The European Standard EN 1504 ＂Products and systems for protection and repair of concrete structures -- Definitions, requirements, quality control and evaluation of conformity＂ can be considered a real milestone for the companies involved in the rehabilitation of buildings, bridges, piers, pipelines, and other civil or industrial concrete structures. However in some cases the examination and, even more, the practical application of the proposed guidelines are made difficult by a complicated sub-division in principles and methods, and by a confusing and repetitive layout. The paper deals in particular with the principles and methods for the rehabilitation of concrete damage due to reinforcement corrosion, often strictly connected, anyway, to those adopted in order to rehabilitate the concrete itself. Suggestions are given for a possible future update of the Standard, based on the personal experience of the Authors.

Precooling is of significant importance for postharvest fruits and vegetables to control the quality degradation and prolong the *** precooling methods include room cooling,forced-air cooling,hydrocooling,vacuum cooling,contact or package icing,and cryogenic cooling,all of which have their advantages and *** first two methods with the cooling medium of air are extensively used because of the wide applicable range of fruits and *** studies have been devoted to cope with the drawbacks of these two air-based precooling methods with various evaluation criteria and optimization methods.A systematic literature review on these studies is firstly conducted with respect to experimental and numerical investigations respectively for the two *** main contributions from the previous studies are also summarized respectively with the research objectives and performance *** literature review indicates that the current performance evaluation is limited to apparent parameters and the optimal design is only proposed based on the performance evaluation and ***,with inspiration from the research in other domains,a scheme of advanced evaluation and optimization for air-based precooling methods is proposed with thermodynamic evaluation metrics and constructal optimization methods from the interdisciplinary perspective.

The main aim of this paper was to study the influence of ventilation during a typical experimental day, in the internal air temperature as well as in internal surface temperatures under the conditions of the outer environment, using an experimental method which allows a comparison of the thermal performance between four cell tests： a prototype called control （no vegetation） and three with different combinations of vegetation （roofs and facades） installed in a region of tropical climate. The experiments were developed in four test cells with dimensions 2.0 m × 2.50 m × 2.7 m. Measurements of internal surface temperatures and internal air temperatures were collected with the use of specific equipment, a data logger （CR1000, Campbell Scientific Inc.）, connected with two multiplexers 32 channels （416AM Campbell Scientific Inc.）. Data were recorded over a year and a typical heat day was selected, which was September 24, 2015. The results show that ventilation affects the internal temperature of the air, so that this gets even surpass the external temperature. Regarding surface temperatures, increased temperature, except those which are provided with vegetation, namely, the surfaces which have green walls and green roofs file the lower temperatures. Therefore, we can confirm the ability of vegetation to maintain more pleasant internal conditions compared to the test cells built with conventional materials, thus it can reduce cooling load efficiency.

The vitrification characteristics of municipal solid waste incinerator (MSWI) fly ash were investigated. Effects of temperature on the binding efficiency of heavy metals, the change of chemical compositions and the weight loss of fly ash in the range of 800-1350 ℃ were studied. Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) of the United States was used to analyze the leaching characteristics of heavy metals in fly ash and molten slag. Results indicate that chemical compositions, the weight loss of fly ash and the binding efficiency of heavy metals in fly ash have a tremendous change in the range of 1150-1260 ℃. The percentage of CaO, SiO2 and Al2O3 increases with the increasing temperature, whereas it is contrary for SO3, K2O, Na2O and Cl; especially when the temperature is 1260 ℃, the percentage of these four elements decreases sharply from 43.72% to 0.71%. The weight loss occurs obviously in the range of 1150-1260 ℃. Heavy metals of Pb and Cd are almost vaporized above 1000 ℃. Cr is not volatile and its binding efficiency can reach 100% below 1000 ℃. Results of TCLP indicate that the heavy metal content of molten slag is beyond stipulated limit values.

The purpose of this work is to describe the structure and hypoglycaemic activity of high-quality Hericium erinaceus dietary fiber(HQ-HDF),and compared with the *** dietary fiber(HDF).Scanning electron microscopy and particle size distribution showed that the ultrasonic-microwave assisted enzymatic method significantly changed the surface structure of HQ-HDF and reduced the particle *** results of high-performance gel chromatography showed that the ultrasonic-microwave assisted enzymatic method made the macromolecular components degrade into small molecular ***-HDF has significantly improved hyperlipidemic activity in *** results showed that HQ-HDF has blood *** levels of total cholesterol,triglycerides,low-density lipoprotein and high-density lipoprotein in serum of high-fat mice in medium and high dose group were significantly *** dose of HQ-HDF significantly decreased the activities of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase and glutamic oxalacetic transaminase,increased the activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione *** dose of HQ-HDF could decreased the content of *** addition,histopathological observation of mice liver showed that HQ-HDF could improve the lipid metabolism disorder of liver cells.

Elemental Analysis of Tea Leaves (Camellia Sinensis) and Their Own Soils at Eastern Black Sea Region in Turkey

People consume tea brewed from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant for about 50 centuries. Health benefits of the tea have been investigated for about three decades. Especially green tea shows antitoxic and lots of properties with its determined ingredients. Turkey is not only the one of the best consumer and but also good producer of the tea as being 5 th producer all over the world. It grows eastern region of the Turkey and high quality tea is imported and exported. To have quality tea, grooving soils are also crucial. In the current research, Tea leaves and their own grown soils were collected from 20 stations where the most tea producer cities as Trabzon, Rize and Artvin tea fields of the eastern of Black Sea Region in Turkey. The cultivated tea and their own grown soil samples were analysed by using EDXRF Spectrometry. In the soil samples, the elements Mg, Al, Si, P, S, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Sr, Ba, Pb on percent level and the elements Mg, Al, Si, P, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn and Sr in the tea leaves were detected by using SKRAY *** also the obtained data were evaluated with the Kriging interpolation of geostatistical method. Element content were investigated in the soil and tea samples according to the geological situations and also the relation of elemental difference between the tea and the own grown soil. Pb/Zn ratio was also anaysed in the samples.

A five years study of fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis in Iran's slaughterhouses

Objective:Fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis are the two endemic parasitic diseases of Iran that make lots of economical damages *** study has been performed to evaluate infection rate of domesticated animals to fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis among of slaughtered animals in slaughterhouses of ***:In this crosssectional study infection rate of slaughtered animals has been analyzed in 28 provinces of Iran during 5 years period(2003-2007).Results:It is indicated that infection rate was 4.84%to fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis in this five-year study *** removed livers were 815 807 and 771 026 numbers from consumption cycle for fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis respectively from 32 714 926 slaughtered *** highest infection rate was Gilan(20.91%),Mazandaran(16.36%),and Esfahan(9.95%) respectively among studied provinces while the lowest infection rate was indicated in Ilam(0.76%),Boushehr(0.84%),and Yazd(1.51%) respectively. Our data proved the highest frequency rate were identified in summer and autumn for both fascioliasis and ***:Fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis are continuously increasing in slaughter animals of *** the results of current study can improve and move up activities against these zoonosis diseases.

A formal policy development framework, based on a system of systems （SOS） approach, is synthesized to systematically address, in an integrative and adaptive fashion, major global challenges, such as the current food and fjnancial crises, and their interactions with other key natural, societal, and technological systems. A SoS approach seeks to respect the different value systems of multiple participants, to harness complexity through effective integration, and to engage the world of uncertainty and unpredictability with an adaptive response. Faced with the present global challenges, what is needed are strategic and operational methods which lead to ethical policies, enhance integrative and adaptive management practices, and are able to direct conflict resolution in a positive direction. Policy makers need tools to model and analyze complex systems which they are trying to responsibly govern, taking into account values and risks to design and evaluate different policies. A preliminary investigation into the global food system is undertaken to understand the SoS and to provide insights on how to carry out policy development using the proposed framework.
