Association between acute mountain sickness(AMS) and age: a meta-analysis

Background: Acute mountain sickness(AMS) is a potentially lethal condition caused by acute hypoxia after ascending to altitudes higher than 2500 m in a short time. The main symptom of AMS is headache. Numerous risk factors of AMS have been examined, including gender, obesity, ascent rate, age and individual susceptibility. In previous studies, age was considered a predisposing factor for AMS. However, different opinions have been raised in recent years. To clarify the association between AMS and age, we conducted this ***: We obtained observational studies that explored risk factors for AMS by searching PubMed, Embase, China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI), the Wanfang database and CQVIP for articles published before March *** studies included were required to provide the mean age and its standard deviation for subjects with and without AMS, the maximum altitude attained and the mode of ascent. The Lake Louse Score(LLS) or the Chinese AMS score(CAS) was used to judge the severity of AMS symptoms and incidence. Studies were pooled for the analysis by using a random effects model in RevMan 5.0. Meta-regression and subgroup analyses were conducted to identify sources of heterogeneity using Stata 14.2 and RevMan ***: In total, 17 studies were included, and the overall number of subjects with and without AMS was 1810 and3014, respectively. The age ranged from 10 to 76 years. Analysis of the 17 included studies showed that age was not associated with AMS(mean difference(MD)=0.10; 95%CI: —0.38-0.58; P=0.69).Conclusions: This meta-analysis suggests that there is no association between age and the risk of AMS. Race, age,and ascent mode are common sources of heterogeneity, which may provide an analytical orientation for future heterogeneity analyses.

With the intensified depletion of high-grade iron ores,the increased aluminum content in iron ore concentrates has become unavoidable,which is detrimental to the pelletization ***,the effect mechanism of aluminum on pellet quality must be *** this study,the influence of aluminum occurrence and content on the induration of hematite(H)and magnetite(M)pellets was investigated through the addition of corresponding Al-containing additives,including alumina,alumogoethite,gibbsite,and *** mineralogical analysis,combined with the thermodynamic properties of different aluminum occurrences and the quantitative characterization of consolidation behaviors,were conducted to determine the related *** results showed that the alumina from various aluminum occurrences adversely affected the induration characteristics of pellets,especially at an aluminum content of more than 2.0wt%.The thermal decomposition of gibbsite and kaolinite tends to generate internal stress and fine cracks,which hinder the respective microcrystalline bonding and recrystallization between *** adverse effect on the induration characteristics of fired pellets with different aluminum occurrences can be relieved to varying degrees through the formation of liquid phase bonds between the hematite *** is more beneficial to the induration process than the other three aluminum occurrences because of the formation of more liquid phase,which improves pellet *** research results can further provide insights into the effect of aluminum occurrence and content in iron ore concentrates on downstream processing and serve as a guide for the utilization of high-alumina iron ore concentrates in pelletization.

Exosomes participate in many physiological and pathological processes by regulating cell–cell communication, which are involved in numerous diseases, including osteoarthritis(OA). Exosomes are detectable in the human articular cavity and were observed to change with OA progression. Several joint cells, including chondrocytes, synovial fibroblasts, osteoblasts, and tenocytes, can produce and secrete exosomes that influence the biological effects of targeted cells. The accurate assessment and diagnosis of combat injuries are the basis for triage and treatment of combat casualties. A consensus on the assessment and diagnosis of combat injuries was made and discussed at the second annual meeting of the Professional Committee on Disaster Medicine of the Chinese People's Liberation Army(PLA). In this consensus agreement, the massive hemorrhage, airway, respiration, circulation and hypothermia(MARCH) algorithm, which is a simple triage and rapid treatment and field triage score, was recommended to assess combat casualties during the first-aid stage, whereas the abbreviated scoring method for combat casualty and the MARCH algorithm were recommended to assess combat casualties in level Ⅱ facilities. In level Ⅲ facilities, combined measures, including a history inquiry, thorough physical examination, laboratory examination, X-ray, and ultrasound examination, were recommended for the diagnosis of combat casualties. In addition, corresponding methods were recommended for the recognition of casualties needing massive transfusions, assessment of firearm wounds, evaluation of mangled extremities, and assessment of injury severity in this consensus.

Collaborative Knowledge Infusion for Low-Resource Stance Detection

In order to achieve diesel abnormal sound positioning, an abnormal sound pressure signal of a diesel engine is acquired through a NI data acquisition system of a planar microphone array. The SRC-PHAT（Stochastic Region Contraction Phase Transform Weighed） method was used to establish the initial search space region, and the Steered Response Power（SRP） at the randomly selected point in the region was calculated. The coordinates of the SRP maximum point were selected by iterative iteration, which was different noise. The source coordinate estimate. The experimental results show that this method has good accuracy for the location of impact noise and provides a reference for the location of abnormal noise in the engine block.

Stance detection is the view towards a specific target by a given context(***,commercial reviews).Target-related knowledge is often needed to assist stance detection models in understanding the target well and making detection ***,prevailing works for knowledge-infused stance detection predominantly incorporate target knowledge from a singular source that lacks knowledge verification in limited domain *** low-resource training data further increase the challenge for the data-driven large models in this *** address those challenges,we propose a collaborative knowledge infusion approach for low-resource stance detection tasks,employing a combination of aligned knowledge enhancement and efficient parameter learning ***,our stance detection approach leverages target background knowledge collaboratively from different knowledge sources with the help of knowledge ***,we also introduce the parameter-efficient collaborative adaptor with a staged optimization algorithm,which collaboratively addresses the challenges associated with low-resource stance detection tasks from both network structure and learning *** assess the effectiveness of our method,we conduct extensive experiments on three public stance detection datasets,including low-resource and cross-target *** results demonstrate significant performance improvements compared to the existing stance detection approaches.

A type of authigenic pyrites that fully fill or semi-fill the rock fractures of drillholes with gas hydrate anomalies are found in the Qilian Mountain permafrost; this type of pyrite is known as ＂fracture-filling＂ pyrite. The occurrence of ＂fracture-filling＂ pyrite has a certain similarity with that of the hydrate found in this region, and the pyrite is generally concentrated in the lower part of the hydrate layer or the hydrate anomaly layer. The morphology, trace elements, rare earth elements, and sulfur isotope analyses of samples from drillhole DK-6 indicate that the ＂fracture-filling＂ pyrites are dominated by cubic ones mainly aligned in a step-like fashion along the surfaces of rock fractures and are associated with a circular structure, lower Co/Ni and Sr/Ba, lower ZREE, higher LREE, significant Eu negative anomalies, and 634ScDT positive bias. In terms of the pyrites＇ unique crys- tal morphology and geochemical characteristics and their relationship with the hydrate layers or abnormal layers, they are closely related with the accumulation system of the gas hydrate in the Qilian Mountain permafrost. As climate change is an important factor in affecting the stability of the gas hydrate, formation of fracture-filling pyrites is most likely closely related to the secondary change of the metastable gas hydrate under the regional climate warming. The distribution intensity of these py- rites indicates that when the gas hydrate stability zone （GHSZ） is narrowing, the hydrate decomposition at the bottom of the GHSZ is stronger than that at the top of the GHSZ, whereas the hydrate decomposition within the GHSZ is relatively weak. Thus, the zone between the shallowest and the deepest distribution of the fracture-filling pyrite recorded the largest possible original GHSZ.
