Purpose:The purpose of the current study was to develop and validate a sport-specific mindfulness measure,the Athlete Mindfulness Questionnaire(AMQ),through 5 related studies using 4 separate samples of Chinese *** AMQ is a 3-factor measure designed to assess mindfulness that reflects present-moment attention,awareness,and acceptance in a sport ***:In Study 1,an initial pool of items was generated based on previous literature,existing mindfulness scales,as well as interviews with and feedback from the athletes,coaches,and mindfulness *** support for the 3-factor structure of the AMQ was established via exploratory factor analysis in Study 2,and cross-validated through confirmatory factor analysis in Studies 3 and *** Study 5,a modified 3-factor AMQ with direct-worded acceptance items was examined in a fourth independent ***:Convergent and concurrent validities of the acceptance subscale failed to be established in Studies 3 and 4 which may be due to the inattention and confusion of the athletes whilst interpreting the reverse-worded items.A modified 16-item AMQ in Study 5 displayed satisfactory model fit and acceptable internal *** importantly,convergent and concurrent validities of the 16-item AMQ were ***3 subscales showed significant positive associations with mindfulness,flow,well-being,and positive affect and significant negative associations with experiential avoidance,burnout,and negative ***:The AMQ is a psychometrically sound measure of mindfulness in a sport *** importance of using direct-worded acceptance items is discussed.

This study quantitatively investigates the long-term dynamics of the association between natural disasters and the migration of agriculturists in historical China. Population pressure is also studied because migration is a population density-dependent phenomenon. This study has adopted correlation analysis, multivariate linear/Poisson regression analyses, and Granger causality analysis to verify the linkages of natural disaster-migration and population-migration in historical China by collecting updated datasets. This study is the first attempt to reveal that the duration effects of natural disasters on the migration of agriculturalists are short-term and almost instantaneous. Although the agrarian society has a low buffering capacity, the effects of natural disasters within a short-term scale could be relieved to some extent. However, population pressure can push migration on a long-term scale despite its limited forcefulness.

Fracture is the primary failure type for the UO2ceramic pellets,which are operated under irradiation and thermal processes,and physically confined by the *** this work,by combining closely coupled physical processes of heat conduction,heat transfer,and mechanical deformation with the cohesive phase field framework,we proposed a high-precision modeling of quasistatic cracking of three-dimensional （3D） UO2ceramic fuel pellets under high temperature and *** simulation results agree well with the experimental results,indicating that the proposed method has the potential to capture 3D crack modes in the interested time ***,we studied the relation of the 3D fracture patterns of fuel pellets with the peak power *** was found that the power level plays a critical role in determining the competition between radial and circumferential cracks,as well as transverse penetrating cracks.

Brain-derived neurotrophic factor is a crucial neurotrophic factor that plays a significant role in brain health. Although the vast majority of meta-analyses have confirmed that exercise interventions can increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents, the effects of specific types of exercise on brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels are still controversial. To address this issue, we used meta-analytic methods to quantitatively evaluate, analyze, and integrate relevant studies. Our goals were to formulate general conclusions regarding the use of exercise interventions, explore the physiological mechanisms by which exercise improves brain health and cognitive ability in children and adolescents, and provide a reliable foundation for follow-up research. We used the Pub Med, Web of Science, Science Direct, Springer, Wiley Online Library, Weipu, Wanfang, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases to search for randomized controlled trials examining the influences of exercise interventions on brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents. The extracted data were analyzed using Review Manager 5.3. According to the inclusion criteria, we assessed randomized controlled trials in which the samples were mainly children and adolescents, and the outcome indicators were measured before and after the intervention. We excluded animal experiments, studies that lacked a control group, and those that did not report quantitative results. The mean difference(MD;before versus after intervention) was used to evaluate the effect of exercise on brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents. Overall, 531 participants(60 children and 471 adolescents, 10.9–16.1 years) were included from 13 randomized controlled trials. Heterogeneity was evaluated using the Q statistic and I^(2) test provided by Review Manager software. The meta-analysis showed that there was no heterogeneity among the studies(P = 0.67,

We examined the neural correlates of the statistical learning of orthographic-semantic connections in Chinese adult *** event-related potentials(ERPs) were recorded while participants were exposed to a sequence of artificial logographic characters containing semantic radicals carrying low,moderate,or high levels of semantic *** behavioral results showed that the mean accuracy of participants’ recognition of previously exposed characters was 63.1% that was significantly above chance level(50%),indicating the statistical learning of the regularities of semantic *** ERP data revealed a temporal sequence of the neural process of statistical learning of orthographic-semantic connections,and different brain indexes were found to be associated with this processing,i.e.,a clear N170-P200-N400 *** N170,the larger negative amplitudes were evoked by the high and moderate consistency than the low *** P200,the mean amplitudes elicited by the moderate and low consistency were larger than the high *** contrast,a larger N400 amplitude was observed in the low than moderate and high consistency;and more negative amplitude was elicited by the moderate than high *** propose that the initial potential shifts(N170 and P200) may reflect orthographic or graphic form identification,while the later component(N400) may be associated with semantic information analysis.

In this paper,the energy levels of Yb^（3＋） ions in yttrium aluminum borate（YAB） crystal were calculated from a first-principles approach with an optimized defect structure obtained from the WIEN2 k package and a traditional fitting method using a more reliable computer *** calculated results were then compared with those obtained from a re-calculation using the values of parameters given by some previous *** types of likely mistakes in the previous researcher＇s paper,namely over fitting,incorrect use of irreducible representation,and errors in the calculations for the EPR parameters were clearly identified and effectively rectified in this *** electron paramagnetic resonance（EPR） parameters,which included g factors like g（//） and g⊥ and hyperfine structure constants A// and A⊥,were also calculated through the perturbation method and compared with some observed values available in *** was reasonable agreement found with the experimental values which lay between the values obtained from the first-principles calculation（g//=4.000 and g⊥=1.391;A//=1032 and A⊥=360 in 10^（-4） cm^（-1） for ^（171）Yb^（3＋）） and those from the fitting approach（g//=3.612 and g⊥=1.702;A//=867 and A⊥=470 in 10^（-4） cm^（-1） for ^（171）Yb^（3＋））.

Biomass conversion offers an efficient approach to alleviate the energy and environmental *** oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) has attracted tremendous attention in the latest few years for the mild synthesis conditions and high conversion efficiency to obtain 2,5-furan dicarboxylic acid(FDCA), but there still remain problems such as limited yield, short cycle life,and ambiguous reaction mechanism. Despite many reviews highlighting a variety of electrocatalysts for electrochemical oxidation of HMF, a detailed discussion of the structural modulation of catalyst and the underlying catalytic mechanism is still lacking. We herein provide a comprehensive summary of the recent development of electrochemical oxidation of HMF to FDCA, particularly focusing on the mechanism studies as well as the advanced strategies developed to regulate the structure and optimize the performance of the electrocatalysts, including heterointerface construction, defect engineering,single-atom engineering, and in situ reconstruction. Experimental characterization techniques and theoretical calculation methods for mechanism and active site studies are elaborated, and challenges and future directions of electrochemical oxidation of HMF are also prospected. This review will provide guidance for designing advanced catalysts and deepening the understanding of the reaction mechanism beneath electrochemical oxidation of HMF to FDCA.
