Agricultural non-point source pollution is increasingly an important issue affecting surface water ***,the majority of the studies on nitrogen loss have focused on the agricultural field scale,however,the response of surface water quality at the watershed scale into the nitrogen loss at the field scale is poorly *** present study systematically reviewed the critical processes and major factors that nitrogen transport from farm fields to surface water *** critical processes of farmland nitrogen entering surface water bodies involve the processes of nitrogen transport from farmland to ditches and the transformation processes of nitrogen during migration in ditches/*** transport from farmland to ditches is one of the prerequisites and critical processes for farmland nitrogen transport to surface water *** transformation of nitrogen forms in ditches/rivers is an intermediate process in the migration of nitrogen from farmland to surface water *** loss from farmland is related to soil storage and exogenous ***,nitrogen input management should not only consider the current input,but also the contribution of soil storage due to the historical ***/rivers have a strong retention capacity for nitrogen,which will significantly affect the process of farmland nitrogen entering surface water *** factors affecting nitrogen transformation in river/ditches can be placed in four categories:(1)factors affecting hydraulic retention time,(2)factors affecting contact area,(3)factors affecting biological activity,and(4)forms and amount of nitrogen loading to river/*** systems are more biologically(including plants and microbes)active than rivers with biological factors having a greater influence on nitrogen *** developing pollution prevention and control strategies,ecological ditches can be constructed to increase biological activity and reduce the amount of surplus ni

Bangcangjingnuo is a new, mid-maturing conventional Japonica type glutinous rice variety bred by Hunan Rice Research Institute and Hunan Wucai Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., ltd. In 2017, the Hunan Crop Variety Examination and Approval Committee approved Bangcangjingnuo. The breeding process of this cultivar was expounded in this study. This cultivar is highly glutinous and waxy, it produces a stable high yield, and it possesses the quality of low temperature resistance. The theoretical yield of Bangcangjingnuo is 8 731.5 kg/hm^2, and the actual output is about 7 422.0 kg/hm^2 according to the 85% ***, we described the main points of cultivation technique from the perspectives of timely planting and strict seed sterilization.

The annual rainfall is low and the fresh water resources are scarce for the rainfed farming in dry zone of northern China,which seriously affects the sowing and growth of spring corn. In order to solve this problem,the technology of ridge-mulching and side-sowing of spring corn is put forward,the supporting compound operation seeder is developed,and the effect of different speed on the quality of sowing is tested and analyzed. Under the test conditions described in this paper,the seeding operation with a high speed( up to 6 km/h) can be realized,and the quality of the seeding operation can meet the requirements of the national standards. The application of this machine can solve the problem of " drought damage at the booting stage" for spring corn,thereby realizing the deep fusion of farming machine and agronomy in dry farming of northern China,and achieving the integration of farming machine and agronomy.

[Objectives]To establish a thin-layer chromatography identification method for the ethnic medicinal materials of Polygonum capitatum.[Methods]The thin layer chromatography(TLC)method was used to identify materials.[Results]The TLC identification showed that in the chromatogram of the test sample,there were spots of the same color in the corresponding position of the chromatogram of the reference medicinal material,and the reproducibility was good.[Conclusions]The TLC identification and the determination results of the inspection items can provide a basis for the quality control of the medicinal materials of ***.

Optical whispering gallery mode （WGM） microresonators have attracted great attention due to their remarkable proper- ties such as extremely high quality factor, small mode volume, tight confinement of modes, and strong evanescent field. All these properties of WGM microresonators have ensured their great potentials for applications, such as physical sen- sors, bio/chemical sensors and microlasers. In this mini-review, the key parameters and coupling conditions of WGM microresonators are firstly introduced. The geometries of WGM optical microcavities are presented based on their fabri- cation methods. This is followed by the discussion on the state-of-the-art applications of WGM microresonators in sen- sors and microlasers.

Antimicrobial susceptibility tests(ASTs)are pivotal in combating multidrug resistant pathogens,yet they can be time‐consuming,labor‐intensive,and *** the AST of tigecycline for sepsis as the main model,here we establish an automated system of Clinical Antimicrobials Susceptibility Test Ramanometry(CAST‐R),based on D2O‐probed Raman mi*** a liquid robot for sample pretreatment and a machine learning‐based control scheme for data acquisition and quality control,the 3‐h,automated CAST‐R process accelerates AST by>10‐fold,processes 96 paralleled antibiotic‐exposure reactions,and produces high‐quality Raman *** Expedited Minimal Inhibitory Concentration via Metabolic Activity is proposed as a quantitative and broadly applicable parameter for metabolism‐based AST,which shows 99%essential agreement and 93%categorical agreement with the broth microdilution method(BMD)when tested on 100 Acinetobacter baumannii *** tests on 26 clinically positive blood samples for eight antimicrobials,including tigecycline,meropenem,ceftazidime,ampicillin/sulbactam,oxacillin,clindamycin,vancomycin,and levofloxacin reveal 93%categorical agreement with BMD‐based *** automation,speed,reliability,and general applicability of CAST‐R suggest its potential utility for guiding the clinical administration of antimicrobials.

Foliar application of a mixture of putrescine,melatonin,proline,and potassium fulvic acid alleviates high temperature stress of cucumber plants grown in the greenhouse

Putrescine(Put),melatonin(MT),proline(Pro),and potassium fulvic acid(MFA)are widely used as plant growth regulators to enhance stress ***,the roles of their mixtures in response to stress are largely ***,we mixed Put with MT,Pro,and MFA(hereafter referred to as Put mixture)with different concentrations and foliar sprayed at different growth stages(seedling,flowering,and fruiting stage)of cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)to investigate their roles on plant growth,fruit yield,and quality under high temperature *** foliar application of the Put mixture promoted cucumber growth,increased chlorophyll and Pro contents and net photosynthesis rate,and reduced the values of relative electrolyte leakage,H_(2)O_(2)and malondialdehyde contents of cucumber leaves,indicating that treatment with Put mixture reduced the oxidative stress caused by high ***,Put mixture-treated cucumber plants had lower fruit deformity rate and higher fruit yield compared with *** contents of vitamin C and soluble solids of cucumber fruit significantly increased and the contents of tannin and organic acid *** most profound effects were found in the plants treated with 8 mmol L^(−1)Put,50μmol L^(−1)MT,1.5 mmol L^(−1)Pro and 0.3 g L^(−1)MFA every 7 d,three times at the seedling stage,indicating that cucumber seedlings treated with the mixture of Put,MT,Pro,and MFA significantly alleviated the negative effects of high temperature stress.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease,typified by the loss in the quality of cartilage and bone at the interface of a synovial joint,resulting in pain,stiffness and reduced *** current surgical treatment for advanced stages of the disease is joint replacement,where the non-surgical therapeutic options or less invasive surgical treatments are no longer *** are major surgical procedures which have a substantial impact on patients’quality of life and lifetime risk of requiring revision *** using regenerative methods such as tissue engineering methods have been established and are promising for the early treatment of cartilage degeneration in osteoarthritis *** this approach,3-dimensional scaffolds(with or without cells)are employed to provide support for tissue ***,none of the currently available tissue engineering and regenerative medicine products promotes satisfactory durable regeneration of large cartilage ***,we discuss the current regenerative treatment options for cartilage and osteochondral(cartilage and underlying subchondral bone)defects in the articulating *** further identify the main hurdles in osteochondral scaffold development for achieving satisfactory and durable regeneration of osteochondral *** evolution of the osteochondral scaffolds–from monophasic to multiphasic constructs–is overviewed and the osteochondral scaffolds that have progressed to clinical trials are examined with respect to their clinical performances and their potential impact on the clinical *** of an osteochondral scaffold which bridges the gap between small defect treatment and joint replacement is still a grand *** scaffold could be used for early treatment of cartilage and osteochondral defects at early stage of osteoarthritis and could either negate or delay the need for joint replacements.
