To explore the mechanism of solid-liquid two-phase flow in deep-sea mining pumps,this paper investigates the influences of the impeller cross-section area on the multi-phase flow in the slurry *** and numerical results are presented for two-phase flow in four impellers with different cross-section *** show that the degree of vortex strength and the passing capacity of particles increase as the cross-section area of the *** addition,the correlations between the two-phase flow and cross-section area have been revealed by a mathematical model taking the force of the flow field into *** simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis,while the experimental pump performances validate the numerical *** influence of the cross-section area on two-phase flow and pump performance could provide theoretical support for the design of high-performance deep-sea mining slurry pumps.

Various bio-active substances in amphibian skins play important roles in survival of the *** protease inhibitor peptides have been identified from amphibian skins,which are supposed to negatively modulate the activity of proteases to avoid premature degradation or release of skin peptides,or to inhibit extracellular proteases produced by invading ***,there is no information on the proteinase inhibitors from the frog Lepidobatrachus laevis which is unique in South *** this work,a cDNA encoding a novel trypsin inhibitor-like(TIL)cysteine-rich peptide was identified from the skin cDNA library of *** 240-bp coding region encodes an 80-amino acid residue precursor protein containing 10 *** sequence comparison and signal peptide prediction,the precursor was predicted to release a 55-amino acid mature peptide with amino acid sequence,*** mature peptide was named ***-TIL shares significant domain similarity with the peptides from the TIL supper *** and trypsin-inhibitory abilities of recombinant LL-TIL were *** LL-TIL showed no antimicrobial activity,while it had trypsin-inhibiting activity with aKi of 16.5178 *** results suggested there was TIL peptide with proteinase-inhibiting activity in the skin of frog *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first report of TIL peptide from frog skin.

RNA interference(RNAi)techniques have emerged as powerful tools that facilitate development of novel management strategies for insect pests,such as Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata(Coleoptera:Coccinellidae),which is a major pest of solanaceous plants in *** this study,the potential of oral delivery of in vvYro-synthesized and bacterially expressed double-stranded *** lesswright(Iwr)gene(dsHvlwr)to manage of *** was *** results showed that the gene Hvlwr had a 480-bp open reading frame and encoded a 160-amino acid *** expression levels were greater in the fat body than other tissue *** silencing led to greater *** mortality rates and appeared to be time-and partially dose-dependent,likely as a result of the number of hemocytes increasing with dsRNA concentration,but decreasing with *** expressed dsHvlwr that was applied to leaf discs caused 88%,66%,and 36%mortality in 1st instars,3rd instars,and adults after 10,10,and 14 d,respectively;when applied to living plants,there was greater mortality in 1 st and 3rd instars,but there was no effect on ***,dsHvlwr led to improved plant protection against *** study shows an effective dietary RNAi response in *** and that Hvlwr is a promising RNAi target gene for control of this pest species.

Charge transport characterization of single-molecule junctions is essential for the fundamental research of single-molecule physical chemistry and the development towards single-molecule electronic devices and circuits. Among the single-molecule conductance characterization techniques,the single-molecule break junction technique is widely used in tens of worldwide research laboratories which can generate a large amount of experimental data from thousands of individual measurement cycles. However,data interpretation is a challenging task for researchers with different research backgrounds,and the different data analysis approaches sometimes lead to the misunderstanding of the measurement data and even reproducibility issues of the measurement. It is thus a necessity to develop a user-friendly all-in-one data analysis tool that automatizes the basic data analysis in a standard and widely accepted way. In this work,we present the XMe Code (Xiamen Molecular Electronics Code),an intelligent all-in-one data analysis tool for the comprehensive analysis of single-molecule break junction data. XMe code provides end-to-end data analysis that takes in the original experimental data and returns electronic characteristics and even charge transport mechanisms. We believe that XMe Code will promote the transparency of the data analysis in single-molecule electronics and the collaborations among scientists with different research backgrounds.

To investigate nitrous acid(HONO)levels and potential HONO sources above crop rotation *** HONO fluxes were measured by the aerodynamic gradient(AG)method from 14 December 2019 to 2 January 2020 over an agricultural field in the Huaihe River *** ambient HONO levels were measured at two different heights(0.15 and 1.5 m),showing a typical diurnal cycle with low daytime levels and high nighttime *** upward HONO fluxes were mostly observed during the day,whereas deposition dominated at *** diurnal variation of HONO flux followed solar radiation,with a noontime maximum of 0.2 nmol/(m^(2)·sec).The average upward HONO flux of 0.06±0.17 nmol/(m^(2)·sec)indicated that the agricultural field was a net source for atmospheric *** higher HONO/NO_(2)ratio and NO_(2)-to-HONO conversion rate close to the surface suggested that nocturnal HONO was formed and released near the *** unknown HONO source was derived from the daytime HONO budget analysis,with an average strength of 0.31 ppbV/hr at *** surface HONO flux,which was highly correlated with the photolysis frequency J(NO_(2))(R^(2)=0.925)and the product of J(NO_(2))×NO_(2)(R^(2)=0.840),accounted for∼23%of unknown daytime HONO *** significant correlation between HONO fluxes and J(NO_(2))suggests a light-driven HONO formation mechanism responsible for the surface HONO flux during daytime.

B-containing electrolyte additives are widely used to enhance the cycle performance at low temperature and the rate capability of lithium-ion batteries by constructing an efficient cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)to facilitate the rapid Li+***,its wide-temperature application has been limited by the instability of B-derived CEI layer at high ***,dual electrolyte additives,consisting of lithium tetraborate(Li_(2)TB)and 2,4-difluorobiphenyl(FBP),are proposed to boost the widetemperature performances of LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)(NCM)*** calculation and electrochemical performances analyses indicate that Li_(2)TB and FBP undergo successive decomposition to form a unique dual-layer *** acts as a synergistic filming additive to Li_(2)TB,enhancing the hightemperature performance of NCM cathode while preserving the excellent low-temperature cycle stability and the superior rate capability conferred by Li_(2)TB ***,the capacity retention of NCM‖Li cells using optimal FBP-Li_(2)TB dual electrolyte additives increases to 100%after 200 cycles at-10℃,99%after 200 cycles at 25℃,and 83%after 100 cycles at 55℃,respectively,much superior to that of base electrolyte(63%/69%/45%).More surprisingly,galvanostatic c ha rge/discharge experiments at different temperatures reveal that NCM‖Li cells using FBP-Li_(2)TB additives can operate at temperatures ranging from-40℃to 60℃.This synergistic interphase modification utilizing dual electrolyte additives to construct a unique dual-layer CEI adaptive to a wide temperature range,provides valuable insights to the practical applications of NCM cathodes for all-climate batteries.

The implementation of integrated landscape management to support local and regional human well-being is crucial in arid regions,but its application to date is very *** analytical frameworks have been established to maximize ecosystem services via trade-offs between different landscape configurations,consumption factors such as water resources are rarely and weakly considered in such *** this paper,an improved integrated landscape-management analysis framework,called the Consumption-integrated Landscape Management to Ecosystem Service(CLMES),is *** this framework,consumption factors are integrated at the same level as ecosystem *** improved analytical framework is then used to assess and optimize landscape design in the Ejina Oasis,an extremely arid region in western *** landscape conditions(past,current,and future)are evaluated,based on the *** results indicate that the Heihe River water-allocation program effectively promoted ecosystem services in the Ejina Oasis from 2000 to ***,the excessive expansion of cropland led to a slight decline in habitat *** optimized landscape configuration and policy suggestions are proposed,which may be beneficial to the improvement of total water-use efficiency,oasis stability,and resilience of the ecological?social system in the Ejina Oasis.
