Investigations of resonances and threshold behaviors in positron-helium scattering have been made using the momentum-space coupled-channels optical method.The positronium formation channels are considered via an equivalent-local complex potential.The s-wave resonances and the Wigner cusp feature at the positronium（n = 1） formation threshold are compared with the previous reports.The p-and the d-wave resonances and a Wigner cusp feature at the positronium（n = 2） formation threshold are reported for the first time.

A quantum chain model of multiple molecule motors is proposed as a mathematical physics theory for the microscopic modeling of classical force-velocity relation and tension transients in muscle fibers. The proposed model was a quantum many-particle Hamiltonian to predict the force-velocity relation for the slow release of muscle fibers, which has not yet been empirically defined and was much more complicated than the hyperbolic relationships. Using the same Hamiltonian model, a mathematical force-velocity relationship was proposed to explain the tension observed when the muscle was stimulated with an alternative electric current. The discrepancy between input electric frequency and the muscle oscillation frequency could be explained physically by the Doppler effect in this quantum chain model. Further more, quantum physics phenomena were applied to explore the tension time course of cardiac muscle and insect flight muscle. Most of the experimental tension transient curves were found to correspond to the theoretical output of quantum two- and three-level models. Mathematical modeling electric stimulus as photons exciting a quantum three-level particle reproduced most of the tension transient curves of water bug Lethocerus maximus.

An application of the coupled-channels optical method is given for the energy-dependent phenomena of positron- hydrogen resonances below the n = 2 excitation threshold. The equivalent local optical potential is used to account for the target polarization and positronium formation. The calculation includes 9 explicitly physical coupled channels. The lowest S-wave resonance energy position and new resonances are found. Angular dependence of the cross section in the resonance region are investigated.

We report a momentum-space study on low-energy electron-CO collisions.Elastic differential cross sections（DCS） are obtained using a static-exchange-optical（SEO） model for the incident energies of 2,3,5,and 10 eV.Polarization effect of higher reaction channels,including the ionization continuum,on the elastic collision is represented by an ab initio equivalent-local optical potential.The cross sections are compared with experimental measurements and other theoretical results.

This paper aims to study low dimensional cohomology of Hom-Lie algebras and the qdeformed W（2, 2） algebra. We show that the q-deformed W（2, 2） algebra is a Hom-Lie algebra. Also,we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the equivalence classes of one-dimensional central extensions of a Hom-Lie algebra and its second cohomology group, leading us to determine the second cohomology group of the q-deformed W（2, 2） algebra. In addition, we generalize some results of derivations of finitely generated Lie algebras with values in graded modules to Hom-Lie algebras.As application, we compute all αk-derivations and in particular the first cohomology group of the q-deformed W（2, 2） algebra.

The standard distorted wave Born approximation （DWBA） method has been extended to second-order Born amplitude in order to describe the multiple interactions between the projectile and the atomic target. Second-order DWBA calculations have been preformed to investigate the triple differential cross sections （TDCS） of coplanar doubly symmetric （e, 2e） collisions for the alkali target potassium at excess energies of 6 eV-60 eV. Compared with the previous first-order DWBA calculations, the present theoretical model improves the degree of agreement with experiments, especially for the backward scattering angle region of TDCS. This indicates that the present second-order Born term is capable of giving a reasonable correction to the DWBA model in studying coplanar symmetric （e, 2e） problems in low and intermediate energy ranges.

The coupled-channels optical method for positron scattering has been applied to investigate resonance states with unnatural parities in a positron-excited hydrogen system. The positronium formation channels and continuum channel are included via a complex equivalent local potential. Resonance states with angular momenta L =- 1 to L = 2 and parities （-1）L＋1 are calculated. Resonance energies and widths are reported and compared with other theoretical calculations. We found that the opening positronium formation channels play an important role in forming nondipole Feshbach resonances.

Perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA),a representative of per/polyfluorinated alkyl substances,has become a persistent water pollutant of widespread concern due to its biological toxicity and refractory property.In this work,we design and synthesize two porous aromatic frameworks(PAF) of PAF-CF3and PAF-C2F5using fluorine-containing alkyl based monomers in tetrahedral geometry.Both PAFs exhibit nanosized pores(～1.0 nm) of high surface areas(over 800 m2g-1) and good fluorophilicity.Remarkable adsorption capacity(>740 mg g-1) and superior efficiency(>24 g mg-1h-1) are achieved toward the removal of PFOA with 1μg L-1concentration owing to unique C-F…F-C interactions.In particular,PAF-CF3and PAF-C2F5are able to reduce the PFOA concentration in water to 37.9 ng L-1and 43.3 ng L-1,below EPA regulations(70 ng L-1).The reusability and high efficiency give both PAFs a great potential for sewage treatment.

The momentum-space multichannel static-exchange-optical model is applied to the electron-H_(2) collision at the two-state close-coupling level.Differential cross sections for X^(1)Σ_(g) to b^(3)Σ_(u) transition at the energies of 20 and 30 eV are reported.Results are compared with other theoretical results and experimental data.Elastic scattering cross sections are also presented and compared with other work.
