Economic sharing of honors: Equal or Exclusive?

The objective of this study is to examine whether and how non-financial performances,specifically the awards achieved by the corporates,are associated with the distribution of the compensation of the managers and other employees within the *** an investigation of the correlation between corporate awards and compensation,we find that corporate awards as collective honors raise managers’compensation but significantly reduce non-managerial compensation,thus widening the pay gap within the *** empirical evidence also shows that these correlations are more significant in state-owned enterprises than non-state-owned *** addition,our evidence reveals that although corporate awards increase the stickiness of managers’compensation but not that of other employees,the corporate awards can still stimulate better financial performance and market value by motivating both managers and other *** empirical evidence implies that because only managers are responsible for and evaluated by comprehensive corporate performance,the issues of fairness and efficiency are not raised when the economic benefits provided by corporate awards are unequally shared.

Background:Online lending(P2P lending)is a type of internet finance mainly used to meet the financial needs of small and medium-sized enterprises and groups of *** is a supplement to the traditional financial ***:This paper uses ***—the most influential online lending platform in China—as a research object to study the leading factors that affect lenders’loan trust and perception of information *** also studies the impacts of these factors on lending ***:The results of this study show that the lending intention is mainly influenced by trust;perceived information asymmetry will affect trust,but it will not have a direct impact on lending *** is significantly affected by the borrowers’reputation and information *** asymmetry has various causes,including structural assurance and *** perception of information asymmetry significantly prevents the further development of online P2P ***:The findings in this research imply that there are profound differences between online lending and online purchasing,thus the results obtained in the traditional e-commerce market cannot be applied in the field of online lending without verification.

With China’s listed companies from 2005 to 2015 as samples, this paperinvestigates how air quality influences labor cost based on city-level air quality data. Ourstudy finds a significant negative correlation between air quality and corporate employeecompensation - such a negative correlation is particularly strong in regions whereemployees are more rights-conscious and for companies that are non-labor-intensive. Byadjusting employee compensation according to air quality, firms will increase their futurecorporate value. In addition, air quality has significantly differentiated effects on employeecompensation for firms of different ownership nature and different level of cash on *** research reveals that the effects mainly stem from poor air quality. In general,extreme air quality changes will lead to a difference of 14,210 yuan in the annual averagecompensation to employees from sample companies, or a labor cost difference of around23 trillion yuan for all companies nationwide during the sample period. Our researchconclusions have broadened the scope of research on how air quality influences firmbehavior, and provide empirical reference for employee motivation and cost management,as well as empirical evidences for China’s policy principle that “lucid waters and lushmountains are invaluable assets”.

Research on the Consumers Willingness to Buy Traceable Pork with Different Quality Information:A Case Study of Consumers in Weifang, Shandong Province

Based on the value-chain framework, the innovation system was divided into two interactive sub-phases: upstream research and development process and downstream technological commercialization process. By introducing network DEA model, we computed the R&D, the technological commercialization and overall innovation efficiencies for 13 cities of Jiangsu province. The findings were presented as follows. From general prospective, none of innovation R&D efficiency, technological commercialization efficiency or overall innovation efficiency was high. From the trend prospective, recent years the trend of Jiangsu’s innovation efficiency and economic cycle showed synchronicity. From the value chain prospective, upstream R&D efficiency did not show relation with downstream technological commercialization efficiency, and showed obvious inconsistencies, and the technological commercialization efficiency played a more important contribution to overall innovation efficiency than R&D efficiency. From the innovation regional prospective, the overall innovation efficiency showed obvious regional distinction, southern Jiangsu ranked first, followed by central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu. This was the same with the level of economic development.

The traceability system can effectively reduce the food safety risks, however, it is confronted with various problems during its implementation. In this context, the paper carries out a case study of consumers in Weifang, Shandong Province, and studies their willingness to pay the traceable pork with different quality information. The results indicate that, the consumers show high expectations towards the introduction of traceability system, and they tend to buy the traceable pork only with breeding and slaughter information; their behaviors of purchase are greatly influenced by the following factors: the consumers education, age, income, attention on food safety and whether there are pregnant family members, etc..
