摘      要：Stress peening is a special way of shot peening. The method is explained, and applications will be shown and discussed. These applications are seldom and mostly concentrated on spring industry. Here is the main process to increase the induced residual stresses to elongate the fatigue life. On the other hand, if no elongation is necessary, the weight of component can be decreased which is a basic question today. Also, the dimensions can be changed in a positive way.
