The total length of the second stage of the water supply project in the northern areas of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is 540 km, of which the total length of the tunnels is 516 km. The total tun- neling mileage is 569 km, which includes 49 slow-inclined shafts and vertical shafts. Among the tunnels constructed in the project, the Ka-Shuang tunnel, which is a single tunnel with a length of 283 kin, is cur- rently the longest water-conveyance tunnel in the world. The main tunnel of the Ka-Shuang tunnel is divided into 18 tunnel-boring machine （TBM） sections, and 34 drilling-and-blasting sections, with 91 tunnel faces. The construction of the Ka-Shuang tunnel has been regarded as an unprecedented challenge for project construction management, risk control, and safe and efficient construction; it has also pre- sented higher requirements for the design, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of the TBMs and their supporting equipment. Based on the engineering characteristics and adverse geological conditions, it is necessary to analyze the major problems confronted by the construction and systematically locate disaster sources. In addition, the risk level should be reasonably ranked, responsibility should be clearly identified, and a hierarchical-control mechanism should be established. Several techniques are put for- ward in this paper to achieve the objectives mentioned above; these include advanced geological prospecting techniques, intelligent tunneling techniques combined with the sensing and fusion of infor- mation about rock parameters and mechanical parameters, monitoring and early-warning techniques, and modern information technologies. The application of these techniques offers scientific guidance for risk control and puts forward technical ideas about improving the efficiency of safe tunneling. These techniques and ideas have great significance for the development of modern tunneling technolo- gies and research into major construction equipment.

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

Synchronization in parallel programs is a major performance bottleneck in multiprocessor systems. Shared data is protected by locks and a lot of time is spent on the competition arising at the lock hand-off. In order to be serialized, requests to the same cache line can either be bounced （NACKed） or buffered in the coherence controller. In this paper, we focus mainly on systems whose coherence controllers buffer requests. In a lock hand-off, a burst of requests to the same line arrive at the coherence controller. During lock hand-off only the requests from the winning processor contribute to progress of the computation, since the winning processor is the only one that will advance the work. This key observation leads us to propose a hardware mechanism we call request bypassing, which allows requests from the winning processor to bypass the requests buffered in the coherence controller keeping the lock line. We present an inexpensive implementation of request bypassing that reduces the time spent on all the execution phases of a critical section （acquiring the lock, accessing shared data, and releasing the lock） and which, as a consequence, speeds up the whole parallel computation. This mechanism requires neither compiler or programmer support nor ISA or coherence protocol changes. By simulating a 32-processor system, we show that using request bypassing does not degrade but rather improves performance in three applications with low synchronization rates, while in those having a large amount of synchronization activity （the remaining four）, we see reductions in execution time and in lock stall time ranging from 14% to 39% and from 52% to 7170, respectively. We compare request bypassing with a previously proposed technique called read combining and with a system that bounces requests, observing a significantly lower execution time with the bypassing scheme. Finally, we analyze the sensitivity of our results to some key hardware and software parameters.

China’s spatial(dis)integration as a multiethnic paradox:what do the interprovincial data say?

Using China’s interprovincial panel data,this paper shows that the negative effect of distance-related transactions costs on interprovincial trade tends to rise from 2000 to *** constructing China’s 56 ethnic groups into a single,interprovincial similarity index,I cannot find any evidence that supports the view that ethnic links should serve as a factor promoting bilateral ***,my estimated coefficients on 37 major ethnic groups show that both positive and negative ethnic influences on trade exist in ***,14 ethnic groups(Lahu,Qiang,Jingpo,Tu,Mongol,Manchu,Hui,Zhuang,Dongxiang,Daur,Kirgiz,She,Maonan,and Tibetan)are found to contribute to China’s interprovincial trade,while five ethnic groups(Han,Va,Kazak,Dai,and Blang)tend to impede China’s interprovincial *** all these estimated results are statistically significant,the ethnic influences on China’s spatial(dis)integration remain only but as a paradox.

Diet is a major modulator of animal resilience and its three pillars: host?s immune response, gut microbiota, and intestinal barrier. In the present study, we endeavour to delineate a challenging condition aimed to degrade these pillars and elucidate its impact on broiler performance and nutrient digestibility. To attain this objective, we opted to use guar gum(GG) as a source of galactomannan. A series of three in vivo experiments were conducted employing conventional or semi-purified diets, supplemented with or without GG during the grower phase(14-28 d). Our findings demonstrate a substantial decline in animal performance metrics such as body weight(reduced by 29%, P < 0.001), feed intake(decreased by 12%, P < 0.001), and feed conversion ratio(up to 58% increase, P < 0.001) in the presence of GG at 2%. The supplementation of a semi-purified diet with incremental doses of GG resulted in a linear reduction(P < 0.001) in the apparent total tract digestibility of dry matter and apparent metabolisable energy. Additionally, a marked reduction in ileal endogenous losses, as well as apparent and standardised digestibility of all amino acids with varying proportions(P < 0.05), was observed. These alterations were accompanied by disrupted gut integrity assessed by fluorescein isothiocyanate-dextran(FITC-d)(P < 0.001) as well as an inflammatory status characterised by elevated levels of acute-phase proteins,namely orosomucoid and serum amyloid A in the sera(P = 0.03), and increased m RNA expression levels of IL-1, IL-6, IL-8, Inos, and K203 genes in the ileum, along with a decrease in Ig A levels in the gut lumen(P < 0.05). Microbial ecology and activity were characterised by reduced diversity and richness(Shannon index, P = 0.005) in the presence of GG. Consequently, our results revealed diminished levels of shortchain fatty acids(P = 0.01) and their producer genera, such as Clostridium＿XIVa and Blautia, in the gut caeca, coupled with excessive accumulation of lactate(17-f

Analysis of Incoherent Scatter Radar(ISR)data collected during an experiment involving alternating O/X mode pumping reveals that the high-frequency enhanced ion line(HFIL)and plasma line(HFPL)did not appear immediately after the onset of pumping,but were delayed by a few *** examining the initial behaviors of the ion line,plasma line,and electron temperature,as well as ionosphere conditions,we find that(1)the HFIL and HFPL were delayed not only in the X mode pumping but also in the O mode pumping and(2)the HFIL was not observed prior to enhancement of the electron *** analysis suggests that(1)leakage of the X mode to the O mode pumping may not be ignored and(2)spatiotemporal uncertainties and spatiotemporal variations in the profiles of ion mass and electron density may have played important roles in the apparent failure of the Bragg condition to apply;(3)nevertheless,the absence of parametric decay instability(PDI)cannot be ruled out,due to our inability to match conditions caused by the spatiotemporal uncertainties.
