Dear Editor,Microcalcifications(MCs)are common findings in mammography and can be indicative of different degrees of malignancy,thus requiring multiple stereotaxis vacuumassisted biopsies under mammography to identify and characterize breast cancer[1,2].In many cases,however,the presence of MCs is not associated with the presence of a ***,a better understanding of the physical-chemical properties of MCs is needed to assess the relationship between their presence and breast cancer.

Background Aging is a multifactorial process associated with an impairment of autonomic nervous system(ANS)*** ANS remodeling includes upregulation of expression of circulating catecholamines and depletion of cardiac autonomic nerve fibers,and it is responsible,in part,for the increased susceptibility to cardiac diseases observed in elderly *** factors,such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)and nerve growth factor(NGF),are involved in synaptogenesis and neurite outgrowth processes,supporting neuronal cell differentiation and ***,whether and how these factors and their downstream signaling are involved in cardiac aging remains ***,we tested whether,in the aged heart,the overall extent of autonomic fibers is reduced,owing to lower production of trophic factors such as BDNF and *** In vivo,we used young(age:3 months;n=10)and old(age:24 months;n=11)male Fisher rats,whereas,we used human neuroblastoma(SH-SY5 Y)cells in *** Compared to the young rats,old rats displayed a marked reduction in the overall ANS fiber density,affecting both sympathetic and cholinergic compartments,as indicated by dopamineβ-hydroxylase(dβh)and vesicular acetylcholine transporter(Va Ch T)immunohistochemical *** addition,a marked downregulation of GAP-43 and BDNF protein was observed in the left ventricular lysates of old rats compared to those of young ***,we did not find any significant difference in cardiac NGF levels between the young and old *** further explore the impact of aging on ANS fibers,we treated SH-SY5 Y cells in vitro with serum obtained from young and old *** from both groups induced a remarkable increase in neuronal sprouting,as evidenced by a crystal violet ***,this effect was blunted in cells cultured with old rat serum and was accompanied by a marked reduction in GAP-43 and BDNF protein *** Our data indicate that physiological aging i

Cardiac primary tumors are uncommon with an estimated prevalence between 0.17%and 0.19%.[1,2]Cardiac lipoma are extremely rare representing only 10%?19%of primary cardiac tumors and only few are symptomatic,depending on their location within the heart.[3,4]They originate from the subendocardium(50%),subepicardium(25%)or myocardium(25%)and with different sizes and locations.[5]Few cases of sudden death due to primary cardiac tumors are reported in literature(0.0025%);in these cases,conductive and haemodinamic abnormalities have been indicated as the cause of death.

We aim to describe the most recent advances in the upfront treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma,and to provide criteria-though often subjective-which could be used for treatment selection,by means of a critical review of the results of novel trials of immune-based combinations,coupled with personal considerations and *** date,5 immune-based combinations have been tested within large phase III trials;four of them yielded a significant overall survival benefit(Ipilimumab+Nivolumab,Pembrolizumab+Axitinib,Nivolumab+Cabozantinib and Pembrolizumab+Lenvatinib),while the combination of Avelumab+Axitinib,although reaching study primary endpoint,determined just a significant progression-free survival *** terms of safety,the excess of adverse events is overall counterbalanced to the higher activity of the ***,all the discussed immune-based combinations were ultimately approved by different regulatory authorities,and are indeed included in the most important international *** for longer follow-ups and more mature trial data,as well as for real-world experiences,in the absence of validated biomarkers,our 1st line treatment choice cannot but rely on methodologically incorrect treatment comparisons,personal preferences,and experience.
