Structural energy storage composites present advantages in simultaneously achieving structural strength and electrochemical *** of carbon fiber electrodes and resin structural electrolytes in energy storage composite poses challenges in maintaining good mechanical and electrochemical properties at reasonable cost and ***,we report a simple method to fabricate structural supercapacitor using carbon fiber electrodes(modified by Ni-layered double hydroxide(Ni-LDH)and in-situ growth of Co-metal-organic framework(Co-MOF)in a two-step process denoted as Co-MOF/Ni-LDH@CF)and bicontinuous-phase epoxy resin-based structural ***-MOF/Ni-LDH@CF as electrode material exhibits improved specific capacity(42.45 F·g^(-1))and cycle performance(93.3%capacity retention after 1000 cycles)in a three-electrode *** bicontinuous-phase epoxy resin-based structural electrolyte exhibits an ionic conductivity of 3.27×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1).The fabricated Co-MOF/Ni-LDH@CF/SPE-50 structural supercapacitor has an energy density of 3.21 Wh·kg^(-1) at a power density of 42.25 W·kg^(-1),whilst maintaining tensile strength and modulus of 334.6 MPa and 25.2 *** results show practical potential of employing modified commercial carbon fiber electrodes and epoxy resin-based structural electrolytes in structural energy storage applications.

Background Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana (NPY) is a direct benefit transfer scheme of the Government of India introduced in 2018 to support the additional nutritional requirements of persons with TB (PwTB). Our recent nationwide evaluation of implementation and utilization of NPY using programmatic data of PwTB from nine randomly selected Indian states, reported a 70% coverage and high median delay in benefit credit. We undertook a qualitative study between January and July 2023, to understand the detailed implementation process of NPY and explore the enablers and barriers to effective implementation and utilization of the NPY *** We followed a grounded theory approach to inductively develop theoretical explanations for social phenomena through data generated from multiple sources. We conducted 36 in-depth interviews of national, district and field-level staff of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) and NPY beneficiaries from 30 districts across nine states of India, selected using theoretical sampling. An analytical framework developed through inductive coding of a set of six interviews, guided the coding of the subsequent interviews. Categories and themes emerged through constant comparison and the data collection continued until theoretical *** Stakeholders perceived NPY as a beneficial initiative. Strong political commitment from the state administration, mainstreaming of NTEP work with the district public healthcare delivery system, availability of good geographic and internet connectivity and state-specific grievance redressal mechanisms and innovations were identified as enablers of implementation. The question of whether an ideal network exists with global scalability in its full life cycle has always been a first-principles problem in the research of network systems and *** far,it has not been possible to scientifically practice the design criteria of an ideal network in a unimorphic network system,making it difficult to adapt to known services with clear application scenarios while supporting the ever-growing future services with unexpected ***,we theoretically prove that no unimorphic network system can simultaneously meet the scalability requirement in a full cycle in three dimensions—the service-level agreement(S),multiplexity(M),and variousness(V)—which we name as the“impossible SMV triangle”*** is only by transforming the current network development paradigm that the contradiction between global scalability and a unified network infrastructure can be resolved from the perspectives of thinking,methodology,and practice *** this paper,we propose a theoretical framework called the polymorphic network environment(PNE),the first principle of which is to separate or decouple application network systems from the infrastructure environment and,under the given resource conditions,use core technologies such as the elementization of network baselines,the dynamic aggregation of resources,and collaborative software and hardware arrangements to generate the capability of the“network of networks.”This makes it possible to construct an ideal network system that is designed for change and capable of symbiosis and coexistence with the generative network morpha in the spatiotemporal *** environment test for principle verification shows that the generated representative application network modalities can not only coexist without mutual influence but also independently match well-defined multimedia services or custom services under the constraints of technical and economic indicators.

Water toxicity determination with electrochemically active bacteria(EAB)shows promise for providing early warnings for heavy metal pollution in ***,thus far,only idealized tests with a few types of heavy metals have been *** this study,an automatic water-toxicitydetermination system with high technical maturity was established,and the toxicological properties of common heavy metals were systematically *** results demonstrated that the common heavy metals linearly inhibited EAB currents in the range of 0.1 mg/L to 0.5 mg/*** toxicity ranking of the tested heavy metals was Pb^(2+)>Tl^(3+)>Cu^(2+)>Cd^(2+)>Zn^(2+)>Ni^(2+)>Hg^(2+)>As^(3+).The toxicity interaction mainly exhibited an antagonistic effect in binary heavy metal *** system can accurately determine surface water toxicity and rapidly monitor heavy metal pollution,with good repeatability and a long ***,this study demonstrates that EAB are capable of long-term(>60 d)surface water quality monitoring and on-site early warning of heavy metal pollution.

In previous studies,Periaqueductal Gray(PAG)stimulation was used to stop ratbots from *** to the homology between the PAG and the intercollicular nucleus,which has been used for forward movement in birds,we investigated the possibility of PAG application to induce forward locomotion for the first *** a corridor maze,the traveled distances via PAG electrical stimulation were examined in nine Wistar male rats during three sessions.A custom-designed stimulator was developed to apply the *** results showed reductions in responses to stimulation over ***,the traveled distances had negative slopes during the consecutive trials(in 8 out of the 9 rats),and the slope mean was significantly different from *** was a strong correlation between the stimulation parameters(electric Charge per Phase(CPP)and the Number of Pulses(NP))and the observed *** negative Movement Slopes(MS)were highly correlated with the CPP and the NP,as the Pearson's linear correlation coefficients were−0.87 and−0.79,*** MS-CPP coefficients of determination(R-squared)were also between 0.76 and *** addition,the MS-NP coefficients of determination were between 0.63 and ***,it is concluded that the electrical stimulation parameters influence the behavioral outcomes ***,the PAG area may be considered a suitable candidate for forward locomotion control in the future if the area is harnessed effectively to prevent undesirable chaotic behaviors.

A pair of unidirectional turbines(UT)can operate in oscillatory airflow without additional ***,this arrangement suffers from poor flow rectification.A fluidic diode(FD)offers variable hydrodynamic resistance based on the flow direction,and this can be coupled with UT to improve flow *** this work,a numerical investigation on the effect of FD with UT is presented using the commercial fluid dynamics software ANSYS Fluent 16.1 with k-ωSST turbulence closure *** domains of UT and FD are numerically validated individually with experimental ***,both are coupled to obtain the combined effect,and these results are compared with the analytical *** was observed that coupling FD with UT improved the unit's performance at the lower flow coefficient(<1),but its performance decreased as the flow coefficient *** to the diode's presence,fluid leaving the turbine experiences higher resistance at a higher flow coefficient,which decreases the overall performance of the combined unit.
