Electronic speckle pattern interferometry（ESPI） and digital speckle pattern interferometry are wellestablished non-contact measurement methods. They have been widely used to carry out precise deformation mapping. However, the simultaneous two-dimensional（2D） or three-dimensional（3D） deformation measurements using ESPI with phase shifting usually involve complicated and slow equipment. In this letter, we solve these issues by proposing a modified ESPI system based on double phase modulations with only one laser and one camera. In-plane normal and shear strains are obtained with good quality. This system can also be developed to measure 3D deformation, and it has the potential to carry out faster measurements with a highspeed camera.

Effect of Mo and Mo2 C on the microstructure and properties of Ti（C,n）-based cermets was investigated in this article. The results have indicated that the weight percentage of Mo from 5 to 10 can reduce Ti（C,n） grain diameter and thickness of the rim, and Ti（C,n） grain can be wetted by ni-Cu-Mo liquid so as to get small contiguity of Ti（C,n） grain. In that way, the transverse rupture strength of Ti（C,n）-based cermets has reached 1800-1900 MPa; the fracture toughness has been due to 16-18 MPa.m1/2. But 15 wt pct Mo was not more effective on Ti（C,n）-based cermets, because the thickness of the rim becomes larger. In the circumstance of Mo2 C, 5 wt pct Mo2 C was good for microstructure and properties of Ti（C,n）-based cermets, but 11 wt pct Mo2C has resulted in larger contiguity of Ti（C,n） grain and big Ti（C,n） grain diameter so as to reduce transverse rupture strength and fracture toughness. So that, the effect of Mo on Ti（C,n）-based cermets is better than Mo2C.

Infrared thermography technology is a noninvasiveness and real-time imaging method, it has attracted enormous attentions for blood flow imaging. However, the implementation of infrared thermography technology is still limited by the poor imaging quality caused by the low temperature discrimination between the target blood vessel and background. Herein, we reported a flexible and low-cost MXene based photothermal microheater for enhancing the infrared imaging of blood flow. In the experiment, MXene films with specific thickness was prepared by vacuum filtering different concentrations of MXene colloidal solutions. Thereafter, the microheaters were fabricated by assembling the MXene films on the PU tape/PDMS substrate, and then sealed with another layer of pure PDMS film on the top of MXene film. The photothermal performance of the microheaters were evaluated by using an 808-nm laser as the exciting source. Experimental results show that the optimal microheater（MXene content: 17.5 mg） can reach a safe temperature of 41.5°C with 43.9 s under the light irradiation of100 mW·cm-2. Moreover, it can be stabilized at the equilibrium temperate for over 25 min. Finally, the above optimal microheater was used to accurately heat the simulated blood vessel. It shows that temperature difference of 3.3°C can be induced between the heated blood vessel and environment. As a result, it significantly enhances the quality of the infrared imaging of the blood flow in the simulated vascular network.

A machine learning model for regression of interrupted Surface Electromyography(sEMG)signals to future control-oriented signals(e.g.,robot’s joint angle and assistive torque)of an active biomechatronic device for high-level myoelectric-based hierarchical control is proposed.A Recurrent neural network(Rnn)was trained using output data,initially obtained from offline optimization of the biomechatronic(human–robot)device and shifted by the prediction *** input of the Rnn consisted of interrupted sEMG signals(to mimic signal disconnections)and previous kinematic signals of the assistive *** Rnn with a 0.1-s prediction horizon could predict the control-oriented joint angle and assistive torque with 92%and 86.5%regression accuracy,respectively,for the test *** proposed approach permits a fast,predictive,and direct estimation of control-oriented signals instead of an iterative process that optimizes assistive torque in the inverse dynamic simulation of a multibody human–robot *** with these interrupted input signals significantly improves the regression accuracy in the case of sEMG signal *** Robust Predictive Control-oriented Machine learning(Robust-MusclenET)model can support volitional high-level myoelectric-based control of biomechatronic devices,such as exoskeletons,prostheses,and assistive/resistive *** work should study the application to prosthesis control as well as the repeatability of the high-level controller with electrode *** low-level hierarchical controller that manages the human–robot interaction,the assistance/resistance strategy,and the actuator coordination should also be studied.

Quantum channels in free-space,an essential prerequisite for fundamental tests of quantum mechanics and quantum technologies in open space,have so far been based on direct line-of-sight because the predominant approaches for photon-encoding,including polarization and spatial modes,are not compatible with randomly scattered *** we demonstrate a novel approach to transfer and recover quantum coherence from scattered,non-line-of-sight photons analyzed in a multimode and imaging interferometer for time-bins,combined with photon detection based on a 8×8 *** observed time-bin visibility for scattered photons remained at a high 95%over a wide scattering angle range of−45^(0) to+45^(0),while the individual pixels in the detector array resolve or track an image in its field of view of ca.0.5°.Using our method,we demonstrate the viability of two novel ***,using scattered photons as an indirect channel for quantum communication thereby enabling non-line-of-sight quantum communication with background suppression,and secondly,using the combined arrival time and quantum coherence to enhance the contrast of low-light imaging and laser ranging under high background *** believe our method will instigate new lines for research and development on applying photon coherence from scattered signals to quantum sensing,imaging,and communication in free-space environments.

Topical formulations, commonly applied for treatment of anterior eye diseases, require frequent administration due to rapid clearance from the ocular surface, typically through the lacrimal drainage system or through over-spillage onto the lids. We report on a mucoadhesive nanoparticle drug delivery system that may be used to prolong the precorneal residence time of encapsulated drugs. The nanoparticles were formed from self-assembly of block copolymers composed of poly（D, l-lactide） and Dextran. The enhanced mucoadhesion properties were achieved by surface functionalizing the nanoparticles with phenylboronic acid. The nanoparticles encapsulated up to 12 wt.% of Cyclosporine A （CycA） and sustained the release for up to five days at a clinically relevant dose, which led us to explore the therapeutic efficacy of the formulation with reduced administration frequency. By administering CycA-loaded nanoparticles to dry eye-induced mice once a week, inflammatory infiltrates were eliminated and the ocular surface completely recovered. The same once a week dosage of the nanoparticles also showed no signs of physical irritation or inflammatory responses in acute （1 week） and chronic （12 weeks） studies in healthy rabbit eyes. These findings indicate that the nanoparticles may significantly reduce the frequency of administration for effective treatment of anterior eye diseases without causing ocular irritation.

Resistive Switching Memory of TiO2 nanowire networks Grown on Ti Foil by a Single Hydrothermal Method

The resistive switching characteristics of TiO_2 nanowire networks directly grown on Ti foil by a single-step hydrothermal technique are discussed in this paper. The Ti foil serves as the supply of Ti atoms for growth of the TiO_2 nanowires, making the preparation straightforward. It also acts as a bottom electrode for the device. A top Al electrode was fabricated by e-beam evaporation process. The Al/TiO_2 nanowire networks/Ti device fabricated in this way displayed a highly repeatable and electroforming-free bipolar resistive behavior with retention for more than 10~4 s and an OFF/On ratio of approximately 70. The switching mechanism of this Al/TiO_2 nanowire networks/Ti device is suggested to arise from the migration of oxygen vacancies under applied electric field. This provides a facile way to obtain metal oxide nanowire-based Re RAM device in the future.
