Deep eutectic solvent assisted facile synthesis of low-dimensional hierarchical porous high-entropy oxides

High-entropy-oxides(HEOs),a new class of solids that contain five or more elemental species,have attracted increasing interests owing to their unique structures and fascinating physicochemical ***,it is a huge challenge to construct various nanostructured,especially low-dimensional nanostructured HEOs under the high temperature synthetic ***,a facile strategy using glucose-urea deep eutectic solvent(des)as both a solvent and the carbon source of structure-directed template is proposed for the synthesis of various HEOs with two-dimentional(2D)nanonets and one-dimentional(1D)nanowires,including rock-salt(Co,Cu,Mg,Ni,Zn)O,spinel(Co,Cr,Fe,Mn,Ni)_(3)O_(4),and perovskite La(Co,Cr,Fe,Mn,Ni)O_(3).The as-prepared HEOs possessed five or more uniformly dispersed metal elements,large specific surface areas(more than 25 m^(2)·g^(−1)),and a pure single-phase *** addition,high cooling rate(cooling in air or liq-N_(2)-quenching)was indispensable to obtain a single-phase rock-salt(Co,Cu,Mg,Ni,Zn)O because of phase separation caused by *** taking advantage of unique features of HEOs,rock-salt(Co,Cu,Mg,Ni,Zn)O can function as a promising candidate for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)anode material,which achieved excellent cycling *** work provides a feasible synthetic strategy for low-dimensional hierarchical HEOs,which creates new opportunities for the stable HEOs being highly active functional materials.

The small size of agricultural plots is the main difficulty for crops mapping with remote sensing data in the Sahelian region of Africa. The study aims to combine Sentinel-1 (radar) and Sentinel-2 (Optic) data to discriminate millet, maize and peanut crops. Training plots were used in order to analyse temporal variation of the three crops’ signals. The NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) was able to differentiate crops only at the end of the rainy season (October). The optical data as well as the radar ones could not easily discriminate the three crops during the growing season, because in that period vegetation cover is low, and soil contribution to the signals (due to roughness and moisture) was more important than that of real vegetation. However, the ratio of VH/VV (VH: incident signal in vertical polarization and reflected signal in horizontal polarization;VV: incident signal in vertical polarization and reflected signal in horizontal polarization) gave a difference between millet and the two other crops at the beginning cultural season (July 11). Difference appears from the second third of September when the harvest of cereals crops (millet and maize) began. From middle of October, the peanut signal dropped sharply thus facilitating the differentiation of peanut from the two other crops. This analysis led to the identification of data that have could be used to discriminate these crops (useful data). Classification of the combined useful data gave an overall high accuracy of 82%, with 96%, 61% and 65% for peanut, maize and millet, respectively. The non-agricultural areas (water, natural vegetation, habit, bare soil) were well classified with an accuracy greater than 90%.

Diospyros mespiliformis Hochst. ex A. DC. (Ebenaceae) is a multi-use plant, including for therapeutic purposes. It is used in alternative medicine in Burkina Faso to treat conjunctivitis, menorrhagia, dysentery, and diarrhea. The aim of our study was to evaluate the chemical profile, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, safety of use and spasmolytic effects of the aqueous decoction of Diospyros mespiliformis leaves. Phytochemical screening by HPTLC and assay of compounds of interest were carried out. Four methods were used to assess antioxidant activity. Inhibitory activity against 15-lipoxygenase and phospholipase A2 was assessed. Acute oral toxicity of the extract was tested on female mice (NMRI). Following these tests, the extract contained bioactive compounds of interest such as flavonoids, tannins, sterols, triterpenes, and saponosides. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents of the aqueous decoctate were 70.59 ± 3.20 mg EAT/g and 31.57 ± 0.78 mg EQ/g respectively. The extract was less active than Trolox with inhibitory concentrations of 50% (IC50) for the ABTS, DPPH, FRAP, and LPO tests of 7.53 ± 0.08 μg/mL, 29.47 ± 0.06 μg/mL, 1128.83 ± 4.82 mol EAA/g, and 32.30 ± 1.60 μg/mL respectively. The extract has an anti-inflammatory effect with inhibition of phospholipase A2 compared to betamethasone. In addition, the aqueous extract produced an antispasmodic effect with Emax of 70% and 80% respectively during contractions induced by BaCl2 and ACh. Finally, this study provided basic scientific data and could justify the use of D. mespiliformis leaves in the treatment of diarrhea.

[ Objective] The paper wag to improve the antimicrobial effect of antagonistic Streptomyces on Botryosphaeria dothidea. [ Method ] Different concentrations of des were adopted for mutagenic treatment of antagonistic Streptomyces F-58. After fermentation, the mutant strain numbered F-58-06 with genetic stability and good antimicrobial effect was selected among 200 mutant strains; the biological activity of the strain was determined with B. dothidea as the indicator fungus, and the best concentration of des wag 2%. The fermentation conditions of antagonistic substances of Streptomyces strain F-58-06 produced in shake flasks were opti- mized using the method of single factor and orthogonal experimental design. [ Result] The optimal fermentation conditions were carbon source corn flour, nitrogen source KNO3, initial pH 7, loading volume 30 mL in 250 mL shake flask, inoculation volume 3%, incubation time 132 h. Based on orthogonal experiments, the best cultured medium ratio was corn flour 4%, KNO3 0.5%, CaCO3 0.2%, NaCI 0.35%, MgSO4 · 7H2O 0. 15%. [ Conclusion ] After mutation and optimization of culture medium, the antimicrobial activity of Streptomyces F-58 was greatly improved, and the average inhibition zone diameter was 1.35 times of that of the original strain.

Background: Anastatica hierochuntica L. (Brassicaceae) has been claimed to treat various conditions, including complicated childbirth. The principal objective of this research was to provide scientific evidence on the contractile effect of the aqueous and hydroethanolic extracts of the whole plant from A. hierochuntica during labor. Method: Qualitative and quantitative methods helped identify and quantify the phytoconstituents in both extracts. The antioxidant activity was studied using four standard methods (ABTS, DPPH, FRAP, and LPO). Results: The inhibitory power of the extracts on pro-inflammatory enzymes such as 15-lipoxygenase and phospholipase A2 was determined. The contractile effects of the extracts were evaluated using isolated pregnant mice uteri. Steroids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, tannins, coumarins, and reduced compounds were identified in both extracts. The hydroethanolic extract exhibited higher content of hydrolyzable tannins (15.07 ± 0.24 mg tannic acid equivalent/g) than the aqueous decoction (11.8 ± 0.69 mg TAE/g). The extracts demonstrated the ability to scavenge DPPH and ABTS radicals, reduce ferric ions, and inhibit especially lipid peroxidation. No significant difference was noted in the phospholipase inhibition between the extracts and betamethasone. The hydroethanolic extract displayed the most significant anti-lipoxygenase activity with an IC50 value of 55.82 ± 1.15 μg/mL. The lethal dose (LD50) of extracts was estimated to be superior to 2000 mg/kg body weight (bw). The ability of the samples to produce one cm amplitude of contraction at 50% effective concentrations (EC50) was 5.33 × 10−8 ± 0.32 mg/mL for oxytocin, 1.51 ± 0.08 mg/mL for aqueous extract and 3.57 ± 0.61 mg/mL for hydroethanolic extract. Conclusion: These findings could provide evidence for using Anastatica hierochuntica to facilitate childbirth.

Interferon gamma （IFN-7） and leukemia inhibitory factor （LIF） are key gestational factors that may differentially affect leukocyte function during gestation. Because IFN-,/induces a pro-inflammatory phenotype in macrophages and because trophoblast cells are principal targets of LIF in the placenta, we investigated whether and how soluble factors from trophoblast cells regulate the effects of IFN-7 on macrophage activation. IFN-7 reduces macrophage motility, but enhances Statl activation, pro-inflammatory gene expression and cytotoxic functions. Soluble factors from villous cytotrophoblasts （vCT＋LIF cells） and BeWo cells （BW/ST＋LIF cells） that were differentiated in the presence of LIF inhibit macrophage Statl activation but inversely sustain Stat3 activation in response to IFN-7. vCT＋LIF cells produce soluble factors that induce Stat3 activation; this effect is partially abrogated in the presence of neutralizing anti-interleukin 10 （IL-IO） antibodies. Moreover, soluble factors from BW/ST＋LIF cells reduce cell proliferation but enhance the migratory responses of monocytes. In addition, these factors reverse the inhibitory effect of IFN-y on monocyte/macrophage motility. BW/ST＋LIF cells also generate IFN-y-activated macrophages with enhanced IL-IO expression, but reduced tumor-necrosis factor alpha （TNF-cd, CD14 and CD40 expression as well as impaired cytotoxic function. Additional assays performed in the presence of neutralizing anti-lL-lO antibodies and exogenous IL-IO demonstrate that reduced macrophage cytotoxicity and proliferation, but increased cell motility result from the ability of trophoblast IL-IO to sustain Star3 activation and suppress IFN-y-induced Star1 activation. These in vitro studies are the first to describe the regulatory role of the LIF-trophoblast-lL- 10 axis in the process of macrophage activation in response to pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Local aneurysmal dilatation mimicking stent malapposition and concurrent vulnerable plaque within neointima of normal lumen after drug-eluting stent implantation： primary new findings from optical coherence tomography

Very late stent thrombosis is a life-threatening complication of implantation of drug-eluting stent （des）. The mechanisms are still unidentified. Stent malapposition is supposed to be one debated reason. Here we report a case of 33 months after des implanted. Observed by optical coherence tomography, we detected a lipid-rich plaque with defective fibrous cap within the neointima and many local aneurysmal dilatations between stent struts, which mimic ＂malapposition＂ on the angiogram. These indicated that vulnerable plaque hidden in the neointima at the stent segment might be a potential mechanism of very late stent thrombosis after des implantation.

Comparison of the incidence of late stent thrombosis after implantation of different drug-eluting stents in the real world coronary heart disease patients： three-year follow-up results

Background Late stent thrombosis （LST） is still concerned by interventions cardiologists in daily clinical practice. This study aimed to compare the incidence of LST after implantation of different drug-eluting stents （des） in coronary heart disease （CHD） patients in the real *** From December 2001 to February 2009, a total of 11 875 consecutive CHD patients undergone des implantation were enrolled in this single-center registery study. Patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, mixed des implantation, restenosis lesions, and patients who could not take dual antiplatlet medication and those who were contraindicated for coronary interventional treatment were excluded. All patients were treated with completed dual antiplatelet medications for at least 9 months after des deployment. The follow-up was completed by outpatient visits, letter correspondence, phone calls and coronary angiography. Definite LST was diagnosed auording to the Academic Research Consortium （ARC） *** Cypher or Cypher Select stents were implanted in 4104 cases, Taxus or Taxus Liberty stents in 2271 cases and Firebird stents （Chinese rapamycin-eluting stents） in 5500 cases. One-year follow-up was completed in 9693 patients, including 3346 cases with Cypher or Cypher Select stents, 1529 cases with Taxus or Taxus Liberty stents and 4818 cases with Firebird stents. Two- and three-year follow-up results were obtained in 7133 and 4353 patients, respectively, including 2410 and 1760 cases with Cypher or Cypher Select stents, 1285 and 900 cases with Taxus or Taxus Liberty stents as well as 3438 and 1693 cases with Firebird stents. One-year follow-up results showed that the incidence of LST was 1.08% in patients with Cypher or Cypher Select stents, 1.24% in those with Taxus or Taxus Liberty stents and 0.71% in those with Firebird stents; there was no significant difference between those with Cypher or Cypher Select and Firebird stents, but there was significant
