A series of indazol-2-yl（pyridin-4-yl）methanones, 4 were acquired from 2,6-bisbenzylidene cyclohex- anones, 3 and anti-tubercular drug （isoniazid）, and their anti-tubercular impacts were screened. Among the test compounds used against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37 Ra cell line in the microplate alamar blue assay, the compounds 4g-j revealed moderate anti-tubercular activity with MIC 12.5 μg/mL, comparable to standard drugs （streptomycin, MIC, 6.25 μg/mL, pyrazinamide, isoniazid and ciprofloxacin with MICs of 3.125 μg/mL）.

This report describes triethylammonium acetate （TEAA） ionic liquid catalyzed one pot synthesis of 6-amino-4-aryl-5-cyano-3- methyl-1-phenyl-1,4-dihydropyrano [2,3-c]pyrazoles by the reaction of aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile and 3-methyl-1-phenyl-2- pyrazolin-5-one at room temperature. TEAA plays dual role as reaction media and catalyst. It can also be easily recovered and reused in several runs. TEAA provides greener reaction protocol to present methodology which obviates the need of organic solvents, expensive and toxic catalyst.

A new solvothermal post-synthesis treatment for preparing high aspect ratio magnesium aluminium layered double hydroxides(Mg Al–LDHs) has been developed. Treating laurate-intercalated Mg Al–LDHs in pure ethanol in an autoclave for 48 h at 150 °C was found to produce delaminated MgA l–LDH nanosheets with a thickness of ~2.6 nm and an aspect ratio of ~105. It is proposed that the high pressure solvothermal process promotes the insertion of ethanol molecules into the LDH interlayer space, thereby facilitating delamination. This new post-synthesis treatment provides the opportunity for a facile, large scale route to highly delaminated high aspect ratio LDHs, which might be of interest towards novel nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage.

Lightweight aerogels feature multifunctionality and a high porosity,yet accompanied with poor structure recovery under large strain *** this work,we develop an air bubble-ice crystal dual template and annealing strategy to integrate low density and high resilience for the conductive transition metal carbides/nitrides(MXene)composite *** air bubbles and ice crystals synergistically exclude the nanosheets to the gas-liquid interfaces,thereby constructing unique Y-shaped junctions and robust *** annealing process greatly enhances the interlayer *** external load,the Yshaped structures prevent the stress concentration at the junctions by transferring the forces to the skeleton for maintaining structural *** addition,the wrinkled and thick cell walls,together with the enhanced interlayer interactions,endow the aerogel with exceptional structural stability and *** a result,the MXene/reduced graphene oxide(RGO)composite aerogels exhibit superelasticity with reversible compressive strains of up to 95%.In addition,the electron bridging effect of the RGO sheets affords the aerogel to deliver excellent electromagnetic interference shielding performance,as high as 46.3 dB at 2.5 ***,the remarkable reshapeability of the aerogels allows for precise regulation of structure and performance(33.5-75.1 dB)by a simple wetting compression *** summary,this work offers helpful inspirations for developing lightweight and superelasticity aerogels for extensive applications.

Sialylation is one of important glycosylation in human beings and plays an important role in cancer development. α2,3-Linked and α2,6-linked sialic acids are normally observed on the end of N-glycans and have different functions. Derivatization on sialic acid was designed to detect the different linkages by MALDI-TOF MS. In this study, a two-step derivatization by dimethylamine and ammonium hydroxide was improved to modify the sialic acid and made it easier to detect the different linkages of sialic acids on MALDI-TOF MS. Using this derivatization method, specific sialic acids linkages on N-glycans of protein samples such as fetuin and lactoferrin were detected. For complex cell samples, increased a2,3-linked and a2,6-linked sialic acids on bi-antennary and tri-antennary N-glycans were observed in A549 cells induced by hypoxia environment. Taken together, our two-step derivatization of sialic acids offers a simple and accurate way to detect specific linkages on N-glycans with MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer.

A series of coumarin-derived azolyl ethanols including imidazolyl,triazolyl,tetrazolyl,benzotriazolyl,thiol-imidazolyl and thiol-triazolyl ones were conveniently synthesized and characterized by IR,~1H NMR,^(13)C NMR and high-resolution mass spectra(HRMS) *** of the prepared compounds showed appropriate logP_(ow) values and effective antibacterial and antifungal ***,compound 14 with bis-triazolyl ethanol group exhibited low minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)value of 8 μg/mL against MRSA,which was comparable or even superior to reference drugs Norfloxacin(MIC=8μg/mL)and chloramphenicol(MIC=16μg/mL).It could also effectively inhibit the growth of the tested fungal strains compared to *** binding studies of coumarin 14 with calf thymus DNA were investigated by UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence *** was found that compound 14 could interact with calf thymus DNA by groove binding to form14-DNA complex via both hydrogen bonds and van der Waals force,which might be the factor to exert the powerful antimicrobial activity.

Catalytic oxidative desulfurization of fuels in acidic deep eutectic solvents with [(C_6H_(13))_3P(C_(14)H_(29))]_3PMo_(12)O_(40) as a catalyst

Deep eutectic solvents(DESs) are a new class of green solvents analogous to ionic liquids due to their biodegradable capacity and low cost. However, the direct extractive desulfurization of diesel oil by DESs cannot meet the government’s standard. In this work, amphiphilic polyoxometalates were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR and mass *** oxidative desulfurization results showed that benzothiophene(BT) could be completely removed by employing a [(ch)P(ch)]PMoO, DES(chCl/2 Ac) and HOsystem. It was also found that the organic cation of catalysts played a positive role in oxidative desulfurization. The reaction conditions, such as reaction temperature and time, the amount of catalyst and DES and HO/S(O/S) molar ratio, were optimized. Different sulfides were tested to determine the desulfurization selectivity of the optimal reaction system, and it was found that 97.2% of dibenzothiophene(DBT) could be removed followed by 80.7% of 4-MDBT and 76.0% of 4,6-DMDBT. After reaction, the IR spectra showed that the catalyst [(ch)P(ch)]PMoOwas stable during the reaction process and the oxidative product was dibenzothiophene sulfone(DBTO). Furthermore, the catalyst can be regenerated and recycled for four runs with little loss of activity.

A method for fast determination of the component in complex samples by using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry （GC-MS） was developed and used for quantitative analysis of phenanthrene in soils. In the method, window independent component analysis （WICA） was used for resolving the mass spectrum and non-negative im- mune algorithm （NNIA） was employed for obtaining the chromatographic profile. Therefore, spectral and chroma- tographic information of a specific component can be obtained from the measured GC-MS data of overlapping and high background. Six soil samples collected from different places were analyzed. The tedious pretreatments in pre- paring the samples and the elution in the separation were simplified for speeding up the analysis. Due to the com- plexity of the matrix, standard addition method was adopted for the final quantification. The applicability of the method was validated with a spiked sample and the results of the six samples are reasonable.

This review discusses chiral-at-metal complexes and introduces enantiomorphs from assembly *** to the diverse coordination number and activity of metal ions as chiral centers, abundant structures for chiral selectivity, catalysis, and polarized light-response are the notable advantages of the chiral-at-metal complexes. The rational design and preparation of linear multi-dentate ligands is a good choice to improve the stability of chiral complexes, such as multi-bonding structure for high stability as a self-limiting system. The bio-significance and potential application of chiral-at-metal complexes are discussed, such as the synergistic effect of catalysis and chiral selectivity of the metal center in *** could be remolded to replace the original central metal ions with highly active rare earth or precious metal ions to form artificial metalloenzyme or to remove the ‘‘redundant" part around the metal center to improve the accessibility of substrate. The polarized light-response mechanism of chiral opsin is introduced in relation to its role in animal migration. Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) are crystalline and porous materials built from metal nodes or clusters and organic linkers and provide the possibility to prepare artificial enantiomorphs. The preparations, applications, and characterization methods of MOF enatiomorphs are therefore introduced. We hope this review inspires researchers at all levels of their career to consider the title topic in their own research in terms of its application and potential value.
