摘 要:Unconventional oil and gas resources have become more and more important for meeting our increasing energy needs, tbr conventional petroleum resources are becoming depleted. During the exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas resources, the magnitude and direction of in situ stresses are key parameters for sweet spot forecast, stimulation parameters selection, horizontal well arrangement and borehole stability analysis (Olsen et al., 2009; John, et al., 2011). In situ stresses have been previously focused on, but unfortunately they are not well understood when stimulation and completion decisions are made.
