The effect of preperitoneal pelvic packing for hemodynamically unstable patients with pelvic fractures

Purpose:Hemodynamically unstable patients with pelvic fractures still represent a challenge to trauma surgeons and have a very high *** study was designed to explore the effect of the interventions of direct preperitoneal pelvic packing for the hemodynamically unstable pelvic ***:This retrospective study enrolled 67 cases of severe pelvic fractures with unstable hemodynamics from October 2011 to December *** patients presented in our emergency center and received preperitoneal pelvic packing were included in this *** indication was persistent systolic blood pressure90 mmHg during initial resuscitation and after transfusion of two units of red blood *** with hemodynamic stability who need no preperitoneal pelvic packing to control bleeding were *** demographic characteristics,clinical features,laboratory results,therapeutic interventions,adverse events,and prognostic outcomes were collected from digital information system of electronic medical *** were described as mean±standard deviation or medium and analyzed using pair sample t-test or Mann-Whitney ***:The patients’average age was 41.6 years,ranging from 10 to 88 *** them,45 cases were male(67.2%)and 22 cases were female(32.8%).Significant difference was found regarding the systolic blood pressure(mmHg)in the emergency department(78.4±13.9)and after preperitoneal pelvic packing in the surgery intensive care unit(100.1±17.6)(p<0.05).Simultaneously,the arterial base deficit(mmol/L)were significantly lower in the surgery intensive care unit(median-6,interquartile range-8 to-2)than in the emergency department(median-10,interquartile range-14 to-8)(p<0.05).After preperitoneal pelvic packing,15 patients(22.4%)underwent pelvic angiography for persistent hypotension or suspected ongoing *** overall mortality rate was 29.5%(20 of 67).Conclusions:Preperitoneal pelvic packing,as a useful surgical technique,is less invasiv

Simultaneous Determination of Four Ingredients in Guanxin Danshen Tablets by RP-HPLC

[Objectives]This study aimed to establish a method for simultaneous determination of four ingredients in Guanxin Danshen tablets by RP-HPLC.[Methods]HPLC chromatography was adopted with column of Thermo Hypersil-Keystone C 18 column(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm),mobile phase of acetonitrile(A)-0.03 mol/L ammonium acetate(pH adjusted to 2.4 with formic acid)(B),gradient elution(0-5 min,5%A;5-10 min,5%A→19%A;10-40 min,19%A;40-68 min,19%A→36%A;68-90 min,36%A→95%A),flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and column temperature of 25℃.[Results]The content of salvianic acid A sodium,protocatechuic aldehyde,salvianolic acid B and tanshinone II A showed good linear relationship with chromatographic peak area in the range of 3.310-18.66,0.03950-0.2370,0.7500-4.500,0.05920-0.3550μg,*** recovery rate(n=6)was 101.75%,96.86%,104.15%and 99.03%,respectively,and the RSD was 1.52%,2.81%,1.80%,and 1.37%*** established method has good precision,reproducibility and stability.[Conclusions]This method can be used for the quality control of multiple ingredients of Guanxin Danshen tablets.

目的：通过对10例以牙痛为首发症状的过敏性紫癜患儿临床资料回顾,总结其临床特点及治疗经验,以期早发现早确诊。方法：对2010年1月~2015年12月于遵义医学院附属口腔医院儿童牙科就诊的10例根尖周炎并发过敏性紫癜患儿的临床资料进行分析。结果：10例全部接受牙体治疗,其中9例住院1次治愈出院,1例口腔内其余牙根尖周炎再发及入院2次。结论：过敏性紫癜可以牙痛为首发症状,但并未引起口腔科及多数儿科医生的警惕,导致误诊,因此打牢临床基本功,加强学科合作有利于早期发现及治疗。

traditional chinese medicine enhances absorption of lung lesions in corona virus disease 2019 patients

OBJECTIVE:To study the possible role of traditional chinese medicine(TCM)of Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici),Gancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae),Jinyinhua(Flos Lonicerae),and Lianqiao(Fructus Forsythiae Suspensae)in absorption of lung lesions in Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)***:A cohort of COVID-19 cases was *** hospitalization,chest computed tomographic(CT)scan and real time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)test were performed every three *** was held(Western medicine,WM vs WM plus TCM)on absorption of lung lesions,time interval from admission to negative test result of RT-PCR(ATN),and medical *** cox regression models were built to identify the possible prognostic factor of delayed absorption of lung ***:The medical expenditure(1163±379 vs1137±498,P=0.863)and ATN(13±4 vs 10±4,P=0.055)were comparable between cases treated with WM plus TCM and cases only received *** cox regression model showed that cases receiving extra TCM had lower risk of delayed absorption of lung lesions[Hazard ratio=0.24,95%confidence Interval(0.06,0.96),P=0.043].CONCLUSION:Compared to WM,the treatment of WM plus TCM facilitates the recovery of pulmonary infiltration on COVID-19 cases without significantly increasing medical expense.
