Computer Aided Design of Heat Treatment for AISI P20+Ni Mold Steel with Good Machinability

Computer aided design of heat treatment for AISI P20 mold steel with good machinability is attempted to proceed by the commercial software package Thermo-Calc (TCP+DICTRA). Through experimental and theoretical analysis of phase transformation during heat treatment, further knowledge of designing proper heat treatment is obtained. Then the machinability of AISI P20+Ni steel under given heat treatment condition is studied and the influencing factors to their machinability are analyzed. It is shown that heat treatment designed by computer simulation of carbide transformation is applicable to AISI P20+Ni steel with good machinability; AISI P20+Ni steel with tempered sorbite treated by quenching & tempering has optimal machinability; normalizing at the temperature of 910°C & tempering can avoid cracking and result in acceptable machinability in small thickness module.

With the two sublattices model, equilibrium compositions of ferrite (α) and austenite (γ) phases, as well as the volume percent of austenite (γ) in different TRIP steels are calculated. Concentration profiles of carbon, manganese, aluminum and silicon in these steels are also estimated under the lattice fixed frame of reference so as to identify if the equilibrium state is obtained. Through the comparison between the profiles after different time diffusion, the distribution of elements in phases is exhibited and the complex effect due to the mutual interaction of the elements on diffusion is discussed.

The relationship between the microstructures and magnetic properties of rare earth cast permanent Pr Fe B Cu alloys by hot deformation was studied. Fine and well aligned column grains can be obtained by using a proper solidification mould with a high cooling rate. The soft magnetic phase α Fe can be removed during proper annealing treatment. Hot pressing can produce the anisotropy and refine the grain size, so that the magnetic properties are greatly improved. The technique has the advantages of simple processing, low cost and high benefit, compared with the common sintering processing. Under the condition of the deformation temperature of 1073 K, 90% strain and strain rate of 40×10 -3 s -1 , the magnetic properties obtained are: B r=1.05 T, i H c=955 kA·m -1 , ( BH ) max =207 kJ·m -3 .

Concentration profiles of carbon, Mn, Al and Si in the steels were also estimated under the lattice fixed frame of reference so as to understand the complex mechanical behavior of TRIP steels after different isothermal bainitic transformation treatments. The effect of Si and Mn on transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) was discussed according to thermodynamic and kinetic analyses. It is recognized that Al also induces phase transformation in the steels but its TRIP effect is not as strong as that of Si.

The paper reviews previous publications and reports some comments about a semi empirical model of the growth and decay process of a planktonic microbial culture. After summarizing and reshaping some fundamental mathematical expressions, the paper highlights the reasons for the choice of a suitable time origin that makes the parameters of the model self-consistent. Besides the potential applications to predictive microbiology studies and to effects of bactericidal drugs, the model allows a suitable proxy of the fitness of the microbial culture, which can be of interest for the studies on the evolution across some thousand generations of a Long Term Evolution Experiment.

Objective To analyze and summarize the clinical,genotypic and pathological characteristics of children with PAX2 gene mutation in China,and to provide information for the monitoring,treatment and prognosis of the *** It was a case series analysis *** clinical data of children with PAX2 gene mutation in Pediatric Nephrology Department,TongijHi ospital Affiliatedd toTongji MedicalCollege,HIuazhong University of science and Technology from January 2014 to December 2022 were collected,and peripheral blood gene DNA was extracted and sequenced for whole exome *** clinical,pathological and genotypic characteristics of PAX2 gene variation of children in China were summarized by searching PubMed,Medline,China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Wanfang database and compared with the cases in this single *** Among the 13 children with PAX2 gene mutation,there were 9 males and 4 females,12 patients with abnormal urine tests,7 patients with small kidney volume by imaging examination,and 5 patients with renal *** clinical phenotypes were congenital renal and urinary tract malformations in 8 cases,renal coloboma syndrome in 1case,and hematuriaor proteinuria in 3 *** patients underwent renal biopsies,showing focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and C33glomerulopathy in1 case,focal segmental glomerulosclerosis in 1 case,thin basement membrane lesion in 1 case,and IgA nephropathy in 2 cases.
