A magnetically insulated transmission line （MITL） is used to transmit high power electric pulses in large pulse power systems. However, current loss is unavoidable, especially when the current density is up to 1 MA/cm. In the paper, the current loss of an MITL made of stainless steel, which is usually used in large pulse power generators, is experimentally studied, and possible mechanisms to explain the current loss of the MITL are analyzed and discussed. From the experimental results, the relationship between loss current density and input current density follows approximately a power law. The loss is also related to the configuration of the MITL.

Three types of activators such as sodium hydroxide,calcium oxide and triethanolamine(TEA)are used to establish different activation environments to address the problems associated with the process of activating fly ash *** conducted mechanical tests and numerical simulations to understand the evolution of microstructure,and used environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)techniques to analyze the microenvironments of the *** mechanical properties of fly ash paste under different activation conditions and the changes in the microstructure and composition were *** results revealed that under conditions of low NaOH content(1%-3%),the strength of the sample increased *** the content exceeded 4%,the rate of increase in strength *** on the results,the optimal NaOH content was identified,which was about 4%.A good activation effect,especially for short-term activation(3-7 d),was achieved using TEA under high doping *** activation effect was poor for long-term strength after 28 *** CaO content did not significantly affect the degree of activation *** maximum effect was exerted when the content of CaO was 2%.The virtual cement and concrete testing laboratory(VCCTL)was used to simulate the hydration process,and the results revealed that the use of the three types of activators accelerated the formation of Ca(OH)_(2) in the *** activators also corroded the surface of the fly ash particles,resulting in a pozzolanic *** active substances in fly ash were released efficiently,and hydration was *** pores were filled with hydration products,and the microstructure changed to form a new frame of paste filling that helped improve the strength of fly ash paste.

Simultaneously realizing improved activity and stability of acidic oxygen evolution reaction(OER) electrocatalysts is highly promising for developing cost-effective sustainable energy in the splitting of water ***,we report iridium nanocrystals embedded into 3D conductive clothes(Ir-NCT/CC) as a low iridium electrocatalyst realizing ultrahigh acidic OER activity and robust *** well-designed Ir-NCT/CC requires a low overpotential of 202 mV to reach the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)with a high mass activity of 1754 A g^(-1).Importantly,in acidic overall water splitting,Ir-NCT/CC merely delivers a cell voltage of 1.469 V at a typical current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)and also maintains robust durability under continuous *** identify that a low working voltage drives the formation of a highly stable amorphous IrOxactive phase over the surface of Ir nanocrystals(surface heterojunction IrOx/Ir-NCT) during operating conditions,which contributes to an effective and durable OER process.

With respect to the gamma spectrum, the energy resolution improves with increase in energy. The counts of full energy peak change with energy, and this approximately complies with the Gaussian distribution. This study mainly examines a method to deconvolve the LaBr_3:Ce gamma spectrum with a detector response matrix constructing algorithm based on energy resolution *** the algorithm, the full width at half maximum(FWHM)of full energy peak was calculated by the cubic spline interpolation algorithm and calibrated by a square root of a quadratic function that changes with the energy. Additionally, the detector response matrix was constructed to deconvolve the gamma spectrum. Furthermore, an improved SNIP algorithm was proposed to eliminate the background. In the experiment, several independent peaks of ^(152)Eu,^(137)Cs, and ^(60)Co sources were detected by a LaBr_3:Ce scintillator that were selected to calibrate the energy resolution. The Boosted Gold algorithm was applied to deconvolve the gamma spectrum. The results showed that the peak position difference between the experiment and the deconvolution was within ± 2 channels and the relative error of peak area was approximately within 0.96–6.74%. Finally, a ^(133) Ba spectrum was deconvolved to verify the efficiency and accuracy of the algorithm in unfolding the overlapped peaks.

Present of wind power is sporadically and cannot be utilized as the only fundamental load of energy *** paper proposes a wind-solar hybrid energy storage system(HESS)to ensure a stable supply grid for a longer period.A multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)and state of charge(SOC)region division for the batteries are introduced to solve the objective function and configuration of the system capacity,***/Simulink was used for simulation *** optimization results show that for a 0.5 MW wind power and 0.5 MW photovoltaic system,with a combination of a 300 Ah lithium battery,a 200 Ah lead-acid battery,and a water storage tank,the proposed strategy reduces the system construction cost by approximately 18,000 ***,the cycle count of the electrochemical energy storage systemincreases from4515 to 4660,while the depth of discharge decreases from 55.37%to 53.65%,achieving shallow charging and discharging,thereby extending battery life and reducing grid voltage fluctuations *** proposed strategy is a guide for stabilizing the grid connection of wind and solar power generation,capability allocation,and energy management of energy conservation systems.

Direct Monte Carlo(MC) simulation is a powerful probabilistic safety assessment method for accounting dynamics of the *** it is not efficient at simulating rare events.A biasing transition rate method based on direct MC simulation is proposed to solve the problem in this *** method biases transition rates of the components by adding virtual components to them in series to increase the occurrence probability of the rare event,hence the decrease in the variance of MC *** cases are used to benchmark this *** results show that the method is effective at modeling system failure and is more efficient at collecting evidence of rare events than the direct MC *** performance is greatly improved by the biasing transition rate method.

In recent decades,global seismic observations have identified increasingly complex anisotropy of the Earth’s inner *** seismic studies have confirmed hemispherical variations in the inner core’s ***,based on ab initio molecular dynamics calculations,we report how the anisotropy of hexagonal close-packed(hcp)-iron,under inner core conditions,could be altered when alloyed with light *** find that light elements in binary allows with iron-hcp-Fe-X(X=C,O,Si,and S)-could have significant effects on density,sound velocities,and anisotropy,compared with the behavior of pure hcp-iron;the anisotropy of these binary alloys depends on combined effects of temperature and the particular alloying light ***,the change in anisotropy strength with increasing temperature can be charted for each *** pure iron with some light elements such as C or O actually does not increase but decreases core anisotropy at high *** the light element S can significantly enhance the elastic anisotropy strength of hcp-Fe.

This paper studies the helium ions irradiation effects on Nd and Ce co-doped Gd_2 Zr_2 O_7 ceramics. where Nd replaces the Gd site and Ce replaces the Zr site respectively. A series of（Gd_（1-x）Nd_x）_2（Zr_（1-y）Ce_y）_2 O_7（0 ≤ x, y ≤ 1） ceramics were irradiated with a 500 keV He ions at room temperature at fluences ranging from 1 × 10^（15） to 1 × 10^（17） ions/cm^2. The irradiated samples were characterized using GIXRD, Raman and SEM measurements. From the GIXRD and Raman observations, the results indicate that all the samples display a deficient fluorite structure after irradiation. The irradiation toleration increases with the irradiation depth increasing under experimental conditions, and Nd_2 Ce_2 O_7 has the best irradiation stability in the（Gd_（1-x）Nd_x）_2（Zr_（1-y）Ce_y）_2 O_7（0≤ x. y≤1）. Based on SEM results, the irradiated samples are still relatively dense and uniform, and no second phase exists.

The quantification of ionizing energy deposition and non-ionizing energy deposition plays a critical role in precision neutron dosimetry and in the separation of the displacement damage effects and ionizing effects induced by neutron radiation on semiconductor devices. In this report, neutrons generated by the newly built China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) are simulated by Geant4 in semiconductor material silicon to calculate the ionizing and non-ionizing kerma factors. Furthermore, the integral method is applied to calculate neutron-induced ionizing at the CSNS and non-ionizing kerma factors according to the standard neutron nuclear database and the incident neutron spectrum. In addition, thermoluminescence dosimeters are utilized to measure the ionizing energy deposition and six series of bipolar junction transistors are used to measure the non-ionizing energy deposition based on their neutron damage constants. The calibrated kerma factors that were experimentally measured agreed well with the simulation and integral calculation results. This report describes a complete set of methods and fundamental data for the analysis of neutron-induced radiation effects at the CSNS on silicon-based semiconductor devices.
