Background: The clinical characteristics of patients with the comorbidities of hypertension and coronary artery disease (HT-CAD) and atrial fibrillation (AF) are largely unknown. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of AF in patients with HT-CAD and clinical characteristics of patients with both HT-CAD and AF. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in chinese people.s liberation army General Hospital in Beijing, China, and included 20,747 inpatients with HT-CAD with or without AF from August 2008 to July 2018. We examined the overall prevalence, clinical characteristics, comorbidity profiles, treatment patterns, and blood pressure (BP) control of patients with both HT-CAD and AF. Multivariate logistic regression was used to investigate the associations of cardiovascular risk factors with AF in patients with HT-CAD. Results: The overall prevalence of AF in patients with HT-CAD was 4.87% (1011/20,747), and this increased with age;to be specific, the prevalence in women and men increased from 0.78% (2/255) and 1.02% (26/2561) at the age of s to 8.73% (193/2210) and 10.28 % (298/2900) at the age of ≥70 years, respectively. HT-CAD patients who had AF had a higher prevalence of cardiovascular-related comorbidities than those without AF. Multivariate logistic regression showed that age, gender (male), body mass index, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease were independently associated with the risk of AF in patients with HT-CAD. For those with both HT-CAD and AF, 73.49% (743/1011) had a CHA 2 Ds 2 -VAsc score of ≥4, and only about half of them had the BP controlled at sk of thromboembolism and stroke. BACKGROUND The multidisciplinary team(MDT)has been carried out in many large hospitals ***,given the costs of time and money and with little strong evidence of MDT effectiveness being reported,critiques of MDTs *** To evaluate the effects of MDTs on patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases and share our opinion on management of synchronous colorectal liver *** In this study we collected clinical data of patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases from February 2014 to February 2017 in the chinese people.s liberation army General Hospital and subsequently divided them into an MDT+group and an *** total,93 patients in MDT+group and 169 patients in MDT-group were included *** statistical increases in the rate of chest computed tomography examination(P=0.001),abdomen magnetic resonance imaging examination(P=0.000),and preoperative image staging(P=0.0000)were observed in patients in MDT+***,the proportion of patients receiving chemotherapy(P=0.019)and curative resection(P=0.042)was also higher in MDT+*** analysis showed that the population of patients assessed by MDT meetings had higher 1-year[hazard ratio(HR)=0.608,95%confidence interval(CI):0.398-0.931,P=0.022]and 5-year(HR=0.694,95%CI:0.515-0.937,P=0.017)overall *** These results proved that MDT management did bring patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases more opportunities for comprehensive examination and treatment,resulting in better outcomes.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) screening is effective in reducing CRC incidence and mortality. The aim of this study was to retrospectively determine and compare the detection rate of adenomas, advanced adenomas (AAs) and CRCs, and the number needed to screen (NNs) of individuals in an average-risk chinese population of different ages and genders. Methods: This was a retrospective study performed at the Institute of Health Management, chinese people.s liberation army General Hospital. Colonoscopy results were analyzed for 53,152 individuals finally enrolled from January 2013 to December 2019. The detection rate of adenomas, AAs, or CRCs was computed and the characteristics between men and women were compared using chi-squared test. Results: The average age was 48.8 years (standard deviation [sD], 8.5 years) for men and 50.0 years (sD, 9.0 years) for women, and the gender rate was 66.27% (35,226) vs . 33.73% (17,926). The detection rates of adenomas, AAs, serrated adenomas, and CRCs were 14.58% (7750), 3.09% (1641), 1.23% (653), and 0.59% (313), respectively. Men were statistically significantly associated with higher detection rates than women in adenomas (17.20% [6058/35,226], 95% confidence interval [CI] 16.74-17.53% vs . 9.44% [1692/17,926], 95% CI 8.94-9.79%, P s (3.72% [1309], 95% CI 3.47-3.87% vs . 1.85% [332], 95% CI 1.61-2.00%, P serrated adenomas (1.56% [548], 95% CI 1.43-1.69% vs . 0.59% [105], 95% CI 0.47-0.70%, P s in individuals aged 45 to 49 years was 3.17% (270/8510, 95% CI 2.80-3.55%) in men and 1.69% (69/4091, 95% CI 1.12-1.86%) in women, and their NNs was 31.55 (95% CI 28.17-35.71) in men and 67.11 (95% CI 53.76-89.29) in women.
