A dermatan sulfate （DS） repeating disaccharide analog, β-L-idopyranosiduronate-（1→3）-2-amino-2- deoxy-4,6-di-O-sulfo-β-D-galactopyranoside, has been convergently synthesized and successfully applied to prepare the GAG-functionalized gold glyconanoparticle. This new material exhibited good anti-inflammatory activity which was comparable to that of the drug ibuprofen incarrageenan-induced paw edema in a rat model.

Paddy soil and irrigation water are commonly contaminated with hexavalent chromium[Cr(Ⅵ)]near urban industrial areas,thereby threatening the safety of agricultural products and human *** this study,we develop a porous and high specific area bone char(BC)to support nanoscale zero-valent iron(n ZVI)and apply it to remediate Cr(Ⅵ)pollution in water and paddy soil under anaerobic *** batch experiments reveal that BC/n ZVI exhibits a higher removal capacity of 516.7 mg/(g·n ZVI)for Cr(Ⅵ)than n ZVI when normalized to the actual n ZVI content,which is 2.8 times that of n ZVI;moreover,the highest n ZVI utilization is the n ZVI loading of 15%(BC/n ZVI15).The Cr(Ⅵ)removal efficiency of BC/n ZVI15 decreases with increasing p H(4–10).Coexisting ions(phosphate and carbonate)and humic acid can inhibit the removal of Cr(Ⅵ)with BC/n ***,BC exhibits a strong advantage in promoting Cr(Ⅵ)removal by n ZVI compared to the widely used biochar and activated *** results demonstrate that reduction and coprecipitation are the dominant Cr(Ⅵ)removal ***,BC/n ZVI15 shows a significantly higher reduction and removal efficiency as well as a strong anti-interference ability for Cr(Ⅵ)in paddy soil,as compared to n *** findings provide a new effective material for remediating Cr(Ⅵ)pollution from water and soil.

The present study focused on the segregation of the percentage of grains with chalkiness(PGWC),using Huanghuazhan as the female parent and CS197 as the male parent to construct the hybrid rice F2 *** markers were used for genotype analysis among the extremely low and extremely high PGWC individuals from the F2 *** results revealed that the genotypes of 10 extremely low PGWC individuals were 80.00%and 3.33%,which is identical to Huanghuazhan and CS197,*** heterozygotes accounted for 16.67%.On the contrary,the genotypes of 10 extremely high PGWC individuals were 37.78%and 32.22%,which is identical to Huanghuazhan and CS197,*** heterozygotes accounted for 30.00%.The extremely low and extremely high PGWC individuals had high coincidence with the corresponding F2:3 family lines in phenotype and *** electron microscopy(SEM)images showed that the shape and spacing of starch granules in the extreme low and high PGWC individuals corresponded to Huanghuazhan and CS197,*** analysis showed that the F2 individuals showed a normal distribution trending towards *** broad heritability sense was 26.31%,and the narrow heritability sense was 17.21%.The results of cluster analysis showed that the range of PGWC variations of group III based on phenotype varied from 5.66%to 50.00%with an average of 25.46%,and group II results based on genotype varied from 14.34%to 60.67%with an average of 32.33%.Groups II and III shared 28 identical individuals.

The inherent shortcomings of a zinc anode in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries(ZIBs)such as zinc dendrites and side reactions severely limit their practical ***,to address these issues,an ion‐oriented transport channel constructed by graphdiyne(GDY)nanowalls is designed and grown in situ on the surface of a zinc *** vertically stacked GDY nanowalls with a unique hierarchical porous structure and mechanical properties form a nanomesh‐like interface on the zinc electrode,acting as an ion‐oriented channel,which can efficiently confine the segmented growth of zinc metal in microscopic regions of hundreds of *** those microscopic regions,the uniform domain current density is effortlessly maintained compared with a large surface area,thereby inhibiting zinc dendrites ***,due to the presence of the ion‐oriented channel,the modified zinc anode demonstrates long‐term stable zinc plating/stripping performance for more than 600 h at 1 mAh cm^(−2)in an aqueous *** addition,full‐cells coupled with MnO2 show high specific capacity and power density,as well as excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention of 82%after 5000 cycles at 1 A g^(−1).This work provides a feasible and accessible surface engineering approach to modify the electrode interface for confined and dendrite‐free zinc deposition in aqueous ZIBs.

Increasing demand is fueling the booming polyurethane industry worldwide. An impeding issue for poly- urethane industry is how to handle the large quantity of hydrogen chloride byproduct generated from the synthesis of intermediates, i.e., isocyanates. In the meantime, the traditional chloro-alkaline process sufibrs both from the high en- ergy intensity of electrolysis method and the disparity in the chlorine and caustic soda market. To solve these prob- lems, the state-of-the-art chlorine recycling technologies are reviewed and compared. Approaches for cost-effective utilization of chlorine in polyurethane industry are investigated. Chinese academies and enterprises＇ on-going effort on the development of a novel hydrogen chloride oxidation process for the synthesis of chlorine is presented. With this process, the closed loop recycling of chlorine can be realized. Tremendous economic, environmental and social bene- fits can be expected. A wide adoption of this technology will significantly advance the sustainable development of polyurethane industry.

Effect of Microstructures on Corrosion Behavior of Nickel Coatings:(Ⅰ) Abnormal Grain Size Effect on Corrosion Behavior

Nickel coatings with different microstructures were synthesized by pulse jet electrodeposition *** morphology and microstructure were investigated by scanning electron microscopy（SEM）and transmission electron microscopy（TEM）.The corrosion property of the coatings was studied by using polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）,potential of zero free charge（PZFC） measurements and Mott-Schottky（M-S） *** results showed that the coating with grain size of 50 nm possessed higher corrosion resistance than that with grain size of 10 *** abnormal behavior may be related to the existence of nanoscale twins in the coatings and the lower concentration of acceptor in the passive films.

Endocrine-resistance remains a major challenge in estrogen receptorαpositive(ERα^(+))breast cancer(BC)treatment and constitutively active somatic mutations in ERαare a common *** is an urgent need to develop novel drugs with new mode of mechanism to fight *** aberrant ERαactivity,we herein report the identification of novel covalent selective estrogen receptor degraders(cSERDs)possessing the advantages of both covalent and degradation strategies.A highly potent cSERD 29c was identified with superior anti-proliferative activity than fulvestrant against a panel of ERa+breast cancer cell lines including mutant ERα.Crystal structure of ERα-29c complex alongside intact mass spectrometry revealed that 29c disrupted ERa protein homeostasis through covalent targeting C530 and strong hydrophobic interaction collied on H11,thus enforcing a unique antagonist conformation and driving the ERα*** significant effects of the cSERD on ERαhomeostasis,unlike typical ERαdegraders that occur directly via long side chains perturbing the morphology of H12,demonstrating a distinct mechanism of action(MoA).In vivo,29c showed potent antitumor activity in MCF-7 tumor xenograft models and low *** proof-of-principle study verifies that novel cSERDs offering new opportunities for the development of innovative therapies for endocrine-resistant BC.
