Dynamic Spectrum Access Protocol for the Digital Dividend

It is not more and more, easy to satisfy the important and growing spectrum demands in the context of the static conventional policy spectrum allocation. Therefore, to find a suitable solution to this problem, we are to days observing the apparition of flexible dynamic spectrum allocation methods. These methods that ought to improve more significantly the spectrum use have gained much interest. In fact, the digital dividend due to the change-over from the analog television to the digital terrestrial television must be efficiently used. So the Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) can potentially play a key role in shaping the future digital dividend use. In the DSA, two kinds of users or networks coexist on different channels. The first one, known as the primary user, accesses to a channel with high priority;and the second one, known as secondary user has a low priority. This paper presents a dynamic spectrum access protocol based on an auction framework. Our protocol is an interesting tool that allows the networks to bid and obtain on the available spectrum, the rights to be primary and secondary users according their valuations and traffic needs. Based on certain offers, our protocol selects primary and secondary users for each idle channel in order to realize the maximum economic for the regulator or social benefits. We deal with the case in which the offers of the networks are independent one another even if they will share the same channels. We design an algorithm in accordance with our dynamic spectrum access protocol. The algorithm is used here to find an optimal solution to the access allocation problem, specifically to digital dividend. Finally, the results in the numeric section, regarding the three suggested scenarios, show that the proposed dynamic spectrum access protocol is viable. The algorithm is able to eliminate all non-compliant bidders for the available spectrum sharing. We notice that the revenue or social benefits of the regulator is maximized when we

This paper presents a robust sixth-order Discrete-time Extended Sliding Mode Observer (deSMO) for sensorless control of PMSM in order to estimate the currents, speed, rotor position, load torque and stator resistance. The satisfying simulation results on Simulink/Matlab environment for a 1.6 kW PMSM demonstrate the good performance and stability of the proposed ESMO algorithm against parameter variation, modeling uncertainty, measurement and system noises.

Mathematical morphology can process the binary and grayscale image successfully. This theory cannot be extended to the color image directly. In color space, a vector represents a pixel, so in order to compare vectors, vectoriel orderings must be defined first. This paper addresses the question of the extension of morphological operator to the case of color images. The proposed method used the order by bit mixing to replace the conditional order. Our order is based on a combination of reduced and bit mixing ordering of the underlying data. Additionally it is a total ordering. Since it not only solves the problems of false color generated by the marginal order but also those of multiple extrema generated by reduced order. The performance of the introduced operators is illustrated by means of different applications: color gradients for segmenting, image smoothing (noise suppression) by median filter operator and Laplacian operators. Examples of natural color images and synthetic color images are given. Experimental results show the improvement brought by this new method.

The Chinese Tianshan belt is a major part of the southern Central Asian Orogenic Belt, extending westward to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Its Paleozoic tectonic evolution, crucial for understanding the amalgamation of Central Asia, comprises two stages of subduction-collision. The first collisional stage built the Eo-Tianshan Mountains, before a Visean unconformity, in which all structures are verging north. It implied a southward subduction of the Central Tianshan Ocean beneath the Tarim active margin, that induced the Ordovician-Early devonian Central Tianshan arc, to the south of which the South Tianshan back-arc basin opened. During the Late devonian, the closure of this ocean led to a collision between Central Tianshan arc and the Kazakhstan-Yili-North Tianshan Block, and subsequently closure of the South Tianhan back-arc basin, producing two suture zones, namely the Central Tianshan and South Tianshan suture zones where ophiolitic melanges and HP metamorphic rocks were emplaced northward. The second stage included the Late devonian-Carboniferous southward subduction of North Tianshan Ocean beneath the Eo-Tianshan active margin, underlined by the Yili-North Tianshan arc, leading to the collision between the Kazakhstan-Yili-NTS plate and an inferred Junggar Block at Late Carboniferous-Early Permian time. The North Tianshan Suture Zone underlines likely the last oceanic closure of Central Asia Orogenic Belt; all the oceanic domains were consumed before the Middle Permian. The amalgamated units were affected by a Permian major wrenching, dextral in the Tianshan. The correlation with the Kazakh and Kyrgyz Tianshan is clarified. The Kyrgyz South Tianshan is equivalent to the whole part of Chinese Tianshan （CTS and STS） located to the south of Narat Fault and Main Tianshan Shear Zone; the so-called Middle Tianshan thins out toward the east. To titrate or measure a chemical species in a solution is to estimate its quantity of matter or its molar concentration in a given solution. Several methods of estimating molar concentrations of chemical species exist, the main ones being Colorimetric titration, Conductimetric titration, pH metric titration. In practice, all these methods present approximative results because the operator repeats the experiment to ensure the reliability of the results. As a consequence, we have a prolonged time of the experiment which involves a cost in reagents. Given the repetitions of the same experiment, the final result is the average of the results of each experiment. The aim of this paper is to correct this subjectivity by implementing a semi-automatic approach based on colorimetric titration. At the end of the implementation of our approach, we compared our results to those of existing techniques. These results show the reliability of the calculation by the semi-automatic method. This method of estimating the volume at equivalence is fast because it is not manual and does not involve the use of geometric measuring instruments to find the volume at equivalence. This method improves the manual calculation of the volume at equivalence used in the laboratories in school and student environment.

The frequencies of free oscillations of plants,or plant parts,depend on their geometries,stiffnesses,and *** direct biomechanical interest,free frequencies also provide insights into plant properties that can usually only bemeasured destructively or with low-throughput techniques(e.g.,change inmass,tissue density,or stiffness over development or with stresses).We propose here a new high-throughput method based on the noncontact measurements of the free frequencies of the standing *** plant is excited by short air pulses(typically 100ms).The resulting motion is recorded by a high speed video camera(100 fps)and processed using fast space and time correlation *** less than aminute the mechanical behavior of the plant is tested over several *** performance and versatility of this method has been tested in three contrasted species:tobacco(Nicotiana benthamian),wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),and poplar(Populus sp.),for a total ofmore than 4000 data *** tobaccowe show that water stress decreased the free frequency by 15%.In wheat we could detect variations of less than 1 g in the mass of *** poplar we could measure frequencies of both the whole stem and *** work provides insight into new potential directions for development of phenotyping.

We report an angle-resolved photoemission investigation of optimally doped Ca0.33Na0.67Fe2As2. The Fermi surface topology of this compound is similar to that of the well-studied Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 material, except for larger hole pockets resulting from a higher hole concentration per Fe atoms. We find that the quasi-nesting conditions are weakened in this compound compared to Ba0.6K0.4Fe2 As2. Similar to Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2, we observe nearly isotropie superconducting gaps with Fermi surface-dependent magnitudes for Ca0.33Na0.67 Fe2As2. A small variation in the gap size along the momentum direction perpendicular to the surface is found for one of the Fermi surfaces. Our superconducting gap results on all Fermi surface sheets fit simultaneously very well to a global gap function derived from a strong coupling approach, which contains only 2 global parameters.

Numerical and Geophysical Tools Applied for the Prediction of Mine Induced Seismicity in French Coalmines

The determination of the influence of mining works and the induced seismicity is essentially obtained, separately from in-situ observations and seismic analysis, field measurements (particularly surface survey) as well as from numerical investigations. The paper presents a methodology applied for the analysis of induced seismicity due to underground coalmines based on combining numerical modelling and seismic analysis. The methodology is based on the comparing between the observations, the seismic activity and the numerical modelling for establishing a close correlation between the location of seismic activity and the induced stresses. The paper presents two case studies using seismic and geotechnical investigations, the first one concerns a fatal accident affected lorraine coalmine (East France). The second case concerns the application of the methodology on Provence coalmines (South France). The application of the methodology shows such a coupling can be an efficient way for detecting areas subjected to rockburst hazard. This is also a powerful tool for assisting the planning of underground workings in complex geological and mining conditions. The coupling of geotechnical investigations (numerical modelling, in-situ stress measurements) and seismic analysis are strongly recommended.
