Traditional laparoscopic radical prostatectomy is a treatment choice in many developing countries and regions for most patients with localized prostate cancer; however, no system for predicting surgical difficulty and risk has been established. This study aimed to propose a simple and standard preoperative classification system of prostate cancer using preoperative data to predict surgical difficulty and risk and to evaluate the relationship between the data and postoperative complications. We collected data from 236 patients and divided them into three groups to evaluate and validate the relationships among preoperative, operative, and postoperative data. This new scoring system is based on the body mass index, ultrasonic prostate volume, preoperative prostate-specific antigen level, middle lobe protrusion, and clinical stage. In the scoring group, we classified 89 patients into two groups： the low-risk group （score of 〈4） and high-risk group （score of ~4）, and then compared the postoperative data between the two groups. The positive surgical margin rate was higher in the high-risk group than low-risk group. The results in validation Groups A and B were similar to those in the scoring group. The focus of our scoring system is to allow for preliminary assessment of surgical difficulty by collecting the patients＇ basic information. Urologists can easily use the scoring system to evaluate the surgical difficulty and predict the risks of a positive surgical margin and urinary incontinence in patients undergoing laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.

Objective:To explore the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic on the training experiences of urology residents in ***:A cross-sectional study using a web-based questionnaire(SurveyMonkey)involved all registered urology residents in *** questionnaire was structured in Bahasa Indonesia,composed of 28 questions,and divided into three sections:demographic characteristics,current daily activities,and opinions regarding training experiences during the COVID-19 *** survey was distributed to all respondents via chief of residents in each urology center from May 26,2020 to Jun 2,***:Of the total 247 registered urology residents,243 were eligible for the *** response and completeness rate for this study were 243/243(100%).The median age of respondents was 30(range:24e38)years old,and 92.2%of them were *** them,6(2.5%)respondents were confirmed as COVID-19 positive.A decrease in residents’involvement in clinical and surgical activities was distinguishable in endourological and open *** educational activities were switched to web-based video conferences,while others opted for the in-person *** learning methods,such as joining a national or international speaker webinar or watching a recorded video,were used by 93.8%and 80.7%of the respondents,*** respondents thought that educational activities using web-based video conferences and smart learning methods were effective methods of ***,the respondents felt unsure whether training experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic were comparable to the respective period ***:The COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected urology residents’training ***,it also opened up new possibilities for incorporating new learning methodologies in the future.

Aim: To study the effect of extra-corporeal shock wave (ESW) on the penile hemodynamics and histopathology in rats. Methods: Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided at random into 3 groups. ESW application was performed with a Siemens Lithostar with the rats under anesthesia lying prone on the balloon probe. Rats in Group Ⅰ received a total of 1000 shocks at 18 kV and immediately underwent hemodynamic evaluation performed by direct electrostimulation of the cavernous nerve and measurement of intracavernous pressure (ICP). Rats in Group Ⅱ received 3 times 1000 shocks at 18 kV at weekly intervals and hemodynamic evaluation was performed 1 month after the last ESW application. Group Ⅲ served as the control. Histopathological examinations of penile tissues were done on Masson's trichrome and hematoxylin and eosin stained sections. Results: Penile hemodynamic evaluation showed a trend toward a diminished mean maximal ICP, duration of erection, ICP during the plateau phase and maximal ICP/blood pressure ratio in Group Ⅰ, although there was no significant significance. The mean latency period in Groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ was prolonged. Petechial bleeding within tunical layers and small loci of hemorrhage within the corpora cavernosa were observed in Group Ⅰ. However, histopathological examination failed to reveal any significant differences between the groups in terms of smooth muscle content, tunical thickness, organization of collagen bundles and elastic fiber-lattice framework.
