A novel output feedback control law with disturbance compensation for nonlinear multiinputmulti-output (MIMO) time-invariant systems under measurement noises is proposed. Thedesigned control law, based on the noise and disturbance estimations, ensures the accuracy insteady state depending on the disturbance, only one component of noise vector and its firstderivatives. Therefore, the proposed algorithm is efficient under noises with large *** conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) provide a practical exponentialstability of the closed-loop system. The simulations illustrate an efficiency of the proposedmethod compared with some existing ones.

This paper considers the problem of natural vibrations of a deformable structure containing elements made of *** piezoelectric elements are connected through electrodes to an external electric circuit,which consists of resistive,inductive and capacitive *** on the solution of this problem,the parameters of external electric circuits are searched for to allow optimal passive control of the structural *** solution to the problem is complex natural vibration frequencies,the real part of which corresponds to the circular eigenfrequency of vibrations and the imaginary part corresponds to its damping rate(damping ratio).The analysis of behaviour of the imaginary parts of complex eigenfrequencies in the space of external circuit parameters allows one to damp given modes of structure *** effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated using a cantilever-clamped plate and a shell structure in the form of a semi-cylinder connected to series resonant RL circuits.

A considerable part of the world's population is currently experiencing a severe scarcity of freshwater and nutrition. Inland aquaculture has the fastest growth in fresh waters, and this contributes to the eutrophication of freshwater bodies. The increase in freshwater aquaculture impacts on the increasing demand for fresh water. A way to overcome this is to develop aquaculture in saline lakes. This article discusses how saline and hypersaline lakes may contribute to overcome this problem and gives a list of fish and shrimp species that can be cultivated in saline lakes. Successful development of aquaculture depends on a healthy cultured stock of commercial fish and shrimps. A sustainable healthy stock of fish and shrimps can be only maintained using live food for the cultured fish larvae, fry and fingerlings. As well as Artemia spp. there are many other crustacean species with the potential for growing in hypersaline waters. At least 26 copepod species around the world can live at a salinity above 100 g/L with 12 species at a salinity higher than 200 g/L, and these all have excellent nutritional value. There is a high potential to use eukaryotic organisms of diff erent taxa in saline/hypersaline aquaculture for food, agri-aquaculture, diff erent industries and as food supplements.

Filamentous green algae play an important functional role in element cycling and productivity in the diff erent water bodies. In hypersaline lakes and lagoons of the Crimea, filamentous green algae are present and form bottom and floating mats that occupy large areas with high biomass, up to 4–5 kg(wet biomass)/m2. Cladophora spp. dominated in those mats. Five species of filamentous green algae(Chlorophyta) in Lake Chersonesskoye: C ladophora vadorum(Aresch.) Kütz., C. siwaschensis C. Meyer, C. echinus(Biasol.) Kütz., Ulothrix implexa(Kütz.) Kütz., Rhizoclonium tortuosum(Dillw.) Kütz., and seagrass(Angiospermae) R uppia cirrhosa(Petagna) Grande were found. Cladophora spp. and R. cirrhosa were found in the lake throughout the year, other types of algae were encountered episodically. In most cases the biomass of bottom mat exceeded that of the floating mat. In general, the total biomass of the bottom and floating mats in the lake areas at depths up to 30 cm was in a stable range of values from 100 to 290 mg(dry weight)/cm2. Animal and infusorian average abundance in mats reach high values: infusorians—up to 15 000 000 ind./m2, Cletocamptus retrogressus(Copepoda, Harpacticoida)—up to 730 000 ind./m2, Eucypris mareotica(Ostracoda)—up to 91 000 ind./m2 and Chironomidae larvae(Insecta, Diptera)—up to 140 ind./m2. Those values were much higher than in the plankton.

Clustering of Pathogen-Response Genes in the Genome of Arabidopsis thaliana

Previously, we used heterologous expressed sequence tag （EST） mapping to generate a profile of 4 935 pathogen-response genes of Arabidopsis thaliana. In this work, we performed a computer analysis of this profile, revealing 1594 non-homologous clustered genes distributed among all A. thafiana chromosomes, whose co-regulation may be related to host responses to pathogens. To supplement computer data, we arbitrarily selected two clusters and analyzed their expression levels in A. thaliana ecotypes Col-0 and C24 during infection with the yellow strain of Cucumber mosaic virus CMV（Y）. Ecotype Col-0 is susceptible to CMV（Y）, whereas C24 contains the dominant resistance gene RCY1. Upon infection with CMV（Y）, all clustered genes were significantly activated in the resistant ecotype C24. In addition, we demonstrated that posttranslational histone modifications associated with trimethylation of histone H3 lysine 27 are most likely involved in regulation of several cluster genes described in this study. Overall, our experiments indicated that pathogen-response genes in the genome of A. thaliana may be clustered and co-regulated.

This paper reports a laboratory investigation of the fuel injection process in a diesel *** atomization process of the considered fuel(a hydrocarbon liquid)and the ensuing mixing with air is studied experimentally under high-pressure *** types of injector nozzles are examined,including(two)new configurations,which are compared in terms of performances to a standard injector manufactured by the Bosch *** the two alternate configurations,the intake edges of one atomizing hole(hole No.1)are located in the sack volume while for the other(hole No.2)they are located on the locking cone of the needle *** injection process,the fuel atomization fineness and fuel supply speed characteristics are studied as functions of high-pressure fuel pump camshaft speed and rotation *** results obtained show that a decrease in the high-pressure fuel pump camshaft speed can produce fuel redistribution depending on the injector *** general,however,the hole No.1 can ensure fuel flow with higher speed with respect to the hole No.2 for all the operation modes of the *** on such an analysis,we conclude that the use of certain injectors can enable a fine tuning of the propagation process of fuel sprays into various areas of the diesel engine combustion chamber.
