The technology of three-dimensional(3D)printing emerged in the late 1970s and has since undergone considerable development to find numerous applications in mechanical engineering,industrial design,and *** biomedical science,several studies have initially found that 3D printing technology can play an important role in the treatment of diseases in hepatopancreatobiliary *** example,3D printing technology has been applied to create detailed anatomical models of disease organs for preoperative personalized surgical strategies,surgical simulation,intraoperative navigation,medical training,and patient ***,cancer models have been created using 3D printing technology for the research and selection of chemotherapy *** the aim to clarify the development and application of 3D printing technology in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery,we introduce seven common types of 3D printing technology and review the status of research and application of 3D printing technology in the field of hepatopancreatobiliary surgery.

tRNA-derived small RNAs(tsRNAs)are novel non-coding RNAs that are involved in the occurrence and progression of diverse ***,their exact presence and function in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain ***,differentially expressed tsRNAs in HCC were profiled.A novel tsRNA,tRNAGln-TTG derived 5′-tiRNA-Gln,is significantly downregulated,and its expression level is correlated with progression in *** HCC cells,5′-tiRNA-Gln overexpression impaired the proliferation,migration,and invasion in vitro and in vivo,while 5′-tiRNA-Gln knockdown yielded opposite results.5′-tiRNA-Gln exerted its function by binding eukaryotic initiation factor 4A-I(EIF4A1),which unwinds complex RNA secondary structures during translation initiation,causing the partial inhibition of *** suppressed downregulated proteins include ARAF,MEK1/2 and STAT3,causing the impaired signaling pathway related to HCC ***,based on the construction of a mutant 5′-tiRNA-Gln,the sequence of forming intramolecular G-quadruplex structure is crucial for 5′-tiRNA-Gln to strongly bind EIF4A1 and repress ***,5′-tiRNA-Gln expression level is negatively correlated with ARAF,MEK1/2,and STAT3 in HCC ***,these findings reveal that 5′-tiRNA-Gln interacts with EIF4A1 to reduce related mRNA binding through the intramolecular Gquadruplex structure,and this process partially inhibits translation and HCC progression.

Advances in epigenetic biomarker research in colorectal cancer

Colorectal cancer(CRC)causes approximately 600000deaths annually and is the third leading cause of cancer mortality *** significant advancements in treatment options,CRC patient survival is still poor owing to a lack of effective tools for early diagnosis and a limited capacity for optimal therapeutic decision *** there exists a need to find new biomarkers to improve diagnosis of CRC,the research on epigenetic biomarkers for molecular diagnostics encourages the translation of this field from the bench to clinical *** alterations are thought to hold great promise as tumor *** this review,we will primarily focus on recent advances in the study of epigenetic biomarkers for colorectal cancer and discuss epigenetic biomarkers,including DNA methylation,microRNA expression and histone modification,in cancer tissue,stool,plasma,serum,cell lines and *** studies have improved the chances that epigenetic biomarkers will find a place in the clinical practices of screening,early diagnosis,prognosis,therapy choice and recurrence surveillance for CRC ***,these studies have typically been small in size,and evaluation at a larger scale of well-controlled randomized clinical trials is the next step that is necessary to increase the quality of epigenetic biomarkers and ensure their widespread clinical use.

Epidemiological evidence suggests that patients with hypertension infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)are at increased risk of acute lung ***,it is still not clear whether this increased risk is related to the usage of renin-angiotensin system(RAS)*** collected medical records of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients from the First Affiliated Hospital,zhejiang University School of Medicine(Hangzhou,China),and evaluated the potential impact of an angiotensin II receptor blocker(ARB)on the clinical outcomes of COVID-19 patients with hypertension.A total of 30 hypertensive COVID-19 patients were enrolled,of which 17 were classified as non-ARB group and the remaining 13 as ARB group based on the antihypertensive therapies they *** with the non-ARB group,patients in the ARB group had a lower proportion of severe cases and intensive care unit(ICU)admission as well as shortened length of hospital stay,and manifested favorable results in most of the laboratory *** loads in the ARB group were lower than those in the non-ARB group throughout the disease *** significant difference in the time of seroconversion or antibody levels was observed between the two *** median levels of soluble angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(sACE2)in serum and urine samples were similar in both groups,and there were no significant correlations between serum sACE2 and biomarkers of disease *** analysis showed 125 differentially expressed genes which mainly were enriched in oxygen transport,bicarbonate transport,and blood *** results suggest that ARB usage is not associated with aggravation of *** findings support the maintenance of ARB treatment in hypertensive patients diagnosed with COVID-19.

Severe endometrium damage causes pathological conditions such as thin endometrium and intrauterine adhesion,resulting in uterine factor *** stem cell(MSC)therapy is a promising strategy in endometrial repair;yet,exogenous MSCs still raise concerns for safety and ethical *** adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells(ADMSCs)residing in adipose tissue have high translational potentials due to their autologous *** harness the high translation potentials of ADMSC in clinical endometrium regeneration,here we constructed an ADMSCs composited porous scaffold(CS/ADMSC)and evaluated its effectiveness on endometrial regeneration in a rat endometrium-injury *** found that CS/ADMSC intrauterine implantation(i)promoted endometrial thickness and gland number,(ii)enhanced tissue angiogenesis,(iii)reduced fibrosis and(iv)restored *** ascertained the pro-proliferation,pro-angiogenesis,immunomodulating and anti-fibrotic effects of CS/ADMSC in vitro and revealed that the CS/ADMSC influenced extracellular matrix composition and organization by a transcriptomic *** results demonstrated the effectiveness of CS/ADMSC for endometrial regeneration and provided solid proof for our future clinical study.
