The paper calculates the number of production stages for measurement of production segmentation,and discusses and depicts the microscopic impacts and effects of production segmentation of labor division of the global value chain on enterprise *** DLW method is used to calculate the markup of Chinese enterprises,the fi xed-effect model is used to analyze the impact of labor division of the global value chain on enterprise markup,and an instrumental variable method is constructed to relieve *** research findings show that enterprises have significantly increased their markup by choosing global production segmentation,international production segmentation and domestic production *** production segmentation can significantly increase the markup of low-productivity enterprises,hi-tech enterprises and private ***,low-productivity enterprises choose international production segmentation and hi-tech enterprises choose domestic production *** segmentation can offset to a certain extent low markup of export enterprises and domestic-oriented enterprises caused by the“competition effect”.In addition,enterprises’“technological progress effect”and“trade cost effect”are two possible channels by which production segmentation facilitates the increase of *** paper enriches and expands the literature about the impacts of labor division of the global value chain on enterprise markup,the robustness is analyzed from the perspectives of enterprise heterogeneity,industrial&technical heterogeneity and structure,and the impact mechanism is validated through the intermediate effect *** important findings are of important implications for solving the“low markup trap”of Chinese enterprises and enhancing labor division of the global value chain of enterprises.

With the advent of Internet financial innovation,many commercial banks quietly have started to enter into the Ecommercial in order to prevent oligarchs from eroding financial *** the perspective of industrial division,this paper reveals the nature of a phenomenon that E-commercial enterprises and banks have stepped into each other's field,which E-commerce of banks can give full play to network *** it uses game theory to analyze the motions of banks to involve into E-commerce and the short-term competitive equilibrium of large incumbent Ecommercial enterprises as *** individual rationality,the dominant strategy of banks and E-commercial enterprises is(enter,counterattack).Considering network externalities,it constructs a competing model on banks and incumbent E-commercial enterprises and simulates competitive trends and balanced results of their behaviors,which illustrates that banks can obtain network effect after choosing E-commerce strategy.

AIM: To model clinical and economic benef its of capsule endoscopy (CE) compared to ileo-colonoscopy and small bowel follow-through (SBFT) for evaluation of suspected Crohn’s disease (CD). METHODS: Using decision analytic modeling, total and yearly costs of diagnostic work-up for suspected CD were calculated, including procedure-related adverse events, hospitalizations, off ice visits, and medications. The model compared CE to SBFT following ileo-colonoscopy and secondarily compared CE to SBFT for initial evaluation. RESULTS: Aggregate charges for newly diagnosed, medically managed patients are approximately $8295. Patients requiring aggressive medical management costs are $29 508; requiring hospitalization, $49 074. At sensitivity > 98.7% and specifi city of > 86.4%, CE is less costly than SBFT. CONCLUSION: Costs of CE for diagnostic evaluationof suspected CD is comparable to SBFT and may be used immediately following ileo-colonoscopy.

Continuous Subcutaneous Administration of Miso Extracts Attenuates Salt-Induced Hypertension in Dahl Salt-Sensitive Rats

Objective: Long-term intake of Miso attenuates hypertension in Dahl salt-sensitive (Dahl S) rats through an increased urinary sodium excretion. We examined whether a bolus injection into the peritoneal cavity (i.p.) or a continuous subcutaneous infusion of a Miso extract attenuates hypertension in Dahl S rats. Materials and Methods: We investigated the effects of a bolus, i.p. injection of 50 mg Miso extract in 0.5 mL on hypertension in Dahl S rats, and examined whether a long-term subcutaneous infusion of the Miso extract (50 mg Miso/day), using an osmotic mini-pump working for 14 days, attenuates hypertension in Dahl S rats. Results: A bolus, i.p. injection of 50 mg Miso extract decreased SBP in 2 hrs. The reduction was significant at 4 hrs, and SBP returned to the baseline at 24 hrs. The SBP reduction at 4 hrs after the injection was increasingly greater each day during the 4 days. The SBP reduction by the Miso extract was dose-dependent and the antihy-pertensive activity occurs in a <5 kDa fraction of the extract. The subcutaneous infusion of 50 mg Miso extract/day for 14 days significantly attenuated hypertension in Dahl S rats. The SBP reduction was associated with significant decreases in the heart and kidney weights. Urinary protein excretion significantly decreased in the Miso group. The SBP reduction was not associated with increases in either urinary sodium excretion or fractional excretion of sodium. Conclusions: SBP reduction by very low-dose of the Miso extract may be mediated partly by mechanisms other than renal sodium handling.

Low Salt Diet in Pregnant Mothers Is Associated with Enhanced Salt Appetite in Their Offspring of Dahl Salt-Sensitive Rats

Objectives: We investigated an influence of salt intake during gestation or lactation in salt preference of weaning Dahl salt sensitive (Dahl S) strain. Material and Methods: Nine-week-old female Dahl S rats, after mated with the male, were divided into 1) high-salt group fed a 4% NaCl diet (high-salt mother) or 2) low-salt group fed a 0.3% NaCl diet (low-salt mother) during gestation or lactation periods. Using 0.4%, 0.6% and 0.8% (w/v) saline solutions, we assessed salt preference in their offspring after weaning. Systolic blood pressure (SBP) was determined by tail cuff method. Results: Both the male and female offspring from low-salt mothers during gestation consumed equal amounts of any saline solution. However, the amount of each saline solution was higher in the offspring of low-salt mothers than those of high-salt mothers. This resulted in a significant increase of salt intake in both the male and female offspring of low-salt mothers compared with those of high-salt mothers. In contrast, both the male and female offspring from low-mothers during lactation rather preferred the lower concentration of saline solution, and this resulted in less salt intake in the offspring of low-salt mothers than those of high-salt mothers. Conclusions: We demonstrated that low salt diet in pregnant mothers increased salt intake of their offspring. The offspring of mothers fed a low salt diet during lactation had less salt than those of high-salt mothers. The influence of salt intake of mothers in their offspring varies along with the growth stage of their babies.

Fiscal system plays a fundamentally important role in state governance,balancing a sound relationship between governments and markets,between governments and society,and between the central government and the local governments. Fiscal reform and decentralization aims to optimize the game play,more specifically the fiscal authority division,fiscal revenue distribution and related responsibility sharing between the central and local governments. By examining the fiscal authority division between the central and local governments at different stages in China’s fiscal and taxation reform,this paper proposes that people’s legal awareness should be further strengthened during the process of building a more integrated fiscal and taxation system that divides fiscal authority,fiscal revenues,and fiscal responsibilities more effectively. Efforts should also be made to develop more effective assessment criteria for evaluating local officials’ political performances,speed up the fiscal reform at the provincial level and below,and build a sound taxation system at the local level.
