Heart failure(HF)is a highly morbid syndrome that seriously affects the physical and mental health of patients and generates an enormous socio-economic *** addition to cardiac myocyte oxidative stress and apoptosis,which are considered mechanisms for the development of HF,alterations in cardiac energy metabolism and pathological autophagy also contribute to cardiac abnormalities and ultimately *** information regulator 1(Sirt1)and adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)are nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)-dependent deacetylases and phosphorylated kinases,*** play similar roles in regulating some pathological processes of the heart through regulating targets such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptorγcoactivator 1α(PGC-1α),protein 38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p38 MAPK),peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors(PPARs),and mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR).We summarized the synergistic effects of Sirt1 and AMPK in the heart,and listed the traditional chinese medicine(TCM)that exhibit cardioprotective properties by modulating the Sirt1/AMPK pathway,to provide a basis for the development of Sirt1/AMPK activators or inhibitors for the treatment of HF and other cardiovascular diseases(CVDs).

As a common clinical disease, fracture is often accompanied by pain, swelling, bleeding as well as other symptoms and has a high disability rate, even threatening life, seriously endangering patients’ physical and psychological health and quality of life. Medical practitioners take many strategies for the treatment of fracture healing, including traditional chinese medicine(TCM). In the early stage of fracture healing,the local fracture is often in a state of hypoxia, accompanied by the expression of hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α), which is beneficial to wound healing. Through literature mining, we thought that hypoxia, HIF-1α and downstream factors affected the mechanism of fracture healing, as well as dominated this process. Therefore, we reviewed the local characteristics and related signaling pathways involved in the fracture healing process and summarized the intervention of TCM on these mechanisms,in order to inspirit the new strategy for fracture healing, as well as elaborate on the possible principles of TCM in treating fractures based on the HIF molecular mechanism.

Research on the Orientated Effective Components of Huangqi in Huangqi Jianzhong Tang Against Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Based on Multi-Spectrum–Effect Correlation

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the orientated effective components of Astragali Radix Huangqi(HQ) in HQ Jianzhong Tang(HQJZ), a classical formula of traditional chinese medicine(TCM) used for treating chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG), using HQ as a monarch medicine. Materials and Methods: The spectra of HQJZ containing different polar parts of HQ were obtained using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-Q-Exactive mass spectrometry. Furthermore, the efficacy of HQJZ, which contains different polar parts of HQ, in treating rats with CAG was evaluated using traditional pharmacodynamic and nuclear magnetic resonance-based metabonomics. Grey relation analysis and partial least squares analysis were applied to analyze the spectrum–effect relationship and to screen out the orientated effective components related to HQ in the treatment of CAG. Results: Spectrum–effect relationship analysis showed that 24 compounds identified from the fingerprint spectrum were strongly correlated with efficacy. Compounds 8(calycosin-7-O-glc-6”-O-acetate), 9(3-hydroxy-9, 10-dimethoxyptercarpan), and 22(astragaloside II) were ranked among the top three. Conclusions: This study showed that integrating metabolomics and spectrum–effect relationship analysis is a powerful tool for obtaining orientated effective components of chinese medicine in a given TCM formula.

Scraping therapy for knee osteoarthritis: a systematic review and Meta-analysis

OBJECTIVE:To systematically evaluate the efficacy of scraping therapy on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS:A computerized search was conducted in several databases,including PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database,Wanfang,and chinese BioMedical Literature Database,from the establishment date of these databases to April 9,*** controlled trials(RCTs)on scraping therapy for KOA were collected in accordance with the“Participants-Intervention-Control-Outcome-Study design”*** methodological evaluation of the included studies was carried out using RoB 2.0,and Meta-analysis was conducted using *** Grades of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE System)was applied to grade the quality of ***:A total of 12 RCTs with 997 subjects were included in the *** indicated that compared with the control group,the scraping therapy treatment group exhibited increased Lysholm scores[mean difference(MD)=4.96,95%confidence intervals(CI)(3.18,6.74),Phospital for Special Surgery scores[MD=8.35,95%CI(3.92,12.78),P=0.0002]and decreased visual analog scale scores[MD=-2.11,95%CI(-3.79,-0.44),P=0.01]and Western Ontario and McM aster University Osteoarthritis Index scores[MD=-6.77,95%CI(-8.99,-4.56),P<0.00001)].The quality of evidence obtained in this Meta-analysis was low according to the GRADE ***:The available evidence suggests that scraping therapy may have certain clinical efficacy in the treatment of ***,further high-quality RCTs are needed to confirm the findings.
