In patients with liver tumors,the histopathology examination can assist in diagnosis,staging,prognosis,and therapeutic management *** ultrasound(EUS)-guided tissue acquisition using fine needle aspiration(FNA)or more newly fine needle biopsy(FNB)is a well-developed technique in order to evaluate and differentiate the liver *** goal of the EUS-FNA or EUS-FNB is to provide an accurate sample for a histopathology ***,malignant tumors such as hepatocarcinoma,cholangiocarcinoma and liver metastasis or benign tumors such as liver adenoma,focal hyperplastic nodular tumors and cystic lesions can be accurately diagnosed using EUS-guided tissue ***-FNB using 19 or 22 Ga needle provide longer samples and a higher diagnostic accuracy in patients with liver masses when compared with *** data are available on the diagnostic accuracy of EUS-FNB when compared with percutaneously,ultrasound,computer tomography or transjugulary-guided liver *** review will discuss the EUS-guided tissue acquisition options in patients with liver tumors and its efficacy and safety in providing accurate *** results of the last studies comparing EUS-guided liver biopsy with other conventional techniques are *** EUS-guided tissue acquisition using FNB can be a suitable technique in suspected liver lesions in order to provide an accurate histopathology diagnosis,especially for those who require endoscopy.

Short-Term and Long-Term Effects of Natural and Artificial Carbonaceous Substrates on Greenhouse Gas Fluxes

An efficient and greener protocol for the synthesis of poly functionalized pyridines using tetra-n-butyl ammonium fluoride （TBAF） in water is established. Remarkable advantages of the present synthetic strategy over the others are shorter reaction times, higher isolated yields, reuse of catalytic system, simple work-up procedure and more especially its applicability to heteryl and aliphatic aldehydes.

Effect of Poly（ethylene glycol）-400 and Carbon on MoOz Nanocomposite Materials and Its Catalytic Activity for Biginelli Reactions

The effect of addition of poly（ethylene glycol）-400 （PEG-400） and carbon （0, 1, 2 and 3 wt%） as substrates were investigated systematically to get the desired phase of carbon-doped MoO3 material. The carbon source was prepared from the Acacia arabica plant wood. The resulting samples were calcined at 500 ℃. The effect of PEG-400 and carbon composite on the structure, particle size and morphology were investigated. The prepared samples were characterized by XRD, SEM-EDS and FT-IR techniques. The samples with PEG-400 and carbon ad- dition give better control of particle size and porosity. The prepared catalysts were tested for the synthesis of 3,4-dihydr.pyrimidones via the Biginelli-type condensation reaction. This new method consistently has the advan- tage of excellent yields （88%--93%） and short reaction times （1.5--3 h） than do classical Biginelli reaction conditions.

The prevalence of uncorrected refractive error in urban, suburban, exurban and rural primary school childr.n in Indonesian population

Uncorrected refractive error（URE） is a major health problem among school childr.n. This study was aimed to determine the frequency and patterns of URE across 4 gradients of residential densities（urban, exurban, suburban and rural）. This was a cross-sectional study of school childr.n from 3 districts in Yogyakarta and 1 district near Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The information regarding age, sex, school and school grader were recorded. The Snellen＇s chart was used to measure the visual acuity and to perform the subjective refraction. The district was then divided into urban, suburban, exurban and rural area based on their location and population. In total, 410 school childr.n were included in the analyses（urban=79, exurban=73, suburban=160 and rural=98 school childr.n）. Urban school childr.n revealed the worst visual acuity（P〈0.001） and it was significant when compared with exurban and rural. The proportion of URE among urban, suburban, exurban and rural area were 10.1%, 12.3%, 3.8%, and 1%, respectively, and it was significant when compared to the proportion of ametropia and corrected refractive error across residential densities（P=0.003）. The risk of URE development in urban, suburban, exurban, and rural were 2.218（95%CI： 0.914-5.385）, 3.019（95%CI： 1.266-7.197）, 0.502（95%CI： 0.195-1.293）, and 0.130（95%CI：0.017-0.972）, respectively. Urban school childr.n showed the worst visual acuity. The school childr.n in urban and suburban residential area had 2 and 3 times higher risk of developing the URE.

Emissions analysis on second generation biodiesel

This work investigates the effect of adding pentanol with biodiesel derived from cashew nut shell on its emissions characteristics is conducted in stationery diesel engine. The main purpose of this work is intended to reduce the emissions by fuelling biodiesel derived from cashew nut shell and the pentanol blends. Cashew nut shell biodiesel is prepared by transesterification process. Oxygenated additive used in the work is Pentanol. The experiment is con-ducted using four test fuels such-as, biodiesel derived from cashew nut shell （CNSBD）, a fuel containing 90% cashew nut shell biodiesel and 10% pentanol （CNSBD90P 10）, a fuel containing 80% cashew nut shell biodiesel and 20% pentanol （CNSBDSOP20） and neat diesel. Experimental work concluded that by adding 10% of pentanol to cashew nut shell biodiesel 10.1%, 2.6%, 5.1% and 2.1%reduction in CO, HC, NOx and Smoke emissions were observed respectively. Further by fueling with these blends, no modifications in engines were required.

A Review on the Role of Low Glycemic Index Foods for Glycemic Control in Chronic Liver Disease

Liver is an essential organ that maintains fasting and postprandial blood glucose response via various metabolic pathways. The liver function gradually deteriorates in chronic liver disease (CLD) due to inflammation and destruction of liver parenchyma. The development of glucose intolerance and hepatogenous diabetes (HD) in patients with CLD is an inevitable event. Diabetes and CLD can coexist, and function synergistically to cause unfavorable clinical consequences, including poor treatment outcomes and frequent hospitalization. The complications associated with liver disease (malnutrition, hypoglycemia, acute kidney injury, lactic acidosis, etc.) and lack of guidelines limit pharmacological management of HD. Dietary recommendations by The European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) guidelines (2019), suggested weight reducing hypocaloric diet along with adequate branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) and micronutrient consumption to improve steatosis and insulin sensitivity in patients with CLD. Dietary glycemic index controls prognosis of obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and diabetes. The importance of low GI diet in reducing fasting blood glucose, hepatic glucose influx and fat accumulation, thereby improving weight loss and NAFLD score, is being published in patients with diabetes or liver disease. Several countries have already incorporated GI into their national health policies, for identification of the nutrient value, resulting in establishment of worldwide GI and glycemic load tables for specific food items. However, the apparent complexity of GI and lack of low GI meal choices need to be resolved in order to enhance patient’s quality of life, health and well-being. Low GI nutritional supplements, comprising of balanced proportion of carbohydr.te, protein, BCAAs, fibers and micronutrients, may reduce the complexity related to dietary management of HD. Refrigerated and frozen storage impact aronia berry quality

Postharvest storage of many freshly picked berries affects polyphenol and sugar content. However, little is known about the impact of refrigerated and frozen storage on aronia berry composition. Therefore, the objective of this study was to characterize how storage at 4 ± 2 °C and − 20 ± 2 °C, and temperature cycles affect aronia berry polyphenols, total solid content, pH, titratable acidity, polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity, sugar content, acid content, color, and cell structure. Refrigerated storage reduced proanthocyanidins (21%), anthocyanins (36%), and total phenols (21%) after 12 weeks. Frozen storage increased polyphenols in the first 6 mo. of frozen storage but then decreased polyphenols at mo. 8 to levels similar to initial values. Frozen temperature cycling reduced anthocyanins 18% but did not affect total phenols or proanthocyanidins. Scanning electron microscopy analysis indicated temperature cycling induced cell damage, shrinking, and fusion. This disruption led to the release of anthocyanins inside the berry tissue. PPO activity did not significantly correlate with the decrease in polyphenol content during storage. °Brix did not significantly change during refrigeration and frozen storage but did during the 12th temperature cycle. Aronia berries’ pH and titratable acidity were affected more by refrigeration than frozen and temperature storage. The pH increased by 4% during refrigeration, and titratable acidity decreased by 17% at 12 weeks. In conclusion, refrigerated storage results in a modest reduction of aronia berry polyphenols, but absolute extractable polyphenols are stable for up to 8 months of frozen storage.
