As rice consumption increases,ensuring its safety has become a priority for the food *** address this concern,the industry is exploring a single-pass microbial inactivation treatment at the rough rice *** this study,a long-grain rice variety,RT7321[21.2%wet basis(WB)and a 20 mm bed thickness]was exposed to microwave radiation(915 MHz frequency)at powers of 16,18,and 20 kW for durations of 1,2,and 3 *** found that the highest microwave power(20 kW)and the longest exposure duration(3 min)produced the greatest reduction in total aerobic count and total fungal count,reducing them by up to 1.21 and 5.01 log(CFU/g),*** findings provided insights into the used to high-power,shortduration 915 MHz microwave technology for decontamination purposes in rough rice to help improve the microbial safety of *** aim is to develop a single-pass drying approach for microbial inactivation in rice processing facilities while ensuring that the yield and quality is not compromised.

Objective:To elucidate the relationship among knowledge,attitudes,and practices regarding Covid-19 and their relationship with booster vaccination status among women with ***:This questionnaire-based cross-sectional study was performed online and offline among women with infertility who visited an infertility clinic in Jakarta,*** assessed the patient’s knowledge,attitudes,and practices regarding Covid-19 and their relationship with booster vaccination status and sociodemographic ***:A total of 178 subjects participated in this study,and most participants(92.6%)had received booster Covid-19 *** the questionnaire,74.2%had good knowledge,and 99.4%had good attitudes regarding Covid-19;however,only 57.9%of patients had good practices.A weak positive correlation existed between knowledge and attitudes(r=0.11,P=0.13)and a moderate negative correlation between attitudes and practices(r=-0.44,P=0.56).Participants’knowledge about vaccines and infertility was correlated with booster vaccination status(P=0.04).Academic background(P=0.01)and attitudes(P=0.01)were also correlated with booster vaccination *** significant determinants of hesitance of receiving Covid-19 booster vaccines were high school education or below(OR=0.08,95%CI 0.02-0.36)and poor practices(OR=0.21,95%CI 0.05-0.95).Conclusions:The majority of the participants had received the Covid-19 booster vaccine and had good knowledge and attitudes but poor practices regarding *** participants had poor knowledge about the relationship between infertility and the Covid-19 *** general population should be more informed and reminded about practices to prevent Covid-19 and the relationship between vaccination and fertility to increase the number of people who receive Covid-19 booster vaccines.

The recent increase in placenta accreta spectrum has been correlated with a rise in the rate of cesarean sections.A recent study provides evidence that hampered wound healing results in cesarean scar defects that lead to a failure in the normal process of decidualization and deeper adherence of *** metalloproteinase(MMP)is crucial in every step of wound healing as it alters the wound matrix,facilitating cell migration,as well as tissue ***-9 expression is higher in placental and decidual tissue in cases of placenta *** on these findings,assessment of MMP-9 expression can shed new light on the etiopathology of placenta accreta spectrum disorder and can be a potential diagnostic marker.

High intraocular pressure causes retinal ganglion cell injury in primary and secondary glaucoma diseases,yet the molecular landscape characteristics of retinal cells under high intraocular pressure remain *** models of acute hypertension ocular pressure were established by injection of cross-linked hyaluronic acid hydrogel(Healaflow■).Single-cell RNA sequencing was then used to describe the cellular composition and molecular profile of the retina following high intraocular *** results identified a total of 12 cell types,namely retinal pigment epithelial cells,rod-photoreceptor cells,bipolar cells,Müller cells,microglia,cone-photoreceptor cells,retinal ganglion cells,endothelial cells,retinal progenitor cells,oligodendrocytes,pericytes,and *** single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of the retina under acute high intraocular pressure revealed obvious changes in the proportions of various retinal cells,with ganglion cells decreased by 23%.Hematoxylin and eosin staining and TUNEL staining confirmed the damage to retinal ganglion cells under high intraocular *** extracted data from retinal ganglion cells and analyzed the retinal ganglion cell cluster with the most distinct *** found upregulation of the B3gat2 gene,which is associated with neuronal migration and adhesion,and downregulation of the Tsc22d gene,which participates in inhibition of *** study is the first to reveal molecular changes and intercellular interactions in the retina under high intraocular *** data contribute to understanding of the molecular mechanism of retinal injury induced by high intraocular pressure and will benefit the development of novel therapies.

Comparison of complications after Ahmed versus Baerveldt implant in glaucoma patients:one year follow-up

AIM:To compare surgical results of the Ahmed and Baerveldt implant procedures in glaucoma patients at 1 y follow-up at Jakarta Eye Center(JEC)Eye ***:This cohort retrospective study was conducted on glaucoma patients aged≥18 y who had undergone Ahmed and Baerveldt implant *** pressure(IOP),visual acuity,glaucoma medication,success rate,early and late postoperative complications,and the number of resurgeries were ***:A total of 351 eyes in the Ahmed group and 94 eyes in the Baerveldt group were included in this *** 1 y follow-up,the mean IOP was found to be significantly lower in the Baerveldt group(13±4.47 mm Hg)compared to the Ahmed group(15.02±5.73 mm Hg;P=0.025).glaucoma medication was required in both the Ahmed and Baerveldt groups(58.92%vs 71.67%).Comparable success rate was found in both *** Ahmed group revealed a complete and qualified success of 86.82%,and failure of 13.17%.Similarly,the Baerveldt group showed complete and qualified success in 87.75%and failure in 12.25%*** the Ahmed group,11.97%early complications,26.06%late complications and 9.97%resurgeries were *** comparison,in the Baerveldt group,23.40%early complications,30.95%late complications and 11.70%resurgeries were ***:Both groups of glaucoma implants show significant IOP reduction,however,the Baerveldt implant group demonstrates greater IOP reduction with more failure rates and complications than the Ahmed implant group.
