In order to measure the position and orientation of in-vivo medical micro-devices without the line-of-sight constraints, a wireless magnetic sensor is developed for an electromagnetic localization method. In the electromagnetic localization system, the wireless magnetic sensor is embedded in the micro-devices to measure alternating magnetic signals. The wireless magnetic sensor is composed of an induction coil, a signal processor, a radio frequency (RF) transmitter, a power manager and batteries. Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, the induction coil converts the alternating magnetic signals into electrical signals. Via the RF transmitter, the useful data are wirelessly sent outside the body. According to the relation between the magnetic signals and the location, the position and orientation of the micro-devices can be calculated. The experiments demonstrate the feasibility of localizing in-vivo medical micro-devices with the wireless magnetic sensor. The novel localization system is accurate and robust. Cheese is so important to the Turkish cuisine. It is eaten plain as part of the traditional Turkish breakfast, used in salads, and incorporated into cooked foods such as b?rek, pide, menemen and also used for some traditional desserts. There are several types of cheeses with different characteristics and aroma compounds, and they can be used for preparation of various foods as an additive. The formation of cheese aroma basically associated with lipids, proteins and lactose content of milk, besides raw or pasteurized milk, starter or non-starter bacteria, ripening conditions. Cheese flavoring agent is used in a variety of products such as salads, pizza, breads. General properties of some traditional Turkish cheeses, their aroma compounds and importance for Turkish cuisine are discussed.

Despite the important roles of Sustainable Agricultural Practices(SAPs)in improving productivity,welfare,and food security of farming households,the adoption rates of SAPs have been perceived to be generally low,especially in developing *** cross-sectional data collected from the 2015 Nigeria General Household Survey,this study examines the factors influencing the adoption of multiple SAPs,while also considering the drivers of the intensity of adoption of these *** methods of data analysis are based on the Multivariate probit and the Ordered probit *** SAPs considered include improved seeds,inorganic fertilizer,mixed-cropping techniques,and organic *** empirical results show that farmers’adoption of different SAPs and their intensity of use depend significantly on factors such as the age of household head,gender,education,household size,access to extension services,and household wealth *** findings imply that policymakers and agricultural development agencies should seek to maintain or increase household asset bases,and encourage both formal and informal training programme among farming households to facilitate the adoption of SAPs.

Dear Editor,Short-term fasting(up to 48 hours)activates strong physiological and molecular responses[1].We and others showed a p53-independent transcriptional activation of the cell cycle inhibitor p21 upon fasting,most strongly in the liver,muscles,and many other tissues[2,3].Studies with mice[4,5]and human patients[6]have shown the beneficial effects of short-term fasting during anti-cancer chemotherapy treatments.

The use of insect meal in aquafeed formulations has recently gained *** knowledge about the inclusion levels for pikeperch(Sander lucioperca),a promising candidate for intensive aquaculture in Europe remains,however,*** the present study,4 isoproteic(45%dry matter)and isoenergetic(21 MJ/kg)diets were formulated,including a control diet(H0)containing 30%fishmeal(FM)on an as-fed basis and the other 3 diets in which FM protein was replaced by defatted black soldier fly(Hemetia illucens)meal(HIM)at 25%,50%,and 100%(diet abbreviation H9,H18 and H36,corresponding to an inclusion level of 9%,18%and 36%,respectively).The feeding trial was performed in triplicate groups of 50 juvenile pikeperch(mean weight,68.7 g)fed with experimental diets for 84 d during which the growth performance,nutrient digestibility,fillet quality and economic and environmental sustainability of rearing pikeperch were *** findings indicated that pikeperch in H0,H9,and H18 groups displayed better results regarding growth performance indices,except for survival rate where no significant difference among groups was recorded(P?0.642).A significantly lower organ-somatic index,including hepatosomatic,viscerosomatic and perivisceral fat index,was found in fish in H18 groups than other groups(P0.05)but did reduce total n-3 fatty acids(P?0.001)and increased total n-6(P<0.001).Increasing inclusion levels of HIM reduced the environmental impacts associated with fish in-to-fish out ratio but entailed heavy burdens on e

Inflammatory diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) require recurrent invasive tests, including blood tests, radiology, and endoscopic evaluation both to diagnose and assess disease activity, and to determine optimal therapeutic strategies. Simple ‘bedside’ biomarkers could be used in all phases of patient management to avoid unnecessary investigation and guide further management. The focal adhesion complex(FAC) has been implicated in the pathogenesis of multiple inflammatory diseases, including IBD, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. Utilizing omics technologies has proven to be an efficient approach to identify biomarkers from within the FAC in the field of cancer medicine. Predictive biomarkers are paving the way for the success of precision medicine for cancer patients, but inflammatory diseases have lagged behind in this respect. This review explores the current status of biomarker prediction for inflammatory diseases from within the FAC using omics technologies and highlights the benefits of future potential biomarker identification approaches.
