The rational design of a specific co-drug delivery platform that can address the unavoidable resistance, toxic side effects and low targeting efficiency of traditional cancer treatments is of great ***, Zn-based MOF-zeolitic imidazole framework-90(ZIF-90) was selected as the drug delivery carrier, with the cancer therapeutic drug mercaptopurine(6-MP) and glucose oxidase(GOD) as the drug models, hyaluronic acid(HA) was used for protection and targeted delivery, which designed and fabricated an intelligent drug delivery platform(6-MP@ZIF-90@GOD@HA). This platform aims to reduce the toxic side effects of 6-MP and enhance its efficacy while improving the targeting ability of GOD,thereby further enhancing the treatment outcome. Notably,results from both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that the targeted synergistic chemo/reactive oxygen species(ROS)-mediated/starvation therapy inhibited the cancer cell growth while reducing the chemotherapy toxicity, which provides new possibilities for the development of more precise and effective treatment strategies.

Immunotherapy has attracted wide attention because it can not only kill tumor cells but also effectively prevent tumor recurrence. However, due to the poor efficacy of the monotherapy in tumor immunotherapy, combination therapies are needed to enhance their efficacy,such as chemodynamic therapy/immunotherapy, photodynamic therapy/immunotherapy, sonodynamic therapy/immunotherapy and so on. Nanoscale metal–organic frameworks(nMOFs) are widely used for drug delivery because of their rich and variable composition, high drug loading capacity and good biodegradability. Compared with other conventional drug delivery systems(DDSs),nMOFs play more advantageous role in inducing immune cell death of tumor cells and combination therapies. This article focuses on the application of n MOFs in tumor immunotherapy in terms of their use as gatekeepers, supplementary agents and drug carriers, respectively, with the aim of providing some ideas and references for the design of smart nanoscale DDS for tumor immunotherapy.

A Transformer-Based Ensemble Framework for the Prediction of Protein-Protein Interaction Sites

The identification of protein-protein interaction (PPI) sites is essential in the research of protein function and the discovery of new drugs. So far, a variety of computational tools based on machine learning have been developed to accelerate the identification of PPI sites. However, existing methods suffer from the low predictive accuracy or the limited scope of application. Specifically, some methods learned only global or local sequential features, leading to low predictive accuracy, while others achieved improved performance by extracting residue interactions from structures but were limited in their application scope for the serious dependence on precise structure information. There is an urgent need to develop a method that integrates comprehensive information to realize proteome-wide accurate profiling of PPI sites. Herein, a novel ensemble framework for PPI sites prediction, EnsemPPIS, was therefore proposed based on transformer and gated convolutional networks. EnsemPPIS can effectively capture not only global and local patterns but also residue interactions. Specifically, EnsemPPIS was unique in (a) extracting residue interactions from protein sequences with transformer and (b) further integrating global and local sequential features with the ensemble learning strategy. Compared with various existing methods, EnsemPPIS exhibited either superior performance or broader applicability on multiple PPI sites prediction tasks. Moreover, pattern analysis based on the interpretability of EnsemPPIS demonstrated that EnsemPPIS was fully capable of learning residue interactions within the local structure of PPI sites using only sequence information. Efforts are underway to establish a permanent lunar base on the Moon. In situ lunar regolith is anticipated to be useful as a building material after sintering. However, sintering lunar regolith into a large-scale structure presents challenges. Therefore, the key to lunar construction lies in assembling multiple small-sized sintered modules into a stable, large-sized structure. This study explored the feasibility of welding the sintered HUST-1 lunar regolith simulant(HLRS) using a laser device and conducted experiments using lasers of varying power. The microstructure, mineral composition, element distribution, and shear strength of the welded joint were investigated. A few low-melting minerals were fused and vaporized during welding, leading to the generation of thermal decomposition gas. Furthermore, the welded joint exhibited numerous micro-cracks, pores, and bubbles,resulting in reduced weld shear strength. Finally, the influence of laser power on weld shear strength was investigated, revealing that the highest shear strength(15.69 N/cm) was achieved at a laser power of 1000 W. This study demonstrates the feasibility of laser welding of sintered HLRS for the first time, with potential applications in lunar base construction.

Influence of syngas components and ash particles on the radiative heat transfer in a radiant syngas cooler

Radiant syngas cooler(RSC)is widely used as a waste heat recovery equipment in industrial *** this work,an RSC with radiation screens is established and the impact of gaseous radiative property models,gas components,and ash particles on heat transfer is investigated by the numerical simulation *** the syngas components and the pressure environment of the RSC,a modified weighted-sum-of-gray-gases model was *** modified model shows high accuracy in *** computational fluid dynamics simulation,the calculated steam production is only 0.63%in error with the industrial *** with Smith's model,the temperature decay along the axial direction calculated by the modified model is *** components are of great significance to heat recovery capacity,especially when the absorbing gas fraction is less than 10%.After considering the influence of particles,the outlet temperature and the proportion of radiative heat transfer are less affected,but the difference in steam output reaches 2.7 t·h^(-1).The particle deposition on the wall greatly reduces the heat recovery performance of an RSC.

Intranasal boosting with RBD-HR protein vaccine elicits robust mucosal and systemic immune responses

The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)variants has decreased the efficacy of SARs-CoV-2 vaccines in containing coronavirus disease 2019(CoVID-19)over time,and booster vaccination strategies are urgently necessitated to achieve sufficient *** immunization can improvemucosal immunity,offer-ing protection against the infection and sustaining the spread of *** this study,an intranasal booster of the RBD-HR vaccine after two doses of the mRNA vaccine significantly increased the levels of specific binding antibodies in serum,nasal lavage fluid,and bronchoal-veolar lavage fluid compared with only two doses of mRNA *** intranasal boosting with the RBD-HR vaccine,the levels of serum neutralizing antibodies against prototype and variant strains of SARS-Cov-2 pseudoviruses weremarkedly higher than those in mice receiving mRNA vaccine alone,and intranasal boosting with the RBD-HR vaccine also inhibited the bind-ing of RBD to hACE2 ***,the heterologous intranasal immunization regimen promoted extensive memory T cell responses and activated CD103+dendritic cells in the respiratory mucosa,and potently enhanced the formation of T follicular helper cells and germinal center B cells in vital immune organs,including mediastinal lymph nodes,inguinal lymph nodes,and ***,these data infer that heterologous intranasal boosting with the RBD-HR vaccine elicited broad protective immunity against SARS-CoV-2 both locallyandsystemically.

The effect of platinum （a rare metal）–aluminide coating parameters on the tensile properties of nickel-based superalloy Rene?80 was evaluated at 871。*** this purpose,initial layers of platinum with different thicknesses （2,4,6 and 8μm） were coated on tensile samples Then,low-temperature high-activity （LTHA） and hightemperature low-activity （HTLA） processes were used for *** of microstructural evaluations using scanning electron microscope （SEM） and phase analysis by X-ray diffraction （XRD） showed a three-layer structure coating for different platinum layer thicknesses and both aluminizing *** the thickness of the platinum layer from 2 to 8μm led to the improvement in the final coating thickness from 91.6 to 102.1μm in *** increase was from 128.1 to 148.6 μm in *** results of hot tensile tests at 871℃ showed a decrease in strength properties of the coated samples compared to the uncoated ***,HTLA and high thicknesses of the initial platinum layer showed an intense *** results of fractographic evaluations abou uncoated samples showed a ductile *** the other hand,coated samples showed a simultaneous ductile and brittle fracture failure *** the main fracture morphology was brittle cleavage fracture which was for the HTLA.

This study aims to estimate monthly averaged daily horizontal global solar *** climatological data collected at twelve major cities located across Libya’s map were used to establish 7 different empirical *** empirical coefficients of the models were calculated using the least square *** accuracy of the models was evaluated using different statistical criteria such as Taylor diagram,mean absolute percentage error,MAPE,and root mean square error,*** results indicated that the sunshine duration-based models are more accurate than air temperature-based models,and the best performance was obtained by the quadratic regression model for all twelve Libyan ***,this regression model can be used for the prediction of monthly mean horizontal global solar radiation at a specific site across Libya’s regions with minimum ***,the results of the global solar irradiance produced by this method can be used for designing solar systems applications.
