Background: Breast cancer can metastasize to the esophagus and the mediastinum . EUS-guided FNA (EUS-FNA) is being used increasingly as a less invasive alter native to mediastinoscopy for procuring a tissue diagnosis of mediastinal diseas e and may be useful for the diagnosis of breast cancer metastatic to the esophagus and the mediastinum. Methods: Twelve women(age range 54-82 years) with a history of breast cancer presented with dy sphagia or other symptoms between 1 and 15 years after initial diagnosis and tre atment. CT and endoscopy with biopsies suggested a mediastinal mass or lymphaden opathy with extrinsic esophageal compression but failed to provide a tissue diag nosis. EUS-FNA was performed for ***: Cytologic evaluation of spe cimens obtained by EUSFNA confirmed breast cancer metastases in 11 of 12 patient s(91%). Recurrent disease was found in intramural masses and periesophageal lym ph nodes. No complication resulted from any EUS-FNA procedure. Conclusions: EUS -FNA is safe and effective for the diagnosis of breast cancer metastases to the esophagus and the mediastinum. EUS-FNA may be useful as a first-line method o f evaluation when breast cancer metastasis to the esophagus and the mediastinum is suspected.

Using data from a cross sectional survey and a prospective record linkage stu dy the aims of this study were to: (i) determine sources of advice and care for headaches in a population survey of adults, and (ii) investigate prospectively t he influences of headaches on general practice consultation in a 12 month follo w up of the responders to the population survey. A population based cross sect ional survey was mailed to 4885 adults (aged ≥18 years) with an adjusted respon se rate of 56%(n = 2662). The main outcome measures of interest were (i) selfre port advice and care seeking in the survey (ii) consultation with general pract itioner for headache and for other conditions in 12 month period subsequent to the survey. Reporting a recent GP consultation for headache was associated with younger age (mean: 46 vs 48 years), female gender (68%vs 60%), and greater hea dache severity as measured by frequency, pain, and associated disability. The commonest sources of advice an d care in the past were GPs (27%), opticians (21%), and pharmacists (8%). Con sultations for headache were not common in the 12 months following the survey ( n = 144); however, those reporting a recent headache were almost 4 times more li kely to consult subsequently with a headache than those not (relative risk; 95% CI: 3.7; 1.9, 7.0). Recent reporting of headache was also associated with an inc reased risk of consulting for mental disorders (1.7; 1.2, 2.6), diseases of the digestive (1.6; 1.1, 2.3) and respiratory system (1.4; 1.1, 1.8), and a decrease d risk of consulting for circulatory diseases (0.8; 0.7, 1.0). Only a minority o f headache sufferers consult their GP, regardless of severity, with opticians an d pharmacists being other important sources of information. Headache appears to have an additional impact upon GP workload through increased rates of consultati ons for nonheadache conditions amongst headache sufferers. Batches experiments were carried out to study the removal potentials of Moringa oleifera seed presscake( MOSP),the residual solids of Moringa oleifera seed after oil extraction used as a natural coagulant for the removal of two direct azo dyes including Direct Red-31( dr-31) and Direct Yellow-12( dy-12). The results indicated that the MOSP contained active proteins which were active agents and efficient for the removal of the two dyes. Higher temperature and lower p H were favorable for dye removal. The removal rates of the two dyes increased with the increasing MOSP dosage. Inorganic salts improved the dye removal efficiencies by the salt-in effect that prompted the release of proteins from the MOSP particles. Suspended solid simulated by kaolin decreased the dye removal efficiencies because of the competition for active sites of the MOSP between the kaolin particles and the dye molecules. The most likely mechanism for the removal of the two dyes by using MOSP as coagulant was a combined effect of adsorption and neutralisation of charges and the nucleation of the MOSP particles. The results provide new insight into the MOSP utilization and development of new coagulant for dye removal.

G×E Analysis of Growth Traits of Betula platyphylla Clones at Three Separated Sites in Northeastern China

To select elite materials,the growth traits of 32 Betula platyphylla clones at three separated northern sites in Northeast China were investigated and *** results showed that there were significant differences among all variation sources in the different investigated traits(P<0.01).Except for the carbon contents,all the coeffi-cients of phenotypic variation of the other investigated traits were higher than 10%.The repeatability of different traits ranged from 0.760 to *** analysis showed that tree height were significantly correlated with diameter at breast height,but neither was significantly correlated with leaf traits nor element *** main effects and multiplicative interaction analysis showed that genotype,environment and genotype×environment interactions were significantly different in diameter at breast height,which indicated that environment had a significant effect on *** assessment results showed that three clones with high and stable diameters at breast height were selected,and the genetic gains of diameter at breast height on sites Maoershan,Qingan,and Yongji were 21.24%,20.58%,and 38.65%,*** results could provide a theoretical basis for elite clone selection in *** and other broad leaved species.

The influence of spark plasma sintering(SPS)temperature on microstructure,hardness and corrosion behavior of a high-energy ball milled Mg-10wt%Al alloy was investigated in this *** holding time and sintering pressure for SPS were kept constant while varying the sintering temperature from 200 to 350℃.The grain size and microstructure were studied using X-ray diffraction analysis,scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,and Archimedes'based density *** behavior was investigated using potentiodynamic polarization *** nanocrystalline regime(grain size<100nm)was maintained even after SPS up to 350℃.The density of the alloy increased with increasing the SPS ***'hardness and corrosion performance improved up to 300℃ followed by a decrease after SPS at 350℃.Possible reasons for densification,strengthening,and corrosion behavior have been discussed in the light of reduced porosity and microstructural changes.

The archaea that can be readily cultivated in the laboratory are only a small fraction of the total diversity that exists in *** molecular ecology methods,such as metagenomic sequencing,can provide valuable information independent of cell cultivation,it is only through cultivation-based experiments that they may be fully characterized,both for their physiological and ecological ***,we report our efforts towards enriching and isolation of uncultivated archaea from marine sediments using a refined combination of conventional microbial cultivation ***,cells were retrieved from the sediment samples through a cell extraction procedure and the sediment-free mixed cells were then divided into different size-range fractions by successive filtration through 0.8µm,0.6µm and 0.2µm *** 16S rRNA gene analyses indicated noticeable retention of different archaeal groups in different *** each fraction,supplementation with a variety of defined substrates(e.g.,methane,sulfate,and lignin)and stepwise dilutions led to highly active enrichment cultures of several archaeal groups with Bathyarchaeota most prominently ***,using a roll-bottle technique,three co-cultures consisting of Bathyarchaeota(subgroup-8)and a bacterial species affiliated with either Pseudomonas or Glutamicibacter were *** results demonstrate that a combination of cell extraction,size fractionation,and roll-bottle isolation methods could be a useful protocol for the successful enrichment and isolation of numerous slow-growing archaeal groups from marine sediments.

Purpose-One of the challenging issues in computer vision and pattern recognition is face image *** studies based on face recognition were introduced in the past decades,but it has few classification issues in terms of poor ***,the authors proposed a novel model for face ***/methodology/approach-The proposed method consists of four major sections such as data acquisition,segmentation,feature extraction and ***,the images are transferred into grayscale images,and they pose issues that are eliminated by resizing the input *** contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization(CLAHE)utilizes the image preprocessing step,thereby eliminating unwanted noise and improving the image contrast ***,the active contour and level set-based segmentation(ALS)with neural network(NN)or ALS with NN algorithm is used for facial image ***,the four major kinds of feature descriptors are dominant color structure descriptors,scale-invariant feature transform descriptors,improved center-symmetric local binary patterns(ICSLBP)and histograms of gradients(HOG)are based on clour and texture ***,the support vector machine(SVM)with modified random forest(MRF)model for facial image ***-Experimentally,the proposed method performance is evaluated using different kinds of evaluation criterions such as accuracy,similarity index,dice similarity coefficient,precision,recall and F-score ***,the proposed method offers superior recognition performances than other state-of-art *** face recognition was analyzed with the metrics such as accuracy,precision,recall and F-score and attained 99.2,96,98 and 96%,***/value-The good facial recognition method is proposed in this research work to overcome threat to privacy,violation of rights and provide better security of data.

Magneto-luminescent molecules have significant applications in data storage and quantum ***,design of these bi-functional molecules coupled with magnetic behavior and photoluminescence is still *** this work,we report a metallofullerene dyErScN @In-C80 exhibiting single-molecule magnet (SMM) behavior and near-infrared *** dyErScN @Ih-C80,two functional lanthanide metal ions of dy^3+(SMM function) and Er^3+(luminescent function) are integrated inside a fullerene cage using a trimetallic nitride template,and its structure has been unambiguously characterized by single-crystal X-ray *** measurements revealed that dyErScN @Ih-C80 behaves as a SMM with a blocking temperature up to 9 K resulting from the intramolecular magnetic interaction between dy^3+ and Er^3+ ***,dyErScN @In-C80 exhibits temperature-dependent near-infrared emission around 1.5 pm with multiple splitting peaks from Er^3+,which arises from the influence of dy^3+ *** study provides a new strategy to synthesize new magneto-luminescent molecule materials.
