated. The mean dark signal and dark signal distribution were modeled using Geant4, and the physical mechanisms were analyzed. The modeling results were in good agreement with the experimental and theoretical results.

Dynamic sign language recognition holds significant importance, particularly with the application of deep learning to address its complexity. However, existing methods face several challenges. Firstly, recognizing dynamic sign language requires identifying keyframes that best represent the signs, and missing these keyframes reduces accuracy. Secondly, some methods do not focus enough on hand regions, which are small within the overall frame, leading to information loss. To address these challenges, we propose a novel Video Transformer Attention-based Network (VTAN) for dynamic sign language recognition. Our approach prioritizes informative frames and hand regions effectively. To tackle the first issue, we designed a keyframe extraction module enhanced by a convolutional autoencoder, which focuses on selecting information-rich frames and eliminating redundant ones from the video sequences. For the second issue, we developed a soft attention-based transformer module that emphasizes extracting features from hand regions, ensuring that the network pays more attention to hand information within sequences. This dual-focus approach improves effective dynamic sign language recognition by addressing the key challenges of identifying critical frames and emphasizing hand regions. Experimental results on two public benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our network, outperforming most of the typical methods in sign language recognition tasks.

This paper is concerned with the optimal fusion of sensors with cross-correlated sensor *** taking linear transformations to the measurements and the related parameters, new measurement models are established, where the sensor noises are decoupled. The centralized fusion with raw data, the centralized fusion with transformed data, and a distributed fusion estimation algorithm are introduced, which are shown to be equivalent to each other in estimation precision, and therefore are globally optimal in the sense of linear minimum mean square error(LMMSE). It is shown that the centralized fusion with transformed data needs lower communication requirements compared to the centralized fusion using raw data directly, and the distributed fusion algorithm has the best flexibility and robustness and proper communication requirements and computation complexity among the three algorithms(less communication and computation complexity compared to the existed distributed Kalman filtering fusion algorithms). An example is shown to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

We present an overview on the recent progress achieved on the controllable growth of diverse GeSi al- loy nanostructures by molecular beam epitaxy. Prevailing theories for controlled growth of Ge nanostructures on patterned as well as inclined Si surfaces are outlined firstly, followed by reviews on the preferential growth of Ge nanoislands on patterned Si substrates, Ge nanowires and high density nanoislands grown on inclined Si surfaces, and the readily tunable Ge nanostructures on Si nanopillars. Ge nanostructures with controlled geometries, spatial distributions and densities, including two-dimensional ordered nanoislands, three-dimensional ordered quantum dot crystals, ordered nanorings, coupled quantum dot molecules, ordered nanowires and nanopillar alloys, are dis- cussed in detail. A single Ge quantum dot-photonic crystal microcavity coupled optical emission device demon- stration fabricated by using the preferentially grown Ge nanoisland technique is also introduced. Finally, we sum- marize the current technology status with a look at the future development trends and application challenges for controllable growth of Ge nanostructures.

Warehouse operation has become a critical activity in supply chain. Position information of pallets is important in warehouse management which can enhance the efficiency of pallets picking and sortation. Radio frequency identification(RFID) has been widely used in warehouse for item identifying. Meanwhile, RFID technology also has great potential for pallets localization which is underutilized in warehouse management. RFID-based checking-in and inventory systems have been applied in warehouse management by many enterprises. Localization approach is studied, which is compatible with existing RFID checking-in and inventory systems. A novel RFID localization approach is proposed for pallets checking-in. Phase variation of nearby tags was utilized to estimate the position of added pallets. A novel inventory localization approach combing angle of arrival(AOA) measurement and received signal strength(RSS) is also proposed for pallets inventory. Experiments were carried out using standard UHF passive RFID system. Experimental results show an acceptable localization accuracy which can satisfy the requirement of warehouse management.
