Growing evidence has demonstrated exercise as an effective way to promote cardiovascular health and protect against cardiovascular diseases However,the underlying mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise have yet to be *** exercise studies are widely used to investigate the key mechanisms of exercise-induced cardiovascular ***,standardized procedures and well-established evaluation indicators for animal exercise models are needed to guide researchers in carrying out effective,high-quality animal studies using exercise to prevent and treat cardiovascular *** our review,we present the commonly used animal exercise models in cardiovascular research and propose a set of standard procedures for exercise training,emphasizing the appropriate measurements and analysis in these chronic exercise *** also provide recommendations for optimal design of animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research,including the choice of exercise models,control of exercise protocols,exercise at different stages of disease,and other considerations,such as age,sex,and genetic *** hope that this position paper will promote basic research on exercise-induced cardiovascular protection and pave the way for successful translation of exercise studies from bench to bedside in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Alzheimer's disease(AD) is a progressive and degenerative neurological disease characterized by the deterioration of cognitive functions. While a definitive cure and optimal medication to impede disease progression are currently unavailable, a plethora of studies have highlighted the potential advantages of exercise rehabilitation for managing this condition. Those studies show that exercise rehabilitation can enhance cognitive function and improve the quality of life for individuals affected by AD. Therefore, exercise rehabilitation has been regarded as one of the most important strategies for managing patients with AD. Herein, we provide a comprehensive analysis of the currently available findings on exercise rehabilitation in patients with AD, with a focus on the exercise types which have shown efficacy when implemented alone or combined with other treatment methods, as well as the potential mechanisms underlying these positive effects. Specifically, we explain how exercise may improve the brain microenvironment and neuronal plasticity. In conclusion, exercise is a cost-effective intervention to enhance cognitive performance and improve quality of life in patients with mild to moderate cognitive dysfunction. Therefore, it can potentially become both a physical activity and a tailored intervention. This review may aid the development of more effective and individualized treatment strategies to address the challenges imposed by this debilitating disease, especially in low-and middle-income countries.

Construction of bio-functional Mg/HA composite layered coating for orthopedic application

Magnesium was considered as a revolutionary biodegradable implant material for orthopedic application. Concerning the weakness of intrinsic strength and corrosion behavior, a novel strategy of Mg/metal hybrid system was proposed for extension of orthopedic application, especially at load-bearing site. In this work, an Mg and HA composite layered coating was constructed on titanium by means of chemical conversion and vapor deposition. The HA transition interlayer was introduced to enhance the bonding between Mg film and Ti substrate. Compared with the bare Mg coating, the Mg/HA coating presented good interface bonding, which avoided the occurrence of Mg film peeling off from the substrate. The Mg/HA coating showed a uniform degradation and kept integrity after immersion of 14 d. The Mg ions release by degradation played a crucial role in osteopromotion and antibacterial effect. Incubation of MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts with the Mg/HA coating showed significant promotion on osteogenic differentiation according to ALP activity and Alizarin Red staining assays. Meanwhile the degradation of Mg exhibited strong suppression of bacteria proliferation. It was believed that this novel Mg/HA composite layered coating could be potentially applied in further development of bio-functional hybrid orthopedic implants.

Recently,phage display technology has been announced as the recipient of Nobel Prize in Chemistry *** display technique allows high affinity target-binding peptides to be selected from a complex mixture pool of billions of displayed peptides on phage in a combinatorial library and could be further enriched through the biopanning process;proving to be a powerful technique in the screening of peptide with high affinity and *** this review,we will first discuss the modifications in phage display techniques used to isolate various cancer-specific ligands by in situ,in vitro,in vivo,and ex vivo screening *** will then discuss prominent examples of solid tumor targeting-peptides;namely peptide targeting tumor vasculature,tumor microenvironment(TME)and overexpressed receptors on cancer cells identified through phage display *** will also discuss the current challenges and future outlook for targeting peptidebased therapeutics in the clinics.

Clinical Research on Intelligence Seven Needle Therapy Treated Infants with Brain Damage Syndrome

Objective： To assess whether the intelligence seven needle therapy administered in infants with perinatal brain damage syndrome （BDS） as early intervention would improve patients＇ neural development. Methods： A randomized controlled trial was conducted. Sixty-four infants with BDS were randomly assigned to two groups： the comprehensive group and the control group. Both groups received routine early intervention; in addition, the comprehensive group received intelligence seven needle therapy. Before and after treatment, the Bayley Scale of Infant Development （BSID）, Gesell Developmental Schedules, Gross Motor Function Measure （GMFM）, transcranial doppler ultrasound （TCD）, and cranial imaging examination were tested for contrast. Results： After treatment, the comprehensive group showed significant difference in the Mental Development Index （MDI） scores of BSID compared with the control group （P〈0.05）, however, no significant discrepancy in psychomotor development index （PDI, P〉0.05） was observed. The children＇s development quotients （DQ） of the comprehensive group exhibited a significant superiority in improving the social adaptation DQ of Gesell Developmental Schedules compared with the control group （P〈0.01）, as well as GMFM and linguistic and social intercourse （P〈0.05）. Again, no discrepancy in the fine movement DQ was found （P〉0.05）. The total scores of GMFM in the comprehensive group were higher than those in the control group （P〈0.05）. Comparing the two groups, the comprehensive group showed a significantly greater recovery rate than the control group on TCD after treatment （P〈0.05）. After 6-month follow-up, some recovery in both groups, specifically on broadening of brain outside space by cranial imaging examination were observed. The comprehensive group demonstrated a significantly greater recovery rate than the control group （P〈0.05）.
