Overlapping infections of Mycobacterium canariasense and Nocardia farcinica in an immunocompetent patient:A case report

Paper Clinical Value of Color doppler Ultrasonography in Diagnosis of Lower Extremity Arterial Disease of Diabetes Patients

Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of color doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of diabetic lower extremity vascular diseases. Methods: 48 patients with diabetic lower extremity vascular disease admitted in our hos-pital from September 2018 to September 2019 were included in the study and divided into the observation group, and another 48 patients with the same period of health examination in our hospital were included in the study and divided into the control group. Both groups used color doppler ultrasound to detect the blood flow of lower extremity vessels. The incidence of blood flow, vascular diameter and stenosis, occlusion and arteriosclerosis of the lower extremity were observed. Results: The blood flow and vascular di-ameter of the lower extremity in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (p Conclusion: Color doppler ultrasound is of high diagnostic value in the diagnosis of diabetic lower extremity vascular diseases, and can be used to determine the blood flow of the lower extremity and the inner diameter of popliteal artery, thigh artery, dorsalis pedis artery and so on. At the same time, it can also clearly show the specific situation of vascular occlusion, arteriosclerosis and thrombosis, which is of great signif-icance for the prevention and diagnosis of lower extremity vascular lesions, and can provide the basis for the treatment of lower extremity vascular lesions.

Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of color doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of diabetic lower extremity vascular diseases. Methods: 48 patients with diabetic lower extremity vascular disease admitted in our hospital from September 2018 to September 2019 were included in the study and divided into the observation group, and another 48 patients with the same period of health examination in our hospital were included in the study and divided into the control group. Both groups used color doppler ultrasound to detect the blood flow of lower extremity vessels. The incidence of blood flow, vascular diameter and stenosis, occlusion and arteriosclerosis of the lower extremity were observed. Results: The blood flow and vascular diameter of the lower extremity in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group（p ＜ 0.05）. The incidence of vascular stenosis, vascular occlusion, thrombus, intimal thickening and plaque in the observation group was 85.42%, 22.92%, 10.42% and 93.75% respectively, which was significantly higher than that in the control group was 10.42%, 0.00%, 0.00% and 14.58%（p ＜ 0.05）. The incidence of lower extremity vascular lesions in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group（p ＜ 0.05）. Conclusion: Color doppler ultrasound is of high diagnostic value in the diagnosis of diabetic lower extremity vascular diseases, and can be used to determine the blood flow of the lower extremity and the inner diameter of popliteal artery, thigh artery, dorsalis pedis artery and so on. At the same time, it can also clearly show the specific situation of vascular occlusion, arteriosclerosis and thrombosis, which is of great significance for the prevention and diagnosis of lower extremity vascular lesions, and can provide the basis for the treatment of lower extremity vascular lesions.

Imaging features of IRIS caused by AIDS and complicated by tuberculosis

Immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome(IRIS), a common complication of AIDS, is further complicated by tuberculosis. Its clinical symptoms lack specificity but can be evaluated using diagnostic imaging. High-resolution computed tomography(HRCT) is useful in evaluating the morphology and internal microstructure of lesions associated with the syndrome, as well as the relationship of the internal microstructure with the surrounding tissues. This paper summarizes the present state and progress of imaging research on IRIS caused by AIDS and complicated by tuberculosis.

Probing the Kinematic Signatures of Planet Formation in the Gas Disk of MWC 480

The disk around MWC 480 has shown multiple substructures in both dust and gas observations,possibly suggesting ongoing planet formation in *** this paper,we explore the gas kinematics of the MWC 480 disk by analyzing the archival Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array observations of^(12)CO(J=2-1),^(13)CO(J=2-1),and C^(18)O(J=2-1).By modeling the line-of-sight velocities,inferred from the doppler shifts of the emission lines,we are able to decompose the three-dimensional(3D)velocity field of the disk into rotational,radial,and vertical *** analysis reveals the presence of large-scale gas flows in the(r,z)***,we identify potential meridional flows across various heights as traced by all three CO isotopologues in the 80–120 au region,possibly associated with ongoing planet formation activities in this ***,we find upward flows near 200 au for all three CO isotopologues,which may point to the presence of disk winds.

The addition of surface acoustic wave(SAW)technologies to microfluidics has greatly advanced lab-on-a-chip applications due to their unique and powerful attributes,including high-precision manipulation,versatility,integrability,biocompatibility,contactless nature,and rapid ***,the development of SAW microfluidic devices is limited by complex and time-consuming micro/nanofabrication techniques and access to cleanroom facilities for multistep photolithography and vacuum-based *** simplify the fabrication of SAW microfluidic devices with customizable dimensions and functions,we utilized the additive manufacturing technique of aerosol jet *** successfully fabricated customized SAW microfluidic devices of varying materials,including silver nanowires,graphene,and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS).To characterize and compare the acoustic actuation performance of these aerosol jet printed SAW microfluidic devices with their cleanroom-fabricated counterparts,the wave displacements and resonant frequencies of the different fabricated devices were directly measured through scanning laser doppler ***,to exhibit the capability of the aerosol jet printed devices for lab-on-a-chip applications,we successfully conducted acoustic streaming and particle concentration ***,we demonstrated a novel solution-based,direct-write,single-step,cleanroom-free additive manufacturing technique to rapidly develop SAW microfluidic devices that shows viability for applications in the fields of biology,chemistry,engineering,and medicine.

In recent years,the increased high-rate wireless services(5G and 6G) and reliable sensing capabilities(automotive radar,air traffic control,geophysical monitoring),have led to more serious spectrum ***,radars and communication systems are often seen to be “competing” for the same *** this scenario,an integrated platform for radar and communication systems seems to be an optimal solution to address the *** this paper,we propose a preamble waveform design based on zero-correlation zone(ZCZ) and zero odd-correlation zone(ZOCZ) sequence sets,which are doppler resilient in multiple-input,multiple-output(MIMO) *** preamble waveforms can be simultaneously used for channel estimation and radar sensing in RadCom *** ambiguity function of the proposed waveforms displays low/zero sidelobes within a time-delay correlation ***,we give some numerical results to show the efficiency of the proposed waveforms in radar sensing and channel estimation.

Rotational doppler effect of composite vortex beams with tailored OAM spectra

There recently has been increasing interest in the research and application of the rotational doppler effect(RDE),which paves a promising way to detect rotating objects *** order to obtain more information about the rotating object from the rotational doppler signal,composite vortex beams by coaxial superposition of orbital angular momentum(OAM)modes are often used as the probe ***,to the best of our knowledge,the RDE of composite vortex beams with arbitrary OAM spectra has not yet been comprehensively *** this paper,the correspondence between the OAM spectrum of a probe beam and the frequency spectrum of a rotational doppler signal is theoretically *** is explicitly revealed that the RDE frequency spectrum of scattered light is related to the product of two autocorrelation functions:one from the OAM spectrum of probe beam and the other from the spiral spectrum of rotating *** the basis of this relation,one can regulate the RDE frequency spectrum on demand via tailoring the OAM spectrum of the probe *** a proof of concept we design a special composite vortex beam to eliminate the broadening of the RDE spectrum induced by *** findings are of practical value in applications such as remote sensing and optical metrology.

Boulder-induced form roughness and skin shear stresses in a gravel-bed stream

Boulder spacing in mountain rivers and near-wake flow zones within the boulder array is very useful for fish habitat and growth of aquatic *** present study aims to investigate how the boulder array and spacing influence the near-bed flow structures in a gravel-bed *** are staggered over a gravel-bed stream with three different inter-boulder spacing namely(a)large(b)medium and(c)small *** acoustic doppler velocimeter was used for flow measurements in a rectangular channel and the results were compared with those acquired from numerical *** time-averaged velocity profiles at the near-wake flow zones of boulders experience maximum flow retardation which is an outcome of the boulder-induced form *** ratio of velocity differences associated to form and skin roughness and its positive magnitude reveals the dominance of form roughness closest to the *** roughness computed is 1.75 to 2 times higher than the skin roughness at the near-wake flow *** particular,the collective immobile boulders placed at different inter-boulder spacings developed high and low bed shear stresses closest to the *** low bed shear stresses characterised by a secondary peak developed at the trough location of the boulders is attributed to the skin shear ***,the spatial averaging of time-averaged flow quantities gives additional impetus to present an improved illustration of fluid shear *** formation of form-induced shear stress is estimated to be 17%to 23%of doubleaveraged Reynolds shear stress and partially compensates for the damping of time-averaged Reynolds shear stress in the interfacial *** quadrant analysis of spatial velocity fluctuations depicts that the form-induced shear stresses are dominant in the interfacial sub-layer and have no significance above the gravel-bed surface.
