The media has reported several neonatal death events re-cently, and it is suspected that these events are related to improper vaccination. This is a deeply regrettable occur- rence. Regarding the current situation, we suggest relevant national departments lead and organize experts in areas of clinical medicine, epidemiology, disease control, legal medicine, pharmacy, bio-product research and development, quality control and other related fields to establish a joint investigation team to conduct an investigation quickly and independently to determine the causes as soon as possible to reassure the public. Currently, the public is focused on whether the vaccine is safe. Therefore, it should be first made clear whether the deaths were caused by vaccination. If so, what was the cause of death？ If not, the causes result-ing in death should be identified. These might be quite complex, therefore the investigation should be thorough and meticulous, involving vaccine production, quality inspec-tion, supervision, distribution, transportation, storage, vac- cination and other processes.

BACKGROUND: Acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP) in the third trimester or early postpartum period can lead to fatal liver damage. Its traditional therapy is not very effective in facilitating hepatic recovery. The safety and effect of plasma exchange (PE)in combination with continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT) (PE+CRRT) for AFLP still needs ***: Five AFLP patients with hepatic encephalopathy and renal failure were subjected to PE+CRRT in our department from 2007 to 2012. Their symptoms, physical signs and results were observed, and all relevant laboratory tests were compared before and after PE+***: All the 5 patients were well tolerated to the therapy. Four of them responded to the treatment and showed improvement in clinical symptoms/signs and laboratory results and they were cured and discharged home after the treatment One patient succeeded in bridging to transplantation for slowing down hepatic failure and its complications process after2 treatment sessions. Intensive care unit stay and hospital stay were 9.4 (range 5-18) and 25.0 days (range 11-42), ***: PE+CRRT is safe and effective and should be used immediately at the onset of hepatic encephalopathy and/or renal failure in patients with AFLP.

Objectives: Diabetes is one of the most life-threatening chronic metabolic disorders and is considered a global health problem due to its prevalence and incidence. In Morocco, several herbal preparations are utilized to treat this disease. For this reason, the current study aimed to identify and to collect data about the medicinal plants utilized in folk medicine for the treatment of diabetes in the Beni Mellal region of ***: An ethnobotanical survey was carried out among 400 herbalists, competent villagers and traditional healers from the Beni Mellal region through direct interviews using a semistructured ***: Forty-five medicinal plants belonging to 25 families were identified for their use in diabetes treatment. Interview results showed that the most frequently used plants were Olea europaea, Salvia officinalis, Allium sativum and Trigonella foenum-graecum, with a relative frequency of citation values of24.3%, 23.0%, 22.5% and 20.5%, respectively. Moreover, in this study, the Fabaceae family was the most commonly reported plant family, and the leaves and roots were the most commonly used parts, for the treatment of ***: The Beni Mellal region of Morocco has an important floristic biodiversity of plants used to treat diabetes in traditional medicinal practice. This result provides a good database for pharmacological screenings in the search for plant-based antidiabetic medications.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the optimal control problem for finite-dimensional bilinear systems and its application to a chemotherapy model. We characterize an opti- mal control that minimizes a quadratic cost functional in two cases of constrained admis- sible controls, then we give sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of such a control, and we derive useful algorithms for the computation of the optimal control. The established results are applied to a cancer chemotherapy bilinear model in order to simulate the opti- mal treatment protocol using two different approaches： one based on a limited instant toxicity, and the other on a limited cumulative toxicity along the therapy session.

The purpose of regenerative medicine is to restore or enhance the normal function of human cells, tissues, and organs. From a clinical point of view, the use of stem cells is more advantageous than differentiated cells because they can be collected more easily and in larger quantities, their proliferation capacity is more pronounced, they are more resistant in cell culture, their aging is delayed, they are able to form a number of cell lines, and they are able to promote vascularization of tissue carriers. The therapeutic use of stem cells for disease modification, immunomodulation, or regenerative purposes are undoubtedly encouraging, but most studies are still in their early stages, and the clinical results reported are not clear with regard to therapeutic efficacy and potential side effects. Uniform regulation of the clinical application of stem cells is also indispensable for this highly customizable, minimally invasive, individualized therapeutic method to become a successful and safe treatment alternative in many different autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders.

HENDL1.0/MG, a multi-group working library of the Hybrid Evaluated NuclearData Library, was home-developed by the FDS team of ASIPP (Institute of Plasma Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences) on the basis of several national data libraries. Enrichment of anammox biomass during mainstream wastewater treatment driven by achievement of partial denitrification through the addition of bio-carriers

Anammox is widely considered as the most cost-effective and sustainable process for nitrogen ***,how to achieve the enrichment of anammox biomass remains a challenge for its large-scale application,especially in mainstream wastewater *** this study,the feasibility of enrichment of anammox biomass was explored through the realization of partial denitrification and the addition of *** using ordinary activated sludge,a sequencing batch reactor(SBR)followed by an up-fow anaerobic sludge bed(UASB)was operated at 25±2℃ for 214 *** long-term operation was divided into five phases,in which SBR and UASB were started-up in Phases I and II,*** eliminating oxygen and adjusting the infow ratios in Phases III-V,advanced nitrogen removal was achieved with the effuent total nitrogen being 4.7 mg/L and the nitrogen removal efficiency being 90.5%in Phase *** in-situ and ex-situ activity tests demonstrated the occurrence of partial denitrification and ***,16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing analysis revealed that Candidatus Brocadia was enriched from below the detection limit to in biofilms(0.4%in SBR,2.2%in UASB)and the foc sludge(0.2%in SBR,1.3%in UASB),while Thauera was mainly detected in the foc sludge(8.1%in SBR,8.8%in UASB),which might play a key role in partial ***,this study provides a novel strategy to enrich anammox biomass driven by rapid achievement of partial denitrification through the addition of bio-carriers,which will improve large-scale application of anammox processes in mainstream wastewater treatment.

Support interaction of Pt/CeO2 and Pt/SiC catalysts prepared by nano platinum colloid deposition for CO oxidation

The interaction between Pt and its various supports can regulate the intrinsic electronic structure of Pt particles and their catalytic ***,Pt/CeO2 and Pt/SiC catalysts were successfully prepared via a facile Pt colloidal particle deposition method,and their catalytic performance in CO oxidation was ***,TEM,XPS and H2-TPR were used to identify the states of Pt particles on the support surface,as well as their effect on the performance of the *** of the Pt-O-Ce interaction is one of the factors controlling catalyst *** the oxidative treatment at low temperature,the Pt-O-Ce interaction plays an important role in improving the catalytic *** calcining at high temperature,enhanced Pt-O-Ce interaction results in the absence of metallic Pt0 on the support surface,as evidenced by the appearance of Pt2+*** is consistent with the XPS data of Pt/CeO2,and is the main reason behind the deactivation of the *** contrast,either no interaction is formed between Pt and SiC or Pt nanoparticles remain in the metallic Pt0 state on the SiC surface even after aging at 800℃in an oxidizing ***,the Pt/SiC shows better thermal stability than Pt/*** interaction between Pt and the active support may be concluded to be essential for CO oxidation at low temperature,but strong interactions may induce serious deactivation of catalytic activity.
