Hematopoietic effect of small molecular fraction of Polygoni multiflori Radix Praeparata in cyclophosphamide-induced anemia mice

The aim of this study is to investigate the protective effects of a small molecular fraction(SMF) of Polygoni multiflori Radix Praeparata(PMRP) in a cyclophosphamide(CTX) induced anemia mouse model. Small molecular fraction of PMRP was prepared and identified by high-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(HPLC-Q-TOF-MS). In pharmacology, we examined the peripheral hemogram and thymus and spleen index. The content of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF) in serum was mensurated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA);The level of superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC), and malondialdehyde(MDA) in serum and spleen tissue homogenate were detected, and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX) was assayed in spleen. The results show that SMF can significantly accelerate the recovery of peripheral hemogram, increase the activity of antioxidant enzymes and GM-CSF in serum and spleen. SMF also increases the number of spleen cells, improves bone marrow pathology. In conclusion, the SMF of PMRP promoted the recovery of hematopoietic function in a CTX-induced anemia mouse, which can support SMF to be used as an adjunct to chemotherapy to counteract its side effects.

Hyperlipidemia constitutes a critical factor in the pathogenesis of vascular disease and gut microbiota dysbiosis. This study aims to investigate the role of sea buckthorn fruit oil (SBFO) in ameliorating hyperlipidemia， modulating gut microbiota， and elucidating the underlying mechanisms of its lipid-lowering effects. SBFO intervention in hyperlipidemic mice significantly reduced body weight and visceral adiposity index while mitigating symptoms associated with hyperlipidemia， including dyslipidemia， inflammation， liver damage， and endothelial dysfunction. Real-time quantitative PCR and western blot analyses revealed that SBFO enhanced the response of free fatty acid oxidation and breakdown (AMPKα， CPTa-1， PPARα， and PPARγ) while suppressing the synthesis of triglycerides and fatty acids (SREBP-1， FAS， and ACC) at the gene and protein expression levels. Moreover， SBFO intervention enriched the gut microbiota of hyperlipidemic mice by increasing the relative abundances of Lactobacillus， Faecalibaculum， and Allobaculum， while decreasing the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio. These findings suggest that SBFO exhibits promising therapeutic potential in attenuating hyperlipidemia in mice through the regulation of lipid metabolism and modulation of gut microbiota.

Piroctone olamine(OCT) was used as the main bacteriostatic component, the inhibition of OCT in different kinds and mass concentrations of surfactants were studied. Six surfactants commonly used in personal care products, i.e. sodium laureth sulfate(AES), cocamidopropyl betaine(CAB 35), sodium lauroyl sarcosinate(LS-30), sodium lauroyl glutamate(ULS-30S), alkyl glycoside(APG), cocamide methyl MEA(CMMEA),were used. The results showed that the bacteriostatic of OCT decreased with the increase of AES, which was suggested ≤ 5%. OCT has good bacteriostatic performance in the systems of amino acid surfactants and high dosage of amphoteric surfactants, 5% LS 30 and ≥ 10% CAB 35 was recommended. High dosage of nonionic surfactant could interfere the bacteriostatic performance of OCT, the recommended dosage was ≤ 2%.In addition, OCT has good bacteriostatic performance against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans when pH was controlled less than 5.5.

The effects of Scutellaria baicalensis, Panax notoginseng and Ilex rotunda on the viscosities of CMC and Xanthan gum were researched in this paper. Results showed that the viscosities of CMC decrease rapidly with Panax notoginseng;the viscosities of CMC decrease with Scutellaria baicalensis;the viscosities of CMC decrease slowly with Ilex rotunda. The viscosities of Xanthan gum are almost stable with Scutellaria baicalensis, Panax notoginseng and Ilex rotunda respectively;and the viscosities of Xanthan gum increase with the increase of the Scutellaria baicalensis concentration. There is a side chain on the molecular chain of Xanthan gum, which can form a rod-shaped double helix complex to protect the main chain. There is no side chain on the molecular chain of CMC, and the main chain is “bare”. So, compared to xanthan gum, the molecular chain of CMC is is more susceptible to external influences.

This paper has provided references for the evaluation of men’s facial skin cleanness and efficacy through the research on the cleanness of a men’s facial cleanser,the oil-controlling,moisturizing and brightening effects of a men’s skin lotion,and the people’s usage *** results showed that the skin grease and the liquid foundation could be effectively cleaned after using a facial *** using the lotion for 2 weeks,the oil content was significantly different from that before and in the blank group,showing a rapid oil control *** moisturizing effect could last until 4 *** was a significant difference in the change value of skin transdermal water loss rate,indicating that the skin barrier was improved to some *** was remarkable effect of skin glossiness after 4 weeks of continual use compared with the blank *** subjects’overall satisfaction with the skin after using the lotion was 86.7%through self-assessment.

Pentachloronitrobenzene(PCNB)is an organochlorine fungicide that is mainly used in the prevention and control of diseases in crop *** removal is used as a promising method for in-situ removal of many organic pesticides and pesticide residues.A short-term field experiment(1 year)was conducted to explore the potential role of a PCNB-degrading bacterial isolate,Cupriavidus ***-85,in the remediation of a PCNB-contaminated soil on which Panax notoginseng was *** following three treatments were used:i)control soil amended with wheat bran but without YNS-85,ii)soil with 0.15 kg m-2of solid bacterial inoculum(A),and iii)soil with 0.30 kg m-2of solid bacterial inoculum(B).The removal of soil PCNB during the microbial remediation was monitored using gas *** catalase and fluorescein diacetate(FDA)esterase activities were determined using *** addition,cultivable bacteria,fungi,and actinomycetes were counted by plating serial dilutions,and the microbial biodiversity of the soil was analyzed using *** 1 year of in-situ remediation,the soil PCNB concentrations decreased significantly by 50.3%and 74.2%in treatments A and B,respectively,when compared with the uninoculated *** soil catalase activity decreased in the presence of the bacterial isolate,the FDA esterase activity decreased in treatment A,but increased in treatment *** significant changes in plant biomass,diversity of the soil microbial community,or physicochemical properties of the soil were observed between the control and inoculated groups(Pcontaminated soils under ***.

Photoaging is an accelerating aging process of the skin due to prolonged exposure to UV from the Sun or other sources. Herbal extracts, natural compounds, and bioactive polypeptides have widely used in cosmetic agents for protection of the skin against photoaging. This mini review briefly summarizes topical use of selected most common medicinal herbs, naturopathic chemicals, and bioactive peptides examined for skin protection.

Objective:This study aimed to elucidate the possible mechanism of Gest-Aid Plus Oral Liquid(GAP)on healthcare ***:Ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry-based metabolomics and 16S rDNA sequencing of gut microbiota were performed on serum and fecal samples of GAP and control ***,short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)and inflammatory cytokines in fecal samples were determined through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ***:Metabolomics discovered 41 metabolites,which mainly involved amino acid metabolism,lipid metabolism,coenzyme factors,and vitamin *** of GAP increased abundance of Prevotella_9,Alloprevotella,Blautia,Phascolarctobacterium,Parabacteroides,and Fusicatenibacter,and six SCFAs were increased in the GAP *** of inflammatory cytokines showed that GAP had an anti-inflammatory effect in ***:Administration of GAP greatly affects the aspartate metabolism and microecology of rats,enhances intestinal motility and gut barrier integrity and *** findings not only have possible implications for further application of GAP,but also provide a link between the gut microbiome,SCFAs,inflammation and serum metabolites in rats.

A clinical study was conducted on the anti-aging effects of an emulsion containing carnosine and centella asiatica extract to provide a reference for the evaluation and development of anti-aging *** healthy females,aged 35~60,were divided into the test sample and placebo *** elasticity and wrinkles of the participants were analyzed before they used the emulsion and after they used it for 8 *** measurement results showed that after 8 weeks,skin elasticity and wrinkles in the members of the test sample group improved relative to those of the placebo *** effect assessment results showed that subjects did not experience adverse skin reactions,and their skin wrinkles showed ***-assessment results showed that the score of the total satisfaction of the test sample was 4.3,and 100%subjects are satisfied with the test *** containing carnosine and centella asiatica extract has a certain anti-aging effect.
