The energy transformation and efficiency is now a hot topic among researches of scientific drilling into fault zones （Tanaka et al., 2006; Ma et al., 2006）. This study conducted temperature measurements and fault gouge particle analysis of borehole WFSD-1 from the Wenchuan Earthquake Fault science Drilling Project （WFSD）, and discussed the earthquake energy budget. The research progress is illuminated as follows.

The number of scientific investigations on women＇s football specific to the topics of player characteristics and demands of the game has considerably increased in recent years due to the increased popularity of the women＇s game worldwide, although they are not yet as numerous as in the case of men＇s football. To date, only two scientific publications have attempted to review the main findings of studies published in this area. However, one of them was published about 20 years ago, when women＇s football was still in its infancy and there were only a few studies to report on. The other review was more recent. Nonetheless, its main focus was on the game and training demands of senior elite female players. Thus, information on female footballers of lower competitive levels and younger age groups was not included. Consequently, an updated review is needed in this area. The present article therefore aims to provide an overview of a series of studies that have been published so far on the specific characteristics of female football players and the demands of match-play. Mean values reported in the literature for age （12-27 years）, body height （155-174 cm）, body mass （48-72 kg）, percent body fat （13%-29%）, maximal oxygen uptake （45.1-55.5 mL/kg/min）, Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level l （780-1379 m）, maximum heart rate （189-202 bpm）, 30 m sprint times （4.34-4.96 s）, and counter- movement jump or vertical jump （28-50 cm） vary mostly according to the players＇ competitive level and positional role. There are also some special considerations that coaches and other practitioners should he aware of when working with female athletes such as the menstrual cycle, potential pregnancy and lactation, common injury risks （particularly knee and head injuries） and health concerns （e.g., female athlete triad, iron deficiency, and anemia） that may affect players＇ football performance, health or return to play. There is a need for the prevention of upper extremity injuries that affect a large number of competitive baseball *** available evidence alludes to three possible ways to prevent these injuries:1) regulation of unsafe participation factors,2) implementation of exercise intervention to modify suboptimal physical characteristics,and 3) instructional intervention to correct improper pitching *** these three strategies,instruction of proper pitching technique is under-explored as a method of injury ***,the purpose of this review was to explore the utility of pitching technique instruction in prevention of pitching-related upper extremity injuries by presenting evidence linking pitching technique and pitching-related upper extremity injuries,as well as identifying considerations and potential barriers in pursuing this approach to prevent *** kinematic parameters measured using laboratory-based motion capture system have been linked to excessive joint loading,and thus pitching-related upper extremity *** we gain more knowledge about the influence of pitching kinematics on joint loading and injury risk,it is important to start exploring ways to modify pitching technique through instruction and feedback while considering the specific skill components to address,mode of instruction,target population,duration of program,and ways to effectively collaborate with coaches and parents.

Multi-Level Cross-Lingual Attentive Neural Architecture for Low Resource Name Tagging

Neural networks have been widely used for English name tagging and have delivered state-of-the-art results. However, for low resource languages, due to the limited resources and lack of training data, taggers tend to have lower performance, in comparison to the English language. In this paper, we tackle this challenging issue by incorporating multi-level cross-lingual knowledge as attention into a neural architecture, which guides low resource name tagging to achieve a better performance. Specifically, we regard entity type distribution as language independent and use bilingual lexicons to bridge cross-lingual semantic mapping. Then, we jointly apply word-level cross-lingual mutual influence and entity-type level monolingual word distributions to enhance low resource name tagging. Experiments on three languages demonstrate the effectiveness of this neural architecture： for Chinese,Uzbek, and Turkish, we are able to yield significant improvements in name tagging over all previous baselines.

The scaling and additivity properties of Rényi entropy in rapidity space of the instanton final state （IFS） and current jet identified by the r-sorting method from the QCDINS Monte Carlo event sample are studied. Asymptotic scaling of the Rényi entropy H2 is observed for the IFS while H2 for the current jet jtends to saturation with decreasing phase space scale. Furthermore, it is found that the additivity of H2 holds well for the IFS in narrow rapidity windows at different positions. These results indicate that the IFS produced in the instanton-induced process of deep inelastic scattering has reached local equilibrium.

The clay mineral composition is one of the major factors that governs the physical properties of silty sand subgrade. Therefore, a thorough knowledge of mineral composition is essential to predict the optimum engineering properties of the soil, which is generally characterized by different indices like maximum dry density （MDD）, California bearing ratio （CBR）, unconfined compressive strength （UCS） and free swelling index （FSI）. In this article, a novel multi- attribute decision making （MADM） based approach of mix design has been proposed for silty sand- artificial clay mix to improve the characteristic strength of a soil subgrade. Experimental investigation has been carried out in this study to illustrate the proposed approach of selecting appropriate proportion for the soil mix to optimize all the above mentioned engineering properties simultaneously. The results show that a mix proportion containing approximately 90% silty sand plus 10% bentonite soil is the optimal combination in context to the present study. The proposed methodology for optimal decision making to choose appropriate combination of bentonite and silty sand is general in nature and therefore, it can be extended to other problems of selecting mineral compositions.

Unconventional oil and gas resources have become more and more important for meeting our increasing energy needs, tbr conventional petroleum resources are becoming depleted. During the exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas resources, the magnitude and direction of in situ stresses are key parameters for sweet spot forecast, stimulation parameters selection, horizontal well arrangement and borehole stability analysis （Olsen et al., 2009; John, et al., 2011）. In situ stresses have been previously focused on, but unfortunately they are not well understood when stimulation and completion decisions are made.

Mount Bambouto is a polygenic stratovolcano of the Cameroon Volcanic Line, built between 21 Ma and 4.5 Ma. It is situated approximately 200 km NE of Mount Cameroon, between 09° 55＇ and 10°15＇ longitude east and, 05°25＇ and 05°50＇ latitude north. The volcano covers an area of 500 km^2 and culminates at 2740 m at Meletan dome and bears a collapsed caldera at the summit （13 × 8 km）. Mount Bambouto is characterized by several natural hazards of different origins： meteorological, such as landslides and rock falls; anthropogenic, such as bushfires, tribal wars and deforestation; and volcanological, such as volcanic eruption. The thematic map shows that 55-60% of the caldera has high probability of occurrence of mass movement. The caldera has a high population density （3000 inhabitants）, which increases the level of risk, evaluated at approximately $US3.8 million for patrimony, 3000 civilian deaths and destruction of biodiversity.
