Loquat(Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.)is an evergreen fruit tree species of the Rosaceae,and its unique flowering time greatly hinders its *** explore the artificial regulation of loquat flowering time,we removed the main inflorescence(by cutting it)to induce *** different loquat tree cultivars with different stages,the inflorescence was removed by cutting the main floral axis at two alternative positions:the upper or the lower position beneath the inflorescence,and it was found that the proportion of reflowering resulting from removing the upper position of the main floral axis of yellow-flesh loquat cultivars during the full-bloom stage was the *** addition,compared with those of the normal-growing panicles,the number of flower buds and branch axes of the reflowering panicles decreased significantly after ***,these newly produced inflorescences flowered 2–4 months later than normal-growing inflorescences did,effectively prolonging both the flowering and fruiting *** addition,qRT-PCR results showed that EjFT1,EjFT2,EjAP1–1 and EjAP1–2 were highly expressed in the floral *** findings highlighted a new method for extending the production cycle of loquat and provided a reference for the flowering regulation of loquat and other economically important fruit tree species.

Objective:To study the anti-hypertrophic scar effect of the six-herb Chinese medicine composition(SCMC) ointment on the rabbit ear hypertrophic scar ***:The optimal formulation of SCMC ointment matrix was screened by the orthogonal designs and a series of evaluation *** SCMC ointment was prepared through emulsifying *** rabbit ear hypertrophic scar models were established and used to investigate the anti-hypertrophic scar effect of SCMC ***:Our results demonstrated that all the quality control indications of the SCMC ointment met the ***-hypertrophic scar activity results showed that all the rabbit ear scar tissues appeared different degrees of shrink and fading,and took an unobvious but palpable shift from hard to soft texture with the low,middle and high concentration SCMC ointments treatments in ***,on 21 st day the scar area and thickness in different concentrations of SCMC ointment groups were significantly reduced than control group,in a concentration-dependent *** immunohistochemical results also indicated that the SCMC ointment had good anti-hypertrophic scar properties and could inhibit hypertrophic scar ***:The SCMC ointment could improve the blood circulation condition of hypertrophic scar *** research has demonstrated the Chinese medicine composition ointment with good antihypertrophic scar properties that could be used to treat hypertrophic ***,it provides a theoretical basis for further clinical application.

A Database Querying Language for Formulating Relational Queries on Small Devices

For small devices like the PDAs and mobile phones, formulation of relational database queries is not as simple as using conventional devices such as the personal computers and laptops. Due to the restricted size and resources of these smaller devices, current works mostly limit the queries that can be posed by users by having them predetermined by the developers. This limits the capability of these devices in supporting robust queries. Hence, this paper proposes a universal relation based database querying language which is targeted for small devices. The language allows formulation of relational database queries that uses minimal query terms. The formulation of the language and its structure will be described and usability test results will be presented to support the effectiveness of the language.

Background:The analysis of chromatin integrity has become an important determinant of sperm *** frozenthawed bovine sperm,neither the sequence of post-thaw injury events nor the dynamics of different types of sperm DNA breaks are well *** aim of the present work was to describe such sperm degradation aftermath focusing on DNA damage dynamics,and to assess if this parameter can predict pregnancy rates in ***:A total of 75 cryopreserved ejaculates from 25 Holstein bulls were evaluated at two post-thawing periods(0-2 h and 2-4 h),analyzing global and double-stranded DNA damage through alkaline and neutral Comet assays,chromatin deprotamination and decondensation,sperm motility,viability,acrosomal status,and intracellular levels of total ROS,superoxides and *** of 59,605 females was conducted using sperm from the same bulls,thus obtaining the non-return to estrus rates after 90 d(NRR).Results showed an increased rate of double-stranded breaks in the first period(0-2 h:1.29±1.01%/h vs.2-4 h:0.13±1.37%/h;P0.05).Finally,whereas no correlations between bull fertility and any dynamic parameter were found,there were correlations between the NRR and the basal percentage of highly-damaged sperm assessed with the alkaline Comet(Rs=-0.563,P=0.003),between NRR and basal progressive motility(Rs=0.511,P=0.009),and between NRR and sperm with high ROS at 4 h post-thaw(Rs=0.564,P=0.003).Conclusion:The statistically significant correlations found between intracellular ROS,sperm viability,sperm motility,DNA damage

The stretch formability of a low carbon steel processed by friction stir processing （FSP） was studied under biaxial loading condition applied by a miniaturized Erichsen test. One-pass FSP decreased the ferritic grain size in the processed zone from 25 μm to about 3 μm, which also caused a remarkable increase in strength values without considerable decrease in formability under uniaxial loading. A coarse-grained （CG） sample before FSP reflected a moderate formability with an Erichsen index （EI） of 2.73 mm. FSP slightly decreased the stretch formability of the sample to 2.66 ram. However, FSP increased the required punch load （FEI） due to the increased strength by grain refinement. FSP reduced considerably the roughness of the free surface of the biaxial stretched samples with reduced orange peel effect. The average roughness value （Ra） decreased from 2.90 in the CG sample down to about 0.65 μm in fine-grained （FG） sample after FSP. It can be concluded that the FG microstructure in low carbon steels sheets or plates used generally in shipbuilding provides a good balance between strength and formability.

Conformation and dynamical evolution of block copolymers in shear flow is an important topic in polymer physics that underscores the forming process of various *** explored deformation and dynamics of copolymers composed of rigid or flexible blocks in simple shear flow by employing multiparticle collision dynamics integrated with molecular dynamics *** found that compared with the proportion between rigid and flexible blocks,the type of the central blocks plays more important role in the conformational and dynamical evolution of *** is,if the central block is a coil,the copolymer chain takes end-over-end tumbling motion,while if the central block is a rod,the copolymer chain undergoes U-shape or S-shape deformation at mid shear *** the shear strength increases,all copolymers behave similar to flexible polymers at high shear *** can be attributed to the fact that shear flow is strong enough to overcome the buckling force of the rigid *** results provide a deeper understanding of the roles played by rod and coil blocks in copolymers for phase interface during forming processing.
