One of the main purposes for which people use Twitter is to share emotions with others. Users can easily post a message as a short text when they experience emotions such as pleasure or sadness. Such tweet serves to acquire empathy from followers, and can possibly influence others＇ emotions. In this study, we analyze the influence of emotional behaviors to user relationships based on Twitter data using two dictionaries of emotional words. Emotion scores are calculated via keyword matching. Moreover, we design three experiments with different settings： calculate the average emotion score of a user with random sampling, calculate the average emotion score using all emotional tweets, and calculate the average emotion score using emotional tweets, excluding users of few emotional tweets. We evaluate the influence of emotional behaviors to user relationships through the Brunner-Munzel test. The result shows that a positive user is more active than a negative user in constructing user relationships in a specific condition.

Loess magnetic properties in the Ili Basin and their correlation with the Chinese Loess Plateau

Over the past two decades, magnetoclimatological studies of loess-paleosol sequences in the Chinese Loess Plateau (CLP) have made outstanding achievements, which greatly promote the understanding of East Asian paleomonsoon evolution, inland aridification of Asia, and past global climate changes. Loess magnetic properties of the CLP have been well studied. In contrast, loess magnetic properties from outside the CLP in China have not been fully understood. We have little knowledge about the magnetic properties of loess in the Ili Basin, an intermontane depression of the Tianshan (or Tien Shan) Mountains. Here, we present the results of rock magnetic measurements of the Ili loess including mass magnetic susceptibility (χ) and anhysteretic remanent magnetization (ARM), high/low temperature dependence of susceptibility (TDS) and hysteresis, as well as X-ray diffraction (XRD) for mineral analysis. Based on the comparison with loess-paleosol sequences in the CLP (hereafter referred to as the Chinese loess), we discuss the possible magnetic susceptibility enhancement mechanism of the Ili loess. The results show that 1) the total magnetic mineral concentration of the Ili loess is far lower than that of the Chinese loess, though they have similar magnetic mineral compositions. The ferrimagnetic minerals in the Ili loess are magnetite and maghemite, and the antiferromagnetic mineral is hematite; XRD analysis also identifies the presence of ilmenite. The ratio of maghemite is lower in the Ili loess than in the Chinese loess, but the ratios of magnetite and hematite are higher in the Ili loess than in the Chinese loess. 2) The granularity of magnetic minerals in the Ili loess, dominated by pseudo-single domain (PSD) and multi-domain (MD) grains, is generally much coarser than that of the Chinese loess. Street-level health bureaucrats have actively contributed to implementing the COVID-19 prevention,control,and treatment policies of the Myanmar ***,the need for bureaucrats on the frontlines of policy implementation to maintain a safe distance from others to prevent the spread of COVID-19 has posed challenges for the sharing and exchange of information related to health *** this context,this study examined what health risk communication patterns have emerged and developed among streetlevel health bureaucrats during the COVID-19 pandemic,and how this risk communication has been affected by streetlevel health bureaucrats'perceptions of client meaningfulness and willingness to implement COVID-19 *** results reveal that street-level health bureaucrats in the health risk communication network are embedded in reciprocally or transitively connected discussion relationships that sustain their health risk communication over ***,when specific healthcare staffmembers perceive more benefits of COVID-19 policies for their patients and are more willing to care for patients,other healthcare staffavoid them to protect themselves from COVID-19 *** to their higher level of understanding of the adopted measures,healthcare staffmembers who are highly willing to implement COVID-19 policies are frequently approached by other staffmembers to communicate about COVID-19 *** study empirically contributes to the literature on street-level bureaucrats in times of pandemic crisis by examining the formation of health risk communications in the context of street-level health bureaucrats'responses to and participation in public healthcare policy implementation processes.

Comparison of the effects of cold water and ice ingestion on endurance cycling capacity in the heat

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of pre-cooling and fluid replacement with either crushed ice or cold ***: On 2 separate occasions, in a counterbalanced order, 9 recreationally-trained males ingested 1.25 g/kg(80–100 g) of either crushed ice(0.5℃)or cold water(4℃) every 5 min for 30 min before exercise. They also ingested 2.0 g/kg(130–160 g) of the same treatment drink at 15 min, 30 min, and45 min after the commencement of cycling to exhaustion at 60%VO_(2max) until voluntary exhaustion in a hot environment(35℃ and 30% relative humidity).Results: The cycling time to exhaustion in the crushed ice trial(50.0 ± 12.2 min) was longer than the cold water trial(42.2 ± 10.1 min; p = 0.02).Although the rectal temperature fell by 0.37℃± 0.03℃(p = 0.01) at the end of the resting period after the crushed ice ingestion, the rates of rise in rectal temperature during the exercise period were not significantly different between these 2 conditions(crushed ice: 0.23℃± 0.07℃, 5 min;cold water: 0.22℃± 0.07℃, 5 min; p = 0.94).Conclusion: Crushed ice ingestion before and during exercise in a hot environment may be a preferred and effective approach for minimizing thermal strain, and for improving endurance performance as compared with cold water ingestion.

Development and characterization of 43 microsatellite markers for the critically endangered primrose Primula reinii using MiSeq sequencing

Primula reinii(Primulaceae), a perennial herb belonging to the Primula section Reinii, occurs on wet,shaded rocky cliffs in the mountains of Japan. This threatened species comprises four varieties; these plants are very localized and rare in the wild. In this study, 43 microsatellite markers were developed using MiSeq sequencing to facilitate conservation genetics of these critically endangered primroses. We developed novel microsatellite markers for three varieties of P. reinii, and tested its polymorphism and genetic diversity using natural populations. These novel markers displayed relatively high polymorphism; the number of alleles and expected heterozygosities ranged from 2 to 6(mean = 3.2) and 0.13 to 0.82(mean = 0.45), respectively. All loci were in Hardye Weinberg equilibrium. These microsatellite markers will be powerful tools to assess P. reinii genetic diversity and develop effective conservation and management strategies.

Peripheral nerves act like networks of “wires” that conduct signals from the brain and spinal cord to organs throughout the body. Damage to these nerves leads to numbness, pain, and weakness that eventually reduces the patient’s quality of life. Fortunately, peripheral nerves have a high regenerative capacity and, in most cases, recover from mild disorders and injuries. However, there have been continuous challenges facing the development of treatments for peripheral nerve conditions such as disorders that occur through chronic mechanical stimulation like carpal tunnel syndrome, disorders due to side effects from drugs and intractable diseases like chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.

AIM:To clarify the computed tomography(CT) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) characteristics of lipid-rich pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors(Pan NETs).METHODS:Enhanced CT and MRI performed before pancreatectomy in 29 patients with 34 histologicallyconfirmed Pan NETs was retrospectively reviewed. Tumor attenuation on CT and signal intensities on conventional(T1- and T2-weighted) and chemical shift MRI were qualitatively analyzed and compared alongside adipose differentiation-related protein(ADRP) immunostaining(ADRP-positive:lipid-rich; ADRP-negative:non-lipid-rich) results using Fisher's exact test or the Mann-Whitney U test. Signal intensity index on chemical shift MRI was quantitatively ***:There were 15 lipid-rich Pan NETs(44.1%) in 12 patients(41.4%). Tumor attenuation during the early,portal venous,and delayed phases of enhanced CT(P = 0.888,0.443,and 0.359,respectively) and signal intensities on conventional MRI(P = 0.698 and 0.798,respectively) were not significantly differentbetween lipid-rich and non-lipid-rich Pan NETs. Four of the 15 lipid-rich Pan NETs exhibited high signal intensity on subtraction chemical shift MRI,and the association of high signal intensity on subtraction imaging with lipid-rich Pan NETs was significant(4 of 15 lipid-rich Pan NETs,26.73%,vs 0 of 19 non-lipid-rich Pan NETs,0%,P = 0.029). Lipid-rich Pan NETs showed a significantly higher signal intensity index than non-lipidrich Pan NETs(0.6% ± 14.1% vs-10.4% ± 14.4%,P = 0.004). Eight of 15 lipid-rich Pan NETs,vs 0 of 19 nonlipid-rich Pan NETs,had positive signal intensity index values in concordance with lipid contents.C O N C L U S I O N :C T c o n t ra s t e n h a n c e m e n t a n d conventional MR signal intensities are similar in lipidrich and non-lipid-rich Pan NETs. Chemical shift MRI can demonstrate cytoplasmic lipids in Pan NETs.
