Dear Editor, Phenotypic drug discovery, which observes compound effects on physiology,has given way to targeting specific molecules, but has revived by using modern methods to find drugs based on therapeutic outcomes in disease models(Vincent et al., 2022). Osteoarthritis(OA) is a prevalent chronic joint disorder, primarily affecting knee joints, with osteoclast activation due to low-grade inflammation resulting in increased bone resorption and structural changes in the joint(Katz et al.,2021).

The feasibility of manufacturing Ti-6Al-4V samples through a combination of laser-aided additive manufacturing with powder(LAAM_(p))and wire(LAAM_(w))was explored.A process study was first conducted to successfully circumvent defects in Ti-6Al-4V deposits for LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w),*** the optimized process parameters,robust interfaces were achieved between powder/wire deposits and the forged substrate,as well as between powder and wire *** characterization results revealed the epitaxial prior β grains in the deposited Ti-6Al-4V,wherein the powder deposit was dominated by a finerα′microstructure and the wire deposit was characterized by lamellar α *** mechanisms of microstructure formation and correlation with mechanical behavior were analyzed and *** mechanical properties of the interfacial samples can meet the requirements of the relevant Aerospace material Specifications(AMS 6932)even without post heat *** fracture occurred within the interfacial area,further suggesting the robust *** findings of this study highlighted the feasibility of combining LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w) in the direct manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V parts in accordance with the required dimensional resolution and deposition rate,together with sound strength and ductility balance in the as-built condition.

Several aromatic ring-substituted N-acetyl-phenylalanine methyl esters were treated with POCl3 in refluxing benzene, which is the typical condition of B-N reaction. It was found that the normal B-N product 3, 4-dihydroisoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester and/or 5-benzyl-2-methyl-4-methoxy oxazole could be obtained. The result depended mainly upon the electron-donating property of the substitutes on the benzene ring. Strong electron-donating groups located at para- or ortho- to the cyclization site will facilitate the formation of the normal B-N product 2. On the other hand, the absence or weak electron-donating groups tended to yield the oxazole product 3. It was established that the formation of benzyl oxazole is the competitive path with the B-N reaction. In this article, an explanation was given based on the mechanism of Bishler-Napieralski reaction.

Carbon can change the phase components of low-density steels and influence the mechanical *** this study,a new method to control the carbon content and avoid the formation ofδ-ferrite by decarburization treatment was *** microstructural changes and mechanical characteristics with carbon content induced by decarburization were systematically ***-Jaoul(C-J)analysis was employed to examine the work hardening characteristics during the tensile *** decarburization by heat treatments,the carbon content within the austenite phase decreased,while Mn and Al were almost unchanged;this made the steel with full austenite transform into the austenite and ferrite dual ***,(Ti,V)C carbides existed in both matrix phase and the mole fraction almost the *** addition,the formation of other carbides *** loss induced a decrease in strength due to the weakening of the carbon solid *** the steel with the single austinite,the deformation mode of austenite was the dislocation planar glide,resulting in the formation of *** the dual-phase steel,the deformation occurred by the dislocation planar glide of austenite first,with the increase in strain,the cross slip of ferrite took place,forming dislocation cells in *** the late stage of deformation,the work hardening of austinite increased rapidly,while that of ferrite increased slightly.

　　Erythrocentaurin is a relatively simple nature product isolated from the root of Gentiana macrophylla Pall.[1] The co-existed of gentiopicroside from the same species led to speculation that erythrocentaurin is a biosynthesis product of gentiopicroside. The transformation of secologanin to carbocyclic aglycone under biomimetic condition has already known (Scheme 1).[2,3] The postulated biosynthesis pathway of erythrocentaurin may be in the same way. The soaring demand for smart portable electronics and electric vehicles is propelling the advancements in high-energy–density lithium-ion *** manganese iron phosphate (LiMnxFe1-xPO4) has garnered significant attention as a promising positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its advantages of low cost,high safety,long cycle life,high voltage,good high-temperature performance,and high energy *** LiMnxFe1-xPO4has made significant breakthroughs in the past few decades,there are still facing great challenges in poor electronic conductivity and Li-ion diffusion,manganese dissolution affecting battery cycling performance,as well as low tap *** review systematically summarizes the reaction mechanisms,various synthesis methods,and electrochemical properties of LiMnxFe1-xPO4to analyze reaction processes accurately and guide material ***,the main challenges currently faced are concluded,and the corresponding various modification strategies are discussed to enhance the reaction kinetics and electrochemical performance of LiMnxFe1-xPO4,including multi-scale particle regulation,heteroatom doping,surface coating,as well as microscopic morphology ***,in view of the current research challenges faced by intrinsic reaction processes,kinetics,and energy storage applications,the promising research directions are *** importantly,it is expected to provide key insights into the development of high-performance and stable LiMnxFe1-xPO4materials,to achieve practical energy storage requirements.

It is assumed from the energy level that ultraviolet (UV) photons may have intensifying effect on BaFBr∶Eu 2+. In this paper, effect of UV photons (220～290 nm) on the PSL intensity of X-ray irradiated BaFBr∶Eu 2+ was measured and compared to that on the PSL intensity of 220 nm photons irradiated BaFBr∶Eu 2+. It was found that after the excitation of UV photons the PSL intensity of X-ray irradiated samples decreases least at 250 nm and that of 220 nm photons irradiated samples increases most at 250 nm. When the irradiation sources are X-rays and 220 nm photons the excited electrons are photoelectron and thermal-electrons, respectively, and they have different possibility of being captured by electron traps or combined with luminescent centers. And the peak at 250 nm can be explained with the model of electrons tunneling. It is assumed that the electrons excited by 250 nm have the most possibility of tunneling.

The electronic structures, Born effective charges（BECs）, and full phonon dispersions of cubic, tetragonal, orthorhombic, and rhombohedral K0.5Na0.5Nb O3 are investigated by the first principles method based on density functional *** hybridized states of Nb 4d and O 2p states are observed in the valence band, showing the formation of a strong Nb–O covalent bond which should be responsible for the displacement of Nb and O atoms. The abnormally large BECs of Nb and O indicate the possibility of phase instability induced by the off-center displacement of Nb and O atoms. The phonon dispersions reveal that the ferroelectric instability of K0.5Na0.5Nb O3 is dominated by Nb and O displacements with significant Na characteristics. In addition to the ferroelectric instability, there is also rotational instability coming from the oxygen octahedra rotation around one axis. Moreover, the Γ phonon properties of orthorhombic KNb O3, Na Nb O3, and K0.5Na0.5Nb O3 are also studied in detail.
