The insulin-like growth factor type 1 receptor(IGF-IR)belongs to the tyrosine kinase(TK)receptor *** being mitogenic,IGF-IR plays a crucial role in cell survival,transformation andmaintenance of the malignant *** this study,we cloned the cDNA from the hypothalamus of theorange-spotted grouper(Epinephelus coioides)using reverse transcription PCR(RT-PCR)and the rapidamplification of cDNA ends(RACE)*** deduced amino acid sequence showed that the receptorcomprises 1413 amino acid *** contains cysteine-rich domains in its α-subunit,and a conservedtransmembrane domain and TK domains in its β-*** of the amino acid sequence withthose of other species showed that the grouper IGF-IR shares 90.2%,89.6%,71.9% and 72% similaritywith the IGF-IR of the Japanese flounder,turbot,zebrafish-a and zebrafish-b,*** comparedwith its mammalian homologue,grouper IGF-IR contains a large insertion at its *** has revealed that the grouper IGF-IR belongs to the b-type IGF-IRs and has a higher similarity withflounder and turbot IGF-IR,and a lower similarity(<70%)with human,mouse and avian ***-IR transcripts were detected in the brain,peripheral tissues,embryos and early development larvae bysemi-quantitative RT-PCR *** was observed that IGF-IR mRNA expression was greater in the brainthan in peripheral *** level of IGF-IR mRNA expression was much higher in retina,gonad,skeletalmuscle and gill tissues than in liver,heart and thymus *** expression of IGF-IR can be visualizedas a ubiquitous signal in unfertilized eggs,embryos and early development *** distribution pattern ofIGF-IR mRNA in grouper development suggests that IGF-IR plays an important role in the embryo andearly larval development stages.

Macleaya cordata extract (MCE) is a potential replacement for antibiotics. In the current study, effects of MCE on the gastrointestinal health and humoral responses of host animals were explored. A total of 30 weanling goats with similar body weight of 9.15 +/- 1.36 kg were randomly allocated into three groups (n 1/4 10 per group): control group (CON group, fed with a basal diet), antibiotic group (Abx group, fed with the basal diet supplemented with 0.18 g/d vancomycin and 0.36 g/d neomycin), and MCE group (fed with the basal diet supplemented with 5 g/d MCE), for three weeks. Results showed that antibiotic addition decreased the height and area of rumen papillae, ruminal mucosa Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8), interleukin-8 (IL-8) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 beta ) gene relative expression levels and microbial diversity, altered the volatile fatty acid (VFA) profile in the rumen, and increased monocytes amount and CD4 & thorn; T cells percentage in the peripheral blood (P < 0.05) compared to CON group. MCE addition increased the average daily gain, ileal villus height, villus height/crypt depth, and immunoglobulin M (IgM) content in the peripheral blood (P < 0.05) compared to the CON. Additionally, MCE addition decreased the proportion of isobutyric acid in the chyme of the ileum (P 1/4 0.005) compared to the CON group. These results suggest that antibiotic supplementation may suppress the epithelial state and microbial diversity and fermentation in goats, but stimulate cellular response to maintain the growth performance of goats. MCE administration improved the epithelial state and humoral response to promote the growth performance in goats. (c) 2024 The Authors. In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) system,a time and frequency domain least mean square algorithm(TF-LMS) was proposed to cancel the frequency offset(FO).TF-LMS algorithm is composed of two ***,time domain least mean square(TD-LMS) scheme was selected to pre-cancel the frequency offset in the time domain,and then the interference induced by residual frequency offset was eliminated by the frequency domain mean square(FD-LMS) scheme in frequency *** results of bit error rate(BER) and quadrature phase shift keying(QPSK) constellation figures show that the performance of the proposed suppression algorithm is excellent.

The recently measured reaction cross section of 23Al is analysed in the Glauber model with an optical limit or few-body approach. It is found that the conventional fixed core-plus-nucleon model for halo nuclei is unable to explain the observed abnormally large reaction cross section of 23Al by any selection of the halo nucleon configurations. The reaction cross section of 23Al can be described when the core size is enlarged, although the Coulomb barrier largely hinders the formation of a halo structure for proton-rich nuclei. This is consistent with the case in s-d shell neutron-rich nuclei, where an enlarged core was proposed to explain both the reaction cross section and longitudinal momentum distribution data.

Leaf spot disease seriously affects the yield and quality of waxberry, but there is no registration agent for prevention and control of the disease. The field trials showed that the control efficacy of 33.5% oxine-copper SC against leaf spot disease on waxberry reached above 74% when used at the dosage of 167.5-223.3 mg/kg. 33.5% Oxine-copper SC could be used to control leaf spot disease on waxberry.

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by loss of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta. Tremor, rigidity, and bradykinesia are the major symptoms of the disease. These motor impairments are often accompanied by affective and emotional dysfunctions which have been largely studied over the last decade. The aim of this study was to investigate emotional processing organization in the brain of patients with Parkinson's disease and to explore whether there are differences between recognition of different types of emotions in Parkinson's disease. We examined 18 patients with Parkinson's disease(8 men, 10 women) with no history of neurological or psychiatric comorbidities. All these patients underwent identical brain blood oxygenation level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging for emotion evaluation. Blood oxygenation level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging results revealed that the occipito-temporal cortices, insula, orbitofrontal cortex, basal ganglia, and parietal cortex which are involved in emotion processing, were activated during the functional control. Additionally, positive emotions activate larger volumes of the same anatomical entities than neutral and negative emotions. Results also revealed that Parkinson's disease associated with emotional disorders are increasingly recognized as disabling as classic motor symptoms. These findings help clinical physicians to recognize the emotional dysfunction of patients with Parkinson's disease.
