The present paper is concerned with the investigation of disturbances in＇a homogeneous, isotropic elastic medium with generalized thermoelastic diffusion, when a moving source is acting along one of the co-ordinate axis on the boundary of the medium. Eigen value approach is applied to study the disturbance in Laplace-Fourier transform domain for a two dimensional problem. The analytical expressions for displacement components, stresses, temperature field, concentration and chemical potential are obtained in the physical domain by using a numerical technique for the inversion of Laplace transform based on Fourier expansion techniques. These expressions are calculated numerically for a copper like material and depicted graphically. As special cases, the results in generalized thermoelastic and elastic media are obtained. Effect of presence of diffusion is analyzed theoretically and numerically.

Biodiversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal （AM） colonization and AM fungal spores were studied in the roots and rhizosphere soils of ,4cacia catechu （L.f）. Wild., A. mangium Willd, Anthocephala cadamba Miq., Artocarpus chaplasha Roxb., Chickrassia tabularis A. Juss., Swie- tenia macrophylla King., Tectona grandis L. from plantations; Albizia procera （Roxb.） Benth., ,4. falcataria L., Alstonia scholaris （L.） R. Br., ,4phanamixis polystachya （Wall.） Parker., Hydnocarpus kurzii （King.） Warb., Heynea trijuga Roxb., Lagerstroemia speciosa （L.） Pers., Messua ferrea Linn., Podocarpus nerifolia Don., Swintonia floribunda Griff., Syzygiumfruticosum （Roxb.） DC., S. grandis （Wt.） Wal. from forest and nursery seedlings of A. polystachya, A. chaplasha, Gmelina arborea Roxb. and S. cuminii （L.） Skeels from Hazarikhil forest, Chittagong of Bangladesh. Roots were stained in aniline blue and rhiz0sphere soils were assessed by wet sieving and decanting methods. The range of AM colonization varied significantly from 10%-73% in the plantations sam- ples. Maximum colonization was observed in A. mangium （73%） and minimum colonization was observed in C. tabularis （10%）. Vesicular colonization was recorded 15%-67% in five plantation tree species. The highest was in A. cadamba （67%） and the lowest was in T. grandis; A. chaplasha and C. tabularis showed no vesicular colonization. Arbuscular colonization was recorded 12%-60% in four plantation tree species. The highest was in .4. mangium （60%） and the lowest was in A. cadamba. Roots of Artocarpus chaplasha, C. tabularis and T. grandis showed no arbuscular colonization. Among 12 forest tree species, nine tree species showed AM colonization. The highest was in A. falcataria （62%） and the lowest was in S. fruticosum （10%）. Significant variation in vesicular colonization was recorded in seven forest tree species. Latitudinal Distribution of Solar Flares and Their Association with Coronal Mass Ejections

Major solar flare events have been utilised to study the latitudinal frequency distribution of solar flares in northern and southern hemispheres for the period of 1986 to 2003. A statistical analysis has been performed to obtain the correlation between Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and Forbush decrease (Fds) of cosmic ray intensity. Almost the same flares distribution in both hemispheres is found in association with CMEs. In a further analysis, it is noted that a larger number of CME-associated solar flares located in the northern hemisphere are found to be more effective in producing Forbush decreases.

Objective:To explore the effect of Cassia fistula on collagenⅡ-induced arthritis in ***:The effect of 250 and 500 mg/kg chloroform and hydroalcoholic extract of Cassia fistula leaf on collagenⅡ-induced arthritis was investigated by evaluating paw volume,arthritis index,spleen index,and biochemical *** analysis and docking study were also ***:A dose-dependent reduction in paw volume,arthritic index,and spleen index was observed following oral administration of the chloroform and hydroalcoholic *** with Cassia fistula extracts reduced tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,prostaglandin E_(2),aspartate aminotransferase,alanine aminotransferase,total leucocyte count,and erythrocyte sedimentation rate while increasing IL-10 *** addition,Cassia fistula extracts improved joint architecture,and prevented cartilage and bone *** analysis demonstrated that the physcion,1-octacosanol,5,3’,4’-trihydroxy-6-methoxy-7-O-α-Lrhamnopyranosyl-(1,2)-O-β-D-galactopyranoside and scopoletin may be responsible for the anti-arthritic effect of Cassia ***:Cassia fistula suppresses the progression of collagenⅡ-induced arthritis by lowering the inflammatory factors,decreasing paw volume and arthritic index,and alleviating joint ***,further studies are required to confirm the bioactive molecule responsible for the anti-arthritic potential of Cassia fistula.

The aim of this paper is to prove some common fixed point theorems for finite number of discontinuous,noncompatible mappings on noncomplete fuzzy metric spaces. We improve extend and generalize several fixed point theorems on metric spaces,uniform spaces and fuzzy metric *** also give formulas for total number of commutativity conditions for finite number of mappings.

Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) is a chronic gastrointestinal disorder, common in clinic and in the community. It has a significant impact on both society and patients' quality of life. The epidemiology, clinical presentation, and management of IBS may vary in different geographical regions due to differences in diet, gastrointestinal infection, socio-cultural and psychosocial factors, religious and illness beliefs, symptom perception and reporting. Although previous reviews and consensus reports on IBS in Asia have been published, Asia is quite diverse socio-demographically. In this context, India, Bangladesh and Malaysia share some similarities, including:(1) large proportion of the population living in rural areas;(2) rapid development and associated lifestyle changes in urban areas; and(3) dietary, cultural and religious practices. The present review explores the clinical and epidemiological data on IBS from these three major nations in South and South-East Asia. In-depth review of the literature revealed important differences between IBS in the East, as revealed by studies from these three countries, and the West; these include a predominantly rural profile, differences in bowel habit and symptom profile, raising concern with regards to diagnostic criteria and subtyping of IBS, higher dietary fiber consumption, frequent lactose malabsorption, parasitosis, and possible overlap between post-infectious IBS and tropical sprue. Moreover, the current perception on difference in prevalence of the disorder in these countries, as compared to the West, might be related to variation in survey methods.

BACTERIAL TRANSLOCATION AND MULTIPLE SYSTEM ORGAN FAILURE IN BOWEL ISCHEMIA AND REPERFUSION

Portal circulation was reduced to 50-60% for one hour by partial occlusion of the superior mesenteric artery for the purpose of studying the relationship between reperfusion injury, bacterial translocation and multiple system organ failure. Forty dogs were divided randomly into four groups, and 1×10/kg E. coli OBwere fed to each animal 12 hours before operation. Group Ⅰ constituted the controls, in which sham operations were performed. The experimental procedure was completed in all the animals of the other three groups. Rubia yunnanensis, an anti-oxidant, was given to group Ⅲ. Amikacin was given to group Ⅳ. The results showed that group Ⅱ was characterized by bacteremia, hypoxemia, and hypotension as compared with group Ⅰ. The levels of superoxide dismutase （SOD） in the whole blood were markedly lowered and malondialdehyde （MDA） values significantly elevated in group Ⅱ after reperfusion compared with group Ⅰ. Plasma levels of anaphylatoxin Cand B（TXB） were significantly raised in group Ⅱ beginning with the reperfusion when compared with groups Ⅰ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ. Pathological changes in the intestine, liver and lung were remarkable only in group Ⅱ, including acute necrosis of the intestinal mucosa, granulocyte infiltration, hemorrhage and edema of the lung, degenerative changes of myocardial and hepatic cells, and bacterial invasion of the blood, liver and lung. These results suggested that bowel isehemia and reperfusion may promote gut barrier failure and bacterial translocation, then contribute to the development to multiple system organ failure （MSOF） by allowing bacteria or endotoxin normally contained within the gut to reach the portal and systemic circulations where it fuels the septic process. Oxygen free radicals, anaphylatoxin and thromboxane may be potential factors in the development of gut barrier failure and MSOF.
