Communities play a crucial role in protecting the health of vulnerable populations such as the elderly,low-income groups,and high-risk individuals during cold ***,current strategies for responding to cold spells primarily consist of programmatic policies that lack practicality,specificity,and detailed implementation guidelines for community ***,this study aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced by communities in responding to cold spells,review international experiences,and develop a set of practical checklists for community-level health *** checklists will assist community workers and volunteers in effectively preparing for,responding to,and recovering from cold spells.

This study develops a structural vector autoregression(SVAR)framework to empirically examine the reciprocal transmission channels of monetary policies between China and the United *** primary objective is to discern potential disparities in the spillover effects of monetary policies and ascertain any contrasting mechanisms underlying these effects across the two *** on our research,it appears that there exists a certain level of non-symmetry in the spillover effects of monetary policy between the two ***,this paper provides adequate analysis of disparities in the trade framework,capital control,and financial market operations of both countries in constructing a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium(DSGE)model that incorporates financial frictions for the examination of the theoretical *** empirical findings indicate that China’s monetary policy creates a spillover effect primarily through *** China,following an increase in its interest rates,the domestic economic activity will experience a contraction,leading to a decline in both investment and ***,this will result in a decrease in China’s imports of investment goods from the United States,impacting the output of the US *** contrast,the US monetary policy exerts a spillover effect primarily through *** increase in interest rates by the United States is associated with a notable outflow of capital from *** leads to a rise in the financing costs for Chinese firms,consequently diminishing their overall net *** light of the financial accelerator effect,corporate external financing risk premium will continue to increase,exacerbating the downward trajectory of China’s output.

Low-carbon regulation and market competition present new opportunities and challenges for supply chain firms,emphasizing the significance of carbon reduction and channel encroachment in enhancing *** study formulates various game models to evaluate manufacturers’encroachment strategies(with or without encroachment)under different conditions of low-carbon investment by *** investigates the operational decisions and carbon abatement strategies of firms under various *** findings reveal that encroachment elevates unit abatement levels but decreases wholesale prices and retailer profits when unit encroachment costs are below certain *** contrast,the manufacturer consistently benefits from channel ***-initiated low-carbon investments can motivate manufacturers to reduce emissions.A lower carbon price potentially offers financial advantages to retailer engaging in such ***,the likelihood of reduced environmental damage postchannel encroachment,compared to preprofessional encroachment,increases when the retailer invests in low-carbon *** retailer’s profit is inversely related to the carbon price,and a higher carbon price can strengthen the incentive effect of low-carbon investment on the manufacturer’s abatement endeavors.

China’s growing trade with countries along the“Belt and Road”Initiative is accompanied by a focus on green *** on the panel data from 2007 to 2018,this paper establishes a threshold regression model to empirically analyze the institutional quality threshold effect of China’s foreign trade technology spillover on the GTFP of countries along the“Belt and Road.”The results show that China’s foreign trade technology spillover has a significant institutional quality double threshold effect on the green total factor productivity of the countries along the“Belt and Road.”As the institutional quality of the countries along the“Belt and Road”crosses a specific threshold value,the impact of China’s foreign trade technology spillover on the green total factor productivity of the countries along the“Belt and Road”has a significant positive promoting effect,and corresponding suggestions are put forward.

Purpose:This study investigated the publication behaviour of 573 chief editors managing 432 Social Sciences journals in *** inquiries into editorial qualifications are rare,and this research aims to shed light on editors’scientific leadership ***/methodology/approach:This study contrasts insider publication behaviour in national journals with international articles in journals indexed by the Web of Science(WOS)and *** argues that editors demonstrating a consistent ability to publish in competitive WOS and Scopus indexed journals signal high qualifications,while editors with persistent insider behaviour and strong local orientation signal low *** leadership capability is measured by first-authored *** and various regression tests are conducted to identify significant determinants of publication ***:international publications are rare and concentrated on a few individuals,while insider publications are endemic and constitute nearly 40%of all national *** publish 3.2 insider papers and 8.1 national papers for every SSCI article.62%(58%)of the editors have no SSCI(Scopus)article,53%(63%)do not have a single lead-authored WOS(Scopus)article,and 89%publish at least one insider *** a minority consistently publish in international journals;a fifth of the editors have three or more SSCI publications,and a quarter have three or more Scopus *** with foreign *** are the most qualified and internationally oriented,whereas non-mobile editors are the most underqualified and underperform other editors by every *** the overall lack of qualification,nearly half of the professor editors and the majority of the WOS and Scopus indexed journal editors have no record of SSCI or Scopus *** limitations:This research relies on local settings that encourage national publications at the expense of international *** s

Grassroots-level government’s financial capability is crucial to the performance of financial functions of the whole *** to adjust the intergovernmental vertical fiscal relations in order to improve grassroots-level government’s finance situation is important for accelerating the establishment of a modern fiscal *** recent years,Province-Directly-Governing-County(PGC)fiscal reform has been an important attempt to straighten out vertical fiscal relations between governments,and thus has made it possible for studying the effects of vertical fiscal relations reform on grassroots-level government’s finance based on quasi-natural experimental ***,this article empirically analyzes the PGC fiscal reform based on nationwide county-level data applying Propensity Score Matching with Difference-in-Difference Method(PSM-DID),in order to investigate the effect of the reform on county governments’disposable revenue and identify the influence *** results indicate that PGC fiscal reform has a significant effect on promoting fiscal disposable revenue of county ***,we find that the reform increased upper-government transfer payment more than county-level own revenue,which manifests the reform increase county governments’fiscal disposable revenue by means of restraining prefecture-level cities’from grabbing county-level transfer.

After the decoupling of the US dollar from gold in 1971,US Treasuries replaced gold as the value benchmark of the international monetary system and acquired an exorbitant ***,the total amount of US debt exhibited an exponential expansion trend,unbound by any substantial *** so-called debt ceiling is a partisan game rather than a rigid fiscal constraint on the United *** long as there are no fundamental changes in the global monetary system,the international credit of US Treasuries will stay stable,and their trend of infinite expansion will be *** quantitative easing policies have failed to significantly shake this stability,and the notion of global investors offloading US Treasuries is more an illusion than a *** exorbitant privilege of US Treasuries grants its federal government the“freedom to borrow,”shielding the American financial sector from due penalties during global financial crises and securing excessive returns in global capital *** the old days when running“twin surpluses”on capital and current accounts,China kept the value of Renminbi low to support its export manufacturing sector along the southeast *** a result,China accumulated huge foreign exchange reserves,mainly US ***,this practice is no longer necessary,yielding low returns and posing significant security risks.

Intercultural trust in global contexts plays a central role in helping people from different cultures to communicate comfortably,which is essential for *** to construct a framework that might foster international cooperation,and thus be helpful for coping with global emergencies,we relate a Western nomological approach to an Eastern systems approach to analyse intercultural trust in global *** cultural impacts on intercultural trust and the nomological framework of cultural differences,we propose an intercultural trust model to interpret how cultural differences influence trust.A qualitative study of Chinese-Irish interactions was conducted to interpret this *** organized 10 seminars on intercultural trust,and interviewed 16 people to further explore the respondents'deeper feelings and experiences about intercultural trust in global *** this study,we have identified factors impacting on intercultural trust,and found that intercultural trust can be developed and improved in various *** llustrate these ways,we have provided tactics and methods for building intercultural trust in global *** are highlighted for organizations to avoid cultural clashes and relevant political or economic risks.

Does Foreign Venture Capital Provide More Value-added Services to Initial Public Offering Companies in China？

This paper uses all 1404 initial public offerings （1PO） undertaken between 2002 and 2012 in China to analyze whether venture capital （VC） investment, especially foreign VC investment, brings more or less value-added services to the invested companies during the 3 years following the IPO. The results show that venture capitalists choose to invest in companies with higher value potential, and, in turn, the value of the companies increases after the 1PO is undertaken;foreign VC adds more value to companies than domestic venture capital. However, the profitability of VC-backed and non VC-backed companies after IPO does not differ significantly. Nevertheless, it is shown that VC plays an active role in China.
