Entropy of a rotating and charged black string to all orders in the Planck length

By using the entanglement entropy method, this paper calculates the statistical entropy of the Bose and Fermi fields in thin films, and derives the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy and its correction term on the background of a rotating and charged black string. Here, the quantum field is entangled with quantum states in the black string and thin film to the event horizon from outside the rotating and charged black string. Taking into account the effect of the generalized uncertainty principle on quantum state density, it removes the difficulty of the divergence of state density near the event horizon in the brick-wall model. These calculations and discussions imply that high density quantum states near the event horizon of a black string are strongly correlated with the quantum states in a black string and that black string entropy is a quantum effect. The ultraviolet cut-off in the brick-wall model is not reasonable. The generalized uncertainty principle should be considered in the high energy quantum field near the event horizon. From the viewpoint of quantum statistical mechanics, the correction value of Bekenstein-Hawking entropy is obtained. This allows the fundamental recognition of the correction value of black string entropy at nonspherical coordinates.

Protein sequences as special heterogeneous sequences are rare in the amino acid sequence space. The specific sequen- tial order of amino acids of a protein is essential to its 3D structure. On the whole, the correlation between sequence and structure of a protein is not so strong. How well would a protein sequence contain its structural information？ How does a sequence determine its native structure？ Keeping the globular proteins in mind, we discuss several problems from sequence to structure.

We investigate the statistical nature of holographic gas, which may represent the quasi-particle excitations of a strongly correlated gravitational system. We find that the holographic entropy can be obtained by modifying degeneracy. We calculate thermodynamical quantities and investigate stability of the holographic gas. When applying to cosmology, we find that the holographic gas behaves as holographic dark energy, and the parameter c in holographic dark energy can be calculated from our model. Our model of holographic gas generally predicts c 〈 1, implying that the fate of our universe is phantom-like.

Belle Collaboration reported a new observed value of K＊- （892） mass by studying τ^- → Ksπ^-vτ decay, which is significantly different from the current world average value given by Particle Data Group 2006. Motivated by this new data, we revisit the issue on the K^＊0（892）- K^＊±（892） mass splitting. Our theoretical estimation favors the new measurement by Belle Collaboration. Therefore further experimental efforts are urgently needed to improve our understanding of these issues.

We have investigated both site and bond percolation on two-dimensional lattice under the random rule and the product rule respectively. With the random rule, sites or bonds are added randomly into the lattice. From two candidates picked randomly, the site or bond with the smaller size product of two connected clusters is added when the product rule is taken. Not only the size of the largest cluster but also its size jump are studied to characterize the universality class of percolation. The finite-size scaling forms of giant cluster size and size jump are proposed and used to determine the critical exponents of percolation from Monte Carlo data. It is found that the critical exponents of both size and size jump in random site percolation are equal to that in random bond percolation. With the random rule,site and bond percolation belong to the same universality class. We obtain the critical exponents of the site percolation under the product rule, which are different from that of both random percolation and the bond percolation under the product rule. The universality class of site percolation differs different from that of bond percolation when the product rule is used.

We show that the matrix （or more generally tensor） product states in a finite translation invariant system can be accurately constructed from a same set of local matrices （or tensors） that are determined from an infinite lattice system in one or higher dimensions. This provides an efficient approach for studying translation invariant tensor product states in finite lattice systems. Two methods are introduced to determine the size-independent local tensors.

All-perovskite tandem solar cells have the potential to surpass the theoretical efficiency limit of single junction solar cells by reducing thermalization ***,the challenges encompass the oxidation of Sn2+to Sn4+and uncontrolled crystallization kinetics in Sn-Pb perovskites,leading to nonradiative recombination and compositional heterogeneity to decrease photovoltaic efficiency and operational ***,we introduced an ionic liquid additive,1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium iodide （EMIMI） into Sn-Pb perovskite precursor to form low-dimensional Sn-rich/pure-Sn perovskites at grain boundaries,which mitigates oxidation of Sn2+to Sn4+and regulates the film-forming dynamics of Sn/Pb-based perovskite *** optimized single-junction Sn-Pb perovskite devices incorporating EMIMI achieved a high efficiency of 22.87%.Furthermore,combined with wide-bandgap perovskite sub-cells in tandem device,we demonstrate 2-terminal all-perovskite tandem solar cells with a power conversion efficiency of 28.34%,achieving improved operational stability.

Bounds on Higgs and top quark masses from vacuum stability(degeneracy) with gravitational contributions

Based on the two-loop RGE of standard model gauge, top-Yukawa as well as scalar quartic couplings with full one-loop gravitational contributions in harmonic gauge, we study the constraints on the Higgs and top quark mass from the requirement that the other degenerate vacua at the Planck-dominated region exists. Our numerical calculations show that nature will not develop the other degenerate vacua at the Planck-dominated region with current Higgs and top quark masses. On the other hand, requiring the existence of the other degenerate vacua at the Planck-dominated region will constrain the Higgs and top mass to lie at approximately 130 and 174 Ge V, respectively.

We calculate the lifetime of both the o-Ps and the p-Ps positronium annihilation decay Ps →γγ in the strong circular polarized laser field. We take a strategy of the faztorization to separate the effects caused by the Coulomb interaction and the strong laser 6eld interaction. It is factorized in the time direction but not in the space direction. Our results show that in the laser with long wavelength and high intensity, the lifetimes of those Ps states are dramatically increased. For C02 laser with 10 μm wavelength and 1013 W/cm2 intensity, lifetime of the spin-single positronium is increased by 108 times. Our result is consistent with those obtained by solving the SchSdinger equation. This effect may be useful for the high harmonic generation （HHG） effects provided with the Ps [Phys. Rev. Lett. 70 （1993） 774; Phys. Rev. Lett. 93 （2004） 013601].
