Recently, regularization methods have attracted increasing attention. Lq (0 < q < 1) regularizations were proposed after L1 regularization for better solution of sparsity problems. A natural question is which is the best choice among Lq regularizations with all q in (0, 1)? By taking phase diagram studies with a set of experiments implemented on signal recovery and error correction problems, we show the following: 1) As the value of q decreases, the Lq regularization generates sparser solution. 2) When 1/2 ≤ q < 1, the L1/2 regularization always yields the best sparse solution and when 0 < q ≤ 1/2, the performance of the regularizatons takes no significant difference. Accordingly, we conclude that the L1/2 regularization can be taken as a rep- resentative of Lq (0 < q < 1) regularizations.

Making house calls is very crucial to deal with the competitive pressures of the service business and to improve service quality. We design a model called service routing problem with time windows and stochastic service time(SRPTW-SST) that is based on vehicle routing problem with time windows. A self-adaptive discrete cuckoo search algorithm with genetic mechanism(sDCSGM) is proposed for the model SRPTW-SST. Moreover,we design a selection mechanism to improve the logicality of the algorithm based on the strong randomness of the Lévy flight. We introduce a genetic mechanism and design a neighborhood search mechanism for improving the robustness of the algorithm. In addition, an adaptive parameter adjustment method is designed to eliminate the impact of fixed parameters. The experimental results show that the sDCS-GM algorithm is more robust and effective than the state-of-the-art methods.

To solve the problems of updating sub-secrets or secrets as well as adding or deleting agents in the quantum secret sharing protocol, we propose a two-particle transform of Bell states, and consequently present a novel dynamic quantum secret sharing protocol. The new protocol can not only resist some typical attacks, but also be more efficient than the existing protocols. Furthermore, we take advantage of the protocol to establish the dynamic secret sharing of a quantum state protocol for two-particle maximum entangled states.

As a generalization of fuzzy set,hesitant probabilistic fuzzy set and pythagorean triangular fuzzy set have their own unique advantages in describing decision information.As modern socioeconomic decision-making problems are becoming more and more complex,it also becomes more and more difficult to appropriately depict decision makers’cognitive information in decision-making process.In order to describe the decision information more comprehensively,we define a pythagorean probabilistic hesitant triangular fuzzy set(PPHTFS)by combining the pythagorean triangular fuzzy set and the probabilistic hesitant fuzzy set.Firstly,the basic operation and scoring function of the pythagorean probabilistic hesitant triangular fuzzy element(PPHTFE)are proposed,and the comparison rule of two PPHTFEs is given.Then,some pythagorean probabilistic hesitant triangular fuzzy aggregation operators are developed,and their properties are also studied.Finally,a multi-attribute decision-making(MADM)model is constructed based on the proposed operators under the pythagorean probabilistic hesitant triangular fuzzy information,and an illustration example is given to demonstrate the practicability and validity of the proposed decision-making method.

Key-Recovery Attacks on LED-Like Block Ciphers

Asymmetric cryptographic schemes, represe nted by RSA, have bee n show n to be in secure un der quantum computing conditions. Correspondingly, there is a need to study whether the symmetric cryptosystem can still guarantee high security with the advent of quantum computers. In this paper, based on the basic principles of classical slide attacks and Simon's algorithm, we take LED-like lightweight block ciphers as research objects to present a security analysis under both classical and quantum attacks, fully considering the influence on the security of the ciphers of adding the round constants. By analyzing the information leakage of round constants, we can introduce the differential of the round constants to propose a classical slide attack on full-round LED-64 with a probability of 1. The analysis result shows that LED-64 is unable to resist this kind of classical slide attack, but that attack method is not applicable to LED-128. As for quantum attacks, by improving on existing quantum attack methods we dem on strate a qua ntum single-key slide attack on LED-64 and a quantum related-key attack on LED- 128, and indicators of the two attack algorithms are analyzed in detail. The attack results show that adding round consta nts does not completely improve the security of the ciphers, and quantum attacks can provide an exp on ential speed-up over the same attacks in the classical model. It further illustrates that the block cipher that is proved to be safe under classical settings is not necessarily secure under quantum conditions.

A New Method for Finding Impossible Differentials of Generalized Feistel Structures

Impossible differential cryptanalysis is one of the most powerful attacks against modern block ciphers.In most cases, the resistance of a block cipher against impossible differential cryptanalysis can be measured by the length of the longest impossible differentials. By taking a closer look into the round function, we present a new method to find longer impossible differentials of wordoriented generalized Feistel structures. We conclude the existence of impossible differentials by the nonzero points of the XOR-ed masked differences in the middle round.This method uses differential style and its nonzero point to find the impossible differential, which is much easier than the classical impossible differential searching method.By applying our method, we can find several longest impossible differentials of some famous block cipher structures with SP(Substitution-permutation) round functions.If some extra conditions of the round function are taken into consideration(e.g. the permutation layer is designed as binary matrix or some sparse matrix), longer impossible differentials could be achieved by our method.

The building blocks of the original 3D block cipher structure,first proposed by Nakahara[1]and generalized in[2],are four different invertible transformations that are similar to AES(advanced encryption standard[3])but operate in a 3D array A:RoundK ey Additionκi;Byte Substitutionγ;ShiftR owsθ1,which are applied in alternate rounds;and Mix Columnsπ.Owing to the alternate application of two different ShiftR ows transformationsθ1,the 3D block cipher[1]achieves quick diffusion and guarantees enough active S-boxes to resist differential and linear cryptanalysis[4].

Non-malleable extractor is an important tool for studying the problem of privacy amplification in classical and quantum cryptography with an active adversary. The randomness of the weakly-random source X before privacy amplification always depends on the information adversary has, called side information. We study properties of such extractors in the presence of classical and quantum side information, and show that any non-malleable extractor is essentially secure in the case where the adversary has classical side information.We also prove that non-malleable extractors are quantumproof with uniform seed, or only require the seed to be weakly random.

Water surface wave turbulence is one of the factors afecting the performances of underwater optical wireless communication(UOWC)systems.In our research,a phase-conjugate beam was used to correct the beam distortion and enhance the communication performances when a system is subject to surface wave turbulence.The phase-conjugate beam was generated by a phase-conjugate mirror(PCM),and a turbulence generator was used to generate surface wave turbulence in the experiment.We calculated the beam centroid distribution and the results showed that the phase-conjugate beam had a better propagation performance than the distorted beam at the diferent water depths.The root mean square(RMS)of the beam centroid for the phase-conjugate beam was 11 times less than that for the distorted beam,which meant that the phase-conjugate beam could efectively correct the beam drift.We further investigated the scintillation index and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR);the results showed that the phase-conjugate beam was able to reduce the scintillation and an obvious improvement in SNR could be obtained.This research has the potential to be applied in UWC.
